A lot of our furiends have been posting shots of their skies and pretty clouds. We snapped a couple of ours while we were out for our walk yesterday in some very hot and humid temps. Here are a couple of pretty ones.
And this shot to the west forebodes what was coming overnight. We had pounding rain and ferocious winds. A tornado touched down in Drexel, Missouri, just southeast of us, with lots of damage. Mom was worried that her daughter's baby was going to decide to make his grand entrance overnight but luckily he made the right choice to stay tucked inside for a while longer.
So, back to our walk, here I was walking along with my brother Phantom, thinking we were going to have a great opportunity to do some squirrel patrol. We are crossing one of the trippy trappy bridges that leads us along the trail we usually follow.
We stopped to check out the creek to see if any of those pesky critters were looking for a drink when first thing I knew, Mom got that urge - you know, the pluck-a-holic one.

Lovely pictures of the skies. Looks pretty hot, same thing here too though it did rain for a bit in the morning. Very nice pic of you and your brother, love the smiling pic of Phantom! Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Maxx
We can tell your soon-to-be nephew is smart already. He knows when NOT to make his grand entrance!
ReplyDeletePhantom looks like the cat that swallowed the canary!
We love to look at clouds and try and find things in the shapes.
ReplyDeletePoor Thunder! But soon it will be Phantom's turn and then you can laugh at him!

Just found your blog!!! I'm new to this world but I am so excited to find other husky owners out there! We have a rescued husky who makes my heart pitter patter every time I see him... even if I have to vacuum 14 times day. :) Your dogs are absolutely beautiful... and look like they are much better behaved than mine :)
ReplyDeleteHi, You Guys...

We had to laugh at Phantom's laugh!! Too cute!!! And we think all Mom's must be alike. We can hardly climb up on Mom's lap without her finding something to push or pull - she is always finding a hair that needs to be plucked out.

Oh poor Thunder. You'll have to get your revenge somehow.
ReplyDeleteWe are very glad you survived the storm okay! I heard it was very bad!
Huffle Mawson
Hey Thunder you are having a bad time with that plucking thing. What is it with these women that they can't resist pulling out chunks of our fur?
ReplyDeletePippa
How awful to have mom pulling at your furs out in public. At least she left some nice nesting materials for the birds.
ReplyDeleteTornado! Yikes!
Slobbers,
Mango
LOL!! Pluck-a-holic??
ReplyDeleteTell Phantom not to laugh at you cos it'd be his turn someday.. :)
Oh gosh, Thunder - how could she do that to you in public! I'm blushing for you!! Although I also have some husky and malamute friends and they say their humans do that to them too! They say there is too much fur stuff and so the humans like to leave it in the park, rather than at home or in the garden! :-) Gosh - you do have a LOT of fur...maybe if I had that much, I wouldn't need my fleece pyjamas!
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
poor thunder - hope you had a nice walk anyway
ReplyDeletewoodrow sweetie mj
Op Pack,
ReplyDeleteHa! My mom just gets out the razor and shaves Ziggy right down! He likes it though. Luckily I have short fur so I don't get the shave. I really like your walkin video!
Pedro
Oh, by the way! We got a new bi-ped in our family on 6/10/09! My mom's nephew's wife had a little girl, 6 pounds, 8 ounces. So cute I could bite her!
