Thank you, Daisy, for sharing this nice award with us.
That was so nice of you.
That was so nice of you.
And the rules say to share it with 15 furiends. Well, you know what we Siberians think about rules. It is too hard to name just 15, so go ahead, accept this as an early Christmas gift from the OP Pack.
We were very sad this week to learn that a very sweet kitty furiend has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Charybdis, the beautiful and beloved furbaby of our friends at Alasandra: The Cats & a Dog, will be missed so much by so many. Please send some good thoughts to her family. If you have ever visited their blog, you know that they have beautiful gardens and share their lovely flowers with us all the time. Today they have dedicated their gardening tour to the memory of Charybdis. It is a little cold here for any outside blooms, but we wanted to offer Mom's beautiful Christmas cactus as a tribute to the memory of Charybdis.

And one more spin. Mom got this a few years ago. We all would love to be able to pull a sled like that too.
As we said, it is very cold here today. It was only 2 degrees when Mom got up this morning. Yes, we sibes are supposed to love the cold. Someone must have forgotten to give the message to Phantom.

Thunder, on the other hand, loves the snow and the cold. Here he is trying to be patient and wait for his brother to wake up
and go out with him.
and go out with him.
You guessed it, he gave up pretty quickly and headed out by himself to check out the yard. We still have some snow, not much, but some is better than none.
Oh oh, maybe I made a mistake, it is pretty frigid out here.
Woos, the OP Pack
What a pawesome post!
ReplyDeleteKhongrats on your award!
I'm sure Charybdis and her purrramily will be khwite touched by the khakhtus -
We are still sad fur them -
If TD holds on just a bit longer, I'll do my best to get there and play in the SNOW with him!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
I'm so sorry about the loss of the sweet kitty Charybdis. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
ReplyDeleteLove the decorations!! I also love the pictures of Phantom and Thunder...maybe it is a little too cold..please can I come back in!! That's so cute!!
It is very cold up here in Nebraska. It was below zero when we went out for the morning walk. My human was shivering and making this chattering sound. I cut my walk short for their sake!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award guys!
ReplyDeletePhantom, Samantha here, I love to follow the sun in the house and get warm that way.
TD, you are like me(June)! I love the snow and cold too! I love sitting in the snow and just chill.
Samantha & June
Okay, mom has one of those plant cacti things, but it doesn't look like that. While it's tek-nick-ally green and alive, but I don't think it will have pretty flowers!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award - well deserved! Love the Cactus and carousel - both beautiful - the carousel is amazing - I love how it turns! How cool to have a fireplace in the kitchen!! I'll guess that you need it in 2 degree weather!! I'd love to play with you in the snow, but that sun looks pawesomely lovely too!
ReplyDeleteHugs xo
Sammie
We had flurries yesterday and Tsar wanted to go out, but it was so cold and windy that he came right back in and curled up in his blanket. He spent the whole day that way. Our snow didn't stick.
ReplyDeleteOur best wishes to the family of Charybdis and the Christmas Cactus is lovely. One of our favorite plants!
ReplyDeleteWe had 20 below zero last night, and its warming up to five below today. Whooo, banana belt weather!
My trips out are fast ones!
Kisses,
Stella
Congrats on the award, and very lovely word about Charybdis.
ReplyDeleteIt looks VERY cold over your way. Brrrrrrrrr!
Congrats on well-deserved award... I love the husky carousel, very unique, just like the OP Pack!
ReplyDeleteStay warm,
Kit
Loki's like Phantom! He LOVES the sun. Juno's like TD.... colder the better! she hasn't seen snow... can you believe that? I'm a bad sibe momma!
ReplyDeletewe love your carrosel and cactus! we haven't even decorated yet!
That's great!!! Outside to play, and inside to lounge in the sunlight. Sounds good to us!
ReplyDeleteHugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose
OOOOH...we love the carousel! Lucky Eskimo to have such pretty doggies.
ReplyDeleteGussie
It's been colder here in N. CA than usual and I was watching the news and they highlighed dogs and cold wether.... they were saying no matter what type of dog you have (thick fur or very little fur) if they aren't use to the cold they wont much care for it! So even though you ar meant to be snow pups and pull sleds... in reality you live inside! So I think i'ts normal that you might get cold and want to come in!
ReplyDeletexo martine & the kiddlets
2 degrees?!? Our mom feels bad for your mom, but I say that it sounds wonderful. I might just pack my bags and come spend the weekend with you.
ReplyDeleteLuv,
Kat
Hi there Phantom and Thunder!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award! Sure is exciting that you are enjoying the snow there. Phantom, hope you had a chance to zoom zoomies outside too. Though you really look so comfty roll rolling in dreamland.
We really like the carousel. Round and round it goes.
We also cross our paws to say a prayer for your friend, Charybdis.
- Fudgie, Princess & the Piappies
Sorry about the loss of your friend. I sure they will like seeing the cactus. The carousel very cool indeed!
ReplyDeleteI think I like the warmth too!
~lickies, Ludo
Congratulations on your much deserved award. The beautifully blooming Christmas cactus is a lovely memorial to your friend, Charybdis...I am sure her family will appreciate the lovely photo. Mom thought your dog sled team merry-go-round was awesome! Enjoy the snow...and the warm sunny window naps...life is all about variety.
ReplyDeleteHi Guys, that was a lovely tribute to your friend - our thoughts are with her family.
ReplyDeleteOur Christmas cactus is in flower this Christmas too which makes a change.
We loved the husky carousel - just the right decoration for you house.
We love your pics in the snow.

