Sharing on Friday

Hello to all from beautiful OP on a gorgeous autumn day! We are having some fantastic weather and hope it lasts for weeks to come. We are very willing to "share" it with you too. Sure, we want snow, but the sun and cool temps are just awesome.

Now you might think we are posing here because the Momster is bribing us with some tasty treats so we will look at the flashy beast. Or maybe you think we are waiting to go for a fun walk. Or perhaps we are excited about some new toys.

Well, all of those might be part of the "picture", but you see, we are really here to get your attention. We have a big favor to ask of you for one of our special furiends. Do you know this beauty?

Some of you are already followers of the marvelous adventures that occur in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado for a very special lady KB and her two pups K and R. And if you don't know them, you are missing out on one of the best blogs out there.

This is K. See what we mean!

Not too long ago, K, a gorgeous chocolate brown lab, suffered a serious injury. She had to have a very difficult surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in her front left paw. The injury caused one of her toes to stick upward at a very awkward angle. You can read about the surgery here and how it has impacted both her human KB and K here.

The surgeon said that K's toe returned to its normal position after he sewed the tendon back together. But the surgeon isn't sure about the ultimate outcome. The rupture was a unique injury as it did not occur in a spot that would have been expected to rupture. K's paw will heal but there is no guarantee about her future "sharing" in the romping and rolling in the Rockies with KB. If you have the time to read just a couple of the posts, you will understand the heartache and concern that KB is feeling. We all love our pets very much, but the bond between KB and K is very deep, probably deeper than most of us can really understand.

As you can see from the photo above, K is a fighter. Those of us who follow this blog know she gets this determination from her human. Look at her after just a couple of weeks post-surgery. Even with that big bandage to protect her healing paw, she managed to hold her head high and proud as she climbed atop one of her favorite rocks.

And so now for the favor -

We would love to ask you to "share" the power of the paw for KB and K in the hope that K will soon be able to rejoin her soulmate on the trails of Colorado. Let's do our best to get her back where she belongs.

We should probably put a bit of a warning out to you. If you visit KB, K, and R, you just might get hooked on one of the best blogs you will ever find. You will not regret the time spent there reading and enjoying. You will want to go back in time and read more of the posts. Amazing adventures, fantastic photos, incredible views of nature at its best, and volumes of inspiring prose - it's all there. We look forward to it every day and always come away feeling so uplifted and enriched by our visit.

We send our thanks in advance for whatever good wishes and thoughts you can find to "share" with our furiend. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend together with family, furiends, and friends.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
