Monday's Mania and Merriment
Hard as it may be to believe from this photo, Ciara is afraid of the Christmas tree. Mom had to put superglue on her bottom to get her to "stay" for the pic:) BOL (AND bribe her with a piece of salmon skin.)
We have received so many wonderful cards from so many of you - thank you all so much. We are trying to figure out the best way to display them. They are all so very nice. And the wishes and sentiments that come with them are just beautiful.
As many of you have noted, this is an incredibly busy time for all of us. We don't really want to go so far as to say we are taking a blogging break, but we think the time has come for us to slow down the pace a bit. We are doing our best to keep reading and commenting as much as we can, but the Momster said we are really struggling to "get it all done". So we are going to try to visit as often as we can and put up a short post here and there. In the meantime, we send you all good wishes during this busy time.

ReplyDeleteWe all have to kind of scale back a bit during the holidays. I was gone fur over a week during our annual ThanksDeerMas family celebration time. We will miss you something fierce though.
Sorry Ciara is scared of the tree. She'll get over that when Santa Paws puts all those goodies under there though. I'm just sayin.
Hey guys...we know exactly what you mean! We seem to be chronic, so we'll certainly forgive you for holiday "busy."
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo. Tell us what you use to remove the superglue please?
gussie
Great Photo, you are so lucky they are all so well behaved!! I sure could have used some suepr glue for Fred when we were trying ours
ReplyDeleteWe're just picturing Ciara sitting there -- and sitting -- and sitting!!!
ReplyDeleteWe think your Momster should do whatever she needs to to have a lovely, blessed, stress-free time planning for Christmas -- so please tell her not to worry about anything else!!!
Wirey woofs,
Jake and Just Harry
The superglue worked and you captured a great shot!
ReplyDeleteWe'll miss you, but certainly understand the need to let some things "go" this time of year...
Please post when you can!
xoxo,
~K and The Pups
The dogs look great in this picture in front of the tree! It's hard to believe that Ciara was scared of the tree...I would have never guessed. I understand about taking it a little slower. I think we all do.
ReplyDeleteElyse and Riley

ReplyDeleteCatch up when you can!
What a beautiful picture!!! The tree is absolutely wonderful!! I laughed at the super glue of Ciara though!!! Lots of love, Holly and mom
ReplyDeleteBeawootiful ic of woo pups & that gorgeously decorated tree! But, SUPERGLUE??? REALLY???
ReplyDeleteSo, how much superglue does it take to glue down all that butt fluff? Ha-roo roo!
enjoy your time together, we'll be here clear till christmas, then take a bit of a break while our boy is visiting.
jack & moo
Don't feel bad, Ciara. If we had a tree, Sam would undoubtedly be afraid of it.
ReplyDeleteWe understand about being busy.
Take a breath and go walkies....

Three cookies needed for being so good staying there :-) x x x

That is a fabulous Christmas photo - you all look so good in front of your Christmas tree (which is really gorgerous!)
ReplyDeleteWe know all about being busy - we keep making lists but it doesn't seem to be helping.
take care
Clive and Murray
That picture is fantastic! Wow! It looks like a professional photographer took it.
ReplyDeleteCiara, be careful! Years ago, when just Treat and Hawk lived here, one night while Mom and Dad were out, Hawk's toy got too close to the tree. He reached in to get it, got caught on the lights, and took the whole thing down! The next year, the tree trunk got soft in the stand and that one fell over on him twice! He never met a Christmas tree that he didn't give the stink eye to. So be careful around that thing!
We sure understand about the holidays being busy! Mom and Dad have to go to FIVE family Christmases. Mom calls this "the season of poverty!"
Bunny
We totally understand and are slowing down a bit around our house, too. Enjoy your holidays!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
P.S: I am sorry to hear Phantom is having tummy troubles!