What a pretty cactus, and we LOVE that Sibe carousal!
ReplyDeleteThank woo for saying I could come down there and cuddle wiff you guys to warm up. I just might have to do that cuz I'm still a little frozen, although it has warmed up to 20 degrees right now.

Lovely post.. I love the little carousel. just so pretty. The cactus I love. Ours flowered early for grandma's aniversary. The last picture is priceless.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeletePhantom, I'd be in there lying in the sun with you. That's the best thing ever. The cactus is looking very pretty this time of the year! Maybe it prefers being on the mantel like that.
ReplyDeleteHi guys, I'm so glad you got snow too! I often think of all my Sibe friends when I'm out in the white stuff.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool carousel! Bet the little two-leggers love it. And nice Christmas cactus; my human's isn't blooming so well this year, only one measly bud :-(
Your pal,
Sedona
We love that carousel!
ReplyDeleteLucky you with still some snow left to play in.

Maggie and Mitch
Congratulations on your award!
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry to hear about Charybdis. We're thinking of her family.
Sometimes it is a little too cold to be outside so we don't blame you both for wanting to be inside today!
That is such an awesome carousel! Did you guys get it for Christmas before?
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your friend... it's such a lousy time for anyone to go over the rainbow bridge.
Sonic
Phantom and Thindew

Hi guys!!
ReplyDeleteThis IS your kind of weather, isn't it? We saw a husky today in our rally class and thought of you :) The windchill is -14F here, so maybe he was dreaming of being outside instead of listening to his handler!!
Snorts-
Brutus the Frenchie
The Christmas Cactus is lovely. We are very touched by your offering it as a tribute to Charybdis. We knows she would have enjoyed whapping it's dangling leaves, it look very fun to play with. ~Socks, Scylla & Fenris
ReplyDeletePS: Thunder I will come play in the snow with you. ~Fenris
Contgratualtions on your award!
ReplyDeleteWe are very sad that Charybdis has gone to the bridge. The family will feel sadness for a long time.
I will send love from my heart.
It is very cold here too- it was 8 this am and the pipes are frozen.
Whats a Tweedles to do?
I know you love to go play in the snow and cold-but don't stay out very long. Come back in and sit by the fire, and I will come curl up with you.
We loved the little things you shared-the carrsouel and the little cactus plant.
I loved looking at your pictures- as always- cause your so beautiful.
love
tweedles
Hmm I think Phantom needs a new pair of panytloons from Miss Khyra. You may want to order a new pair. Good thing the christmas cactus shares the sunbeam.
ReplyDeleteThat carousel is very fun.
Norwood
Hmm, 2 degrees is pretty cold ... still, I think Trixie would be willing to go romping in it with you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award! its snowing in real life and snowing on your blog, exciting!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Guys!
ReplyDeleteKongratulations on your awards!
Wow it's snowing too on your blog!!
Kool! Kool! Kool!
Cheers,
Maxx
Oh Thunder and Phanthom
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to her about Charybdis. We will go over there right now.
That little bit of snow we got last week was a spit in the bucket compared to yours. Mommy says she thinks that Thunder has such gorgeous eyes and she would love to come out and play in the now with him if she was 40 years younger. I would rather stay in with Phanthom and lay in the sun.
{{{huggies}}}....Mona
Woof! Lovely post. Congrats on your award. So sorry for Charybids. SNOW SNOW!!! Just want to wish you and your family Happy Holidays. I just posted my last post for the year. We are going on a long Holiday break. Lots of Golden Holiday Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteIt is very very cold here too, but we have not gotten any snow yet. I love the snow and the lil snowballs my fur makes on my legs...mom doesn't like it so much though.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so gorgeous in the snow and the cactus is pretty with all those flowers.
Deetzy
What a wonderful post. Everything about it. Your tribute to Charybdis with the picture of your blooming Christmas cactus (against a lovely background) was such a perfect message. We know they'll love and appreciate it. And that husky carousel! How lucky you are to own that. It sets dreams and fantasies in motion! Moma LOVES carousels, and this one is so special.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad you got a bit of snow, but totally understand the frigid weather. Like you, we like the sunny spots to nap. Speaking of which .... where's Jake?
Congratulations on your award! It's so well deserved. We love your blog.
Off to check our Christmas cactus. It usually waits until January ... which is fine ... we need some brightening up in that cold snowy month!
Love
Fergi (and Jake ... I just heard a big yawn from the other room)
Your pack makes me smile every day. What a beautiful pair with such different dogonalities! My dogs love both the snow and cold, and then coming inside and following the sun rays from one side of the house to the other. They know how to live!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you get more snow soon!
oh what a wonderful post.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on your award and we LOVE the carousel.
emmitt says he is with phantom ~ sun good ... cold... well it is too cold.
we love seeing thunder enjoying it! how fun!

