Saturday's Squirrel Story

With the arrival of the oppressive heat and humidity in Kansas, I now live under a self-imposed house containment (with Mom's stamp of approval). I spend 99.99999% of my time inside and don't go on any regular walks anymore. But I know that I need to remain a loyal and valued member of the OWAS ( Operationg-Whack-A-Squirrel. So I decided that I would take charge of keeping the homefront safe from those pesky squirrels.


What's that odor that is waking me up? Smells like Squirrel!!!


I'd better check this one out.

IT'S A SQUIRREL DECOY!!!

We may have to convene a meeting of the local OWAS chapter to question this critter on the whereabouts of our leader Tank. Meeting at our place at noon, maybe we can mull things over lunch.

    That is a mean looking squirrel you have there and I would be careful with him if I were you.

    I am glad you have such a good comfy life for these hot days. My Mom didn't think there was anything that could slow me down but high temps can!

    The toy should have been rubbed around in nuts and then maybe it would have tricked you more. Great toy. I love squirrels. I had one as a pet, when I was 6 yrs. old. She was an orphan, sick & took claim to us. Her wildness kicked in when better, so we released her back to where she belonged.

    Yup, You need to stay inside because it's not nice outside. Hope the meeting went well and decisions were made so you can destroy that imitation squirrel! Make sure you open it completely up and remove all of the furry inside parts!

    It is furry hot in Chattanooga as well. Mommy keeps us all inside, except for potty breaks. I usually take 2 minutes and I'm back on the air vent!!! Nice to see woo,Dakota!!

    You can practice your squirrel work with that decoy, no problem.

    I am with you. When its hot, stay in the cool inside. Although I have tried to convince mom to leave the door open and let the cool air outside for me to enjoy there too.

    I agree, Dakota. It's too muy hot to be goin' outside. You need ice cubes in your waterbowl! The skwerls are way too cheeky for this heat.