Enjoy the hustle bustle of the holidays. Spend lots of time with family and friends. Sit in the glow of the Christmas tree and just sigh in contentment. We will be waiting during the doldrums of January and February to reconnect and hear all of your stories and adventures. Know we are thinking of you and wishing you all the most wonderful snowy season.
ReplyDeleteThe picture is lovely. Us cats don't do sit stay and certainly now with Fenris next to us, so there is no way the Mom can get a picture of all of us under the tree. U make it look so easy.
ReplyDeleteLove your header.
Your tree is beootifuls and da picture is great too! Dis time of year it's hard fur everybody to keeps up wif all da bloggies so no worries! :)
ReplyDeleteWOofs and Licks,
Maggie MAe
We don't blame you Ciara. Those trees have been known to fall down and trap totally innocent Siberians that were not running and playing tag under the tree, despite the fact that a certain Natasha was found sitting in the middle of said fallen tree when she was a puppy. A picture of innocence.
ReplyDeleteAnd there be a prawblem with being skeered of Chrissmuss trees? Trees belong OUTSIDE not INSIDE! Hope that supah gloo comes off you behind, Ciara. But it do be a bootiful pikshure of you three, pawfect fur a Chrissmuss cars.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous Christmas photo! Santa will certainly visit you three!
ReplyDeleteWe understand being busy and needing a break. Our mommy has been too busy to even get Christmas cards or even a tree yet *gasp*! She better get our presents though!
Nice Christmas picture!
ReplyDeleteWow your tree is pawsome!
Any treats underneath it?
Cheers,
Maxx
Beautiful tree! haha, Ciara, the salmon skin better be worth it!
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful Christmas :)
I LOVE trees Ciara! But you are correct, they do not belong in the house all covered with lights and shiny balls that pups cannot play with!
ReplyDeleteWe sure will miss you all but totally understand about the break, the Holidays are stressful and busy for everyone!
Have a Pawsome Howl-a-Dawy!

ReplyDeleteStanzie likes to sneak down to the tree for a little peek. She has seen enough holidays to know that it is all GOOD!!

That is the most AMAZING photo my puppy pals!! It seriously looks like a professional shoot, you all look perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree! And what a brave girl, to sit right there in the middle when she was so scared. She doesn't look scared at all; must be those courageous Sibe genes - which let her cousins look polar bears in the eye without blinking.
ReplyDeleteJed & Abby
Such a beautiful photo and one I must save for my laptop wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteYou all look so beautiful.
Hope you have a wnderful Christmas time and a Happy New Year. I know what you mean about struggling to keep up with it all and empathise.
with much love

