Several of you said you liked watching our videos so we put together another one. The first part is all about Ciara's first walk in the neighborhood. Then she takes the big step and walks along with her brothers. Mom says it wasn't too bad but Phantom wasn't too crazy about her walking next to him. But it was still fun. The second part of the video is more playtime between the half-siblings. Thunder does very well with her up to a point and then he just can't control his strength OR his big mouth. Mom has done a lot of editing here so you don't have to hear the puppy squeals.
Phantom is doing pretty well with Ciara but he has assumed more of the role of the pack policepup. He totally ignores her if he is alone with her, but as soon as she and TD starts clowning around, he is right there to yell at them. We will have to try to catch that on video too. Now for the video. What's up with the editing? I say no puppy playtime is complete until the puppy goes SQUEEEEE! Maybe that's why my nephew Oliver doesn't come over to see me anymore.

Clara is one well behaved puppy. The notion that you can already walk all three of them on leash at one time is amazing! Until very recently, our 'puppy' continually play attacked our older dog while walking on leash. It made walking very hard!
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to weigh Clara every week and tell us how much she grows. I always do that with my puppies and it's astonishing how fast they convert puppy food into dog!
Wooos! Ciera is absolutely adorable, even going on nice walkies, but mostly playing chase! I love that game, hmmm, maybe I do want a puppy... nah... never mind.

Great job on the walkie, Ciara!! So brave - sniffing all those potentially scary things, even picked up a leaf!! Gotta watch that leash though, it'll get you hung up around things (hint: always walk in the same side of the tree as mom does). You are growing up fast!

Wow, she did great on her first walk. Most puppies pull backwards, but she was in front of you most of the time, way to go Ciara!

Oh that is so cute.. She sure likes walking with her brothers.. Phantom will give in pretty soon. He doesn't was Thunder and Ciara to have all the fun.. Callie always has to be out in front when we walk and she won't walk next to Louie. All is good if Gus is in the middle...

had this post up to watch earlier but couldn't download movie in time. I love how you walk 3 dogs. i've been considering a 3rd (someday after Europe) but have always wondered about the walking part. I pretty much do what you do, one hand, let the leashes twist and they can just untwist in one hand. but i still thought it would be hard! you make it look easy even with a PUPPY!

and finally: i love how you praise Ciara for potty outside. so many people get this wrong. perfect. love how thunder goes and smells it (marks it even?) at the end...