Congratulations on the award!
ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear about Charybdis... Ishtar's Ark had a beautiful kitten for a short period of time; she left such a void after she died all too soon.
Sheba sends warm greetings to Phantom and asks if she can borrow some of his good fur in return? Snow looks very fun indeed but she's afraid she'd get her paws, ears and nose frozen...
Warm greetings from West Africa!
I'm with you Thunder and will take a sunbeam over the cold anytime!!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory
I love the snow falling on your blog page! Very cool effect. Did you get any more real stuff?
ReplyDeleteHey, there's snow on yur blog! Khool! how'd ya do that? That might be the only way I get any snow this year. We sent sad woos to Charybdis's family. *sigh*, the bridge is a busy place lately. Woo look so furyy fluffy out there in the cold, TD!
ReplyDeletea-roos to yous,
Jack a-roo
PS - We have one of those husky carousel's too - isn't it fun to watch spin?
Don't worry, Phantom, while Rusty loves playing in the snow, he prefers to sleep under a blanket and is quite adept at pulling one over himself.
ReplyDeleteSweet of you to remember Charybdis in your post. That is always sad. If you don't hear from me next week please have a very Merry Christmas! You guys are the best and deserve everything on your list.
ReplyDeleteKasha and Africa
Phantom is my kind of Sibe. I'll be happy to enjoy the warmth of the sun any day with him.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of my ma and the entire family, I want to thank you for all the feedback on potty training. Apparently Dakota's issues were temporary and only at night. Phew! We have new developments: only 5-10 minutes ago I heard our mom scream at the top of her lungs: Frankie's potty trained! (all that 'cause the brat peed on her pad twice in a row ha ha). We'll just have to wait and see, but it has been almost a full year.
Thank you,
Twink!
OMD! How rude of me: Congratulations on your award!!!
ReplyDeleteTwink!
That's the prettiest Christmas cactus we have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteWe love the snow flakes falling down. Thanks for sending them our way. It's probably the closest to snow that we are going to get. At least down here in Texas.
We'll put in a good for you guys when we see Santa next week.
Luv ya,
Riley and Star.
I like to lay in the morning sun in our family room too. But, I also like to hang out outside in the lovely snow.
ReplyDeleteHolly
Sorry to hear about the loss of your cat friend. Your Christmas cactus is lovely...never had luck with them, even in Arizona! I think we all enjoy a nice soak in the sun from time to time. We love the snow too though. The bitter cold we could do without.
ReplyDeleteSmooches,
BabyRocketDog and Hootie
PS-We met a PooSky at the hotel this morning. A real cutie. Part Poodle part Husky.
Hi guys - well done on your award, very well deserved! Wonderful photos (as always!) - you guys are sooo photogenic, what's your secret?!! We loved your carosel too. Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
ReplyDeletepretty pictures! love the snow pictures. wish i can experience tt some day.
ReplyDeleteand im so sorry about the loss of the kitty, charybdis.
the khakhtus is beautiful
love, snowie
Congrats on such a great award! Phantom is a boy after my own heart! It is always better to tan your tummy than be out in the cold. I'm starting to wonder if TD has frozen some of his brain cells! It has been horribly cold here, after all.
ReplyDeleteSnuggles,
Twix
Oops! I meant to tell you that I have been playing catch up and left some messages on older posts (back to 12/1)as well.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas Cactus is very pretty!! we don't get snow here, but it sure looks cold!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Charybdis.
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas cactus and the carousel are beautiful.
Great pictures of you two guys.
Love the sunshine too, Phantom.
That's a great carousel! It's so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love to sleep in the sun on cold days too, but my cold days are probably warm for you. :)
I'm so sorry to hear about Charybdis.