Happy Holidays, Momster, Phantom, Thunder and Ciara!
ReplyDeleteThat's a really wonderful photo of the 3 of you! We are also getting a lot of delays with our postings and Christmas preparations and we hope you would wait out for our Holiday Greetings. We have you in our list its just that piappies mom is so loaded with W-O-R-K that we got to be a bit more patient. Hope you guys understand.
Do enjoy the snowflakes for us as we don't get them in our side of the world.
Love,
Piappies Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Pai & Wai-Max
That is just a wonderful foto! And I woulds never guess that Miss Ciara was hesitant to be in it!
ReplyDeleteOP Mom did good with da glue on her bottom
MinnaK
A great photo of your trio!!! It is hard to believe that Ciara is afraid of the tree based on that photo!
ReplyDeleteWe're having trouble keeping up with everything over here too so we understand.
P-T-C
ReplyDeleteHey wow looks like mom's bribery worked! I'm sitting next to a tree right now.. she can send me my salmon skin at any time now.
norwood
As you know, we blog when we can and always behind with comments.. sigh.. a vicious cycle but it's suppose to be fun! don't worry
We give woos 4 paws up fur that picture! It is furry nice!
ReplyDeleteWe cannot believe that Miss Ciara is afraid of the tree!
Dad is always yelling at us fur wagging our tails too close to the tree. Mom has to leave the bottom of the tree bare as our tails kept "sweeping" the ornaments off the tree or the ornaments get hooked on our tails.
Sam & June
Great picture.. Poor Ciara...its ok..the tree wont bite..
ReplyDeleteBentley used to bark at the Christmas tree when we turned the lights on. I think we kept it pretty dark that year.
ReplyDeleteIt is getting hectic these days, and we certainly understand taking some time away from the computer. We'll email you if we need to get in touch and we'll be here doing dumb things when you get back after the holidays. Have a great Christmas and we hope 2011 is the very best year ever.
Sue and the dogs
Such a beautiful pic! We are also scared of the xmas tree so we appreciate how hard that pic must have been.
ReplyDeleteThe tree and the three of you looks wonderful.
We are also slowing down a bit as you say there is so much to do!
Even more difficult when you can't get out to do it......!
love
Martha and Bailey xxx
Dad thought Callie looked a bit wide in that picture...
ReplyDeleteBig Sloppy Kisses
Gus, Louie and Callie
I totally get what you mean about blogging. I'm always so far behind and it feels like I'll never catch up, especially if I miss a day.
ReplyDeleteShiver tends to scare easily. I just have a mini Christmas tree but I'm sure if I have a big one, he'd be afraid of it. And Chico would just pee on it. lol
Your tree is beautiful, as are your three dogs.
Oh, my! What a gorgeous photo of you three beautiful dogs in front of that awesome Christmas tree...I LOVE that photo! It's perfect - like you :-)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and lots of good snacks for you guys to enjoy!
Love,
Gizzy and his mommy, Doris
Superglue bottoms!? Hmmmm. Great photo! We don't have a tree (yet) so don't know how I will react! We're all feeling the busy, tough to keep up at the moment, but always nice when we get a chance to visit!!
ReplyDeleteHugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose
Good for you for taking a break! You will be missed, but I know where I find you if I need to. :)
ReplyDeletePawsome photo!! Might be better if the baby girl is afraid of the tree, so she won't be tearing it up!
ReplyDeleteWe totally understand the "busy" factor!
Holly and Khady
With #1 at the other end of the world, we are behinder than most people... Panic stations!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture of the three of you! Your Christmas tree is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
Oh your tree is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the pups in the picture. We would have never known that Ciara was scared of it. :)
Lots of Luv & Kisses
Addie, Lucie and Hailey
Ciara probably thinks the tree is some sort of alien life-form!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas pic is PAWSOME!! Can we use it for our Christmas Furiends posts? Pleeeeeease???
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Kisses!
The Fiesty Three
Congratulations on that beautiful Christmas picture!!!! Really really wonderful!!!

The Fiesty Three
Hee! Hee! Ciara - you silly girl! But it was sure worth that picture - it's gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteMy humans are awfully busy too, especially with preparing for our move, and Hsin-Yi said she is just struggling to get it all done as well! So we totally understand!
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
We LOVE this picture!!!! Super glue, or no!
ReplyDeleteWe've been trying and trying to keep up with reading ... even if we don't leave comments. It's always a treat to come see the OP Pack ... you've gotta be some of the most handsome doggies in OP ... if not all of Kansas! If not all of the midwest. (OK. We're getting a little carried away! But you deserve it!)
We are watching Moma scurry around like crazy trying to get ready to leave for another road trip ... and we're pretty sure that we might get to go ... 'cause we see a pile of our stuff growing and growing! We hear them say we may be leaving very very soon. Moma'll email you .... she knows the details that we don't quite understand. But it has something to do with weather. And a cemetery. And a motel near the cemetery!
Hmmmm.
Your sorta absent pals,
jake and Fergi (hope you haven't forgotten us!)
xxoo
Wait til she sees all the presents from Santa under the tree on Christmas morning, she'll get over her fear in no time! Take time to enjoy the season with your family and the pups, look forward to seeing more photos from you soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't get Suka to sit still without his rawhide in general. As soon as my camera comes out he goes into moving mode :) LOVELY picture!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a BEAUTIFUL photo!!!
