We are still hoping Spring is going to come back soon and stick around for a while. The Momster had some workers here, and they put down some fresh mulch in our landscape beds - you know, the ones that are missing lots of shrubs and plants due to the resident canine gardener.
Yes, Mom. We are being very good - look how nicely we are posing for you and see how white our furs look against this lovely rich red mulch. And you don't see any holes, do you?
Later in the day . . . . .
Did she go for a fancy spa treatment and pawdicure?
A closer look for you.
So what's the problem, Mom? You keep saying I am a red and white sibe - I just found a natural way to keep my "True Colours".
Woos, Ciara
Hee hee hee!
ReplyDeleteB
I think it looks lovely with your red fur!
ReplyDeleteHolly

ReplyDeletePUPPY PAWS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Ciara, you are so sweet and innocent! I can't imagine you doing anything that would upset your Mom's fresh landscaping...

ReplyDeleteGood one Ciara!!
Cheers
Maxc
Amazing pawdicure, Ciara!
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Tommy
Oh Ciara - you're just demonstrating doga for Tucker's contest and you applied special make-up in order to make your paws more visible to the camera!! You are SO misunderstood...
ReplyDelete-Gizmo, Bart and Ruby
Aw Ciara - we have it on very good authority that red mulch is good for keeping paws soft and pretty, he he he!
ReplyDeleteSchnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
BOL!!! A new spa treatment!!! Red Mulch! LOVE it Ciara!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo Chloe and LadyBug
That's pretty funny! OuR mommy is amazed at how yours keeps that white carpet clean. It would look like a mess if we had it. We track in so much and then of course I do my trick with the water from my beard (Hootie doesn't drip all over like I do). You are to be commended!
ReplyDeleteSmooches,
BabyRD and Hootie
Ciara - that is so funny! Murray was laughing away here at your red paws!!
ReplyDeletetake care
Clive & Co
- how does your Mom keep her carpet clean??
You mum is brave to have that pale carpet...or maybe she has some great cleaning tips.
ReplyDeleteApart from the red paw thing - that mulch looks like a good idea for the humans who don't understand the concept of canine gardening.
You look beautiful as usual today
Love and licks, Winnie xx
Now how did you keep that off the carpet? We like your red paws Ciara.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
That's a fancy pawdicure you got there, Missy!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi

ReplyDeleteI wonder if they make purple mulch?
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Oh Ciara, you didn't dig in the mulch did you.
ReplyDeleteMom is wondering about your pretty white carpet!!!
ReplyDeleteRuh Roh - no more white carpet!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Secrets to white carpets would be much appreciated here. We think the mulch looks much like the red dye that Indian brides use on the palm of their hands. Is there a surprise wedding in the future?
ReplyDeletegussie
oh well done Ciara! I thinks it looks fabulous!!
ReplyDeletehahaha I wouldnt have ever thought aobut it getting on the dogs paws! thats hilarious.
ReplyDeletewe learned the same thing a couple of years ago - since then Mom only uses natural undyed mulch - but you look really cute with red feet
ReplyDeleteWell what did SHE expect. We know that worker GUYS never get the work done.. RIGHT. You just HAD to get that stuffs arranged Perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the color of your paws. Proof that you did your job!! I am SURE she is really proud of your work.

ReplyDelete*woof*
the booker man
I hear that is the style nowadays. Looks good!
ReplyDeleteShe can't help it if some of YOUR mulch got on her pretty white feet! That color does look nice on her, it matches her nose. You know they have to christen any new, uh, digging material, don't you? After all, we're all pretty sure that you put it there just for them to play in. Right? :O)
ReplyDeleteBWhahahahaha...ummmm, 'scuze me, I was not laughing! Sorry bit I is gonna has to haves ZCiara's back and say dat I sees nuutin on her feetsies...nuttin at alls!
ReplyDeletePuddles
That reminds Mom of the time Sniffie got into the fireplace! We're amazed that your carpet looks so good!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie
I am sure that what happened was that the sprinklers came on and were on for a little too long, so when a certain Siberian princess walked through the mulch, completely unaware, mind you, that new mulch stained her beautiful white feet! Yep! I'm sure that's what happened!
ReplyDeleteBunny
Ciara, you look lovely in red. It doesn't matter how it got there!
ReplyDeleteAgreed Stumpy! Ciara looks good in red. Maybe she was at the spa and asked for a color rinse. A girl needs a change sometimes... BOL
ReplyDeleteErnie,Sasha,Chica,Lucas
We often sport a similar look... from our "red clay" that passes as dirt around here.
ReplyDeletehi all of woo!
ReplyDeleteoh it looks liek you have been eating cheetos!

ReplyDeleteSam & June
Those are BIG RED FEET! BOL
ReplyDeletewoo woos, Tessa
Morgan, Fudge,Noah and Norma Jean complain that Mom washes their feet more than the black footed dogs. Doesn't she know they're just as dirty, it just doesn't show up. Life isn't fair!
ReplyDeleteMorgan, Tsar and the Porties
Uh oh, Ciara!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the garden spa worked well on your paws! You sure get into interesting adventure over there all the time.
Love,
Piappies Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Pai, Wai-Max & Forgie
That is not from digging. It is from inspection of the quality of mulch. Seems OK.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the new garden now has holes. MOL.. Love the picture evidence.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteYou better stay on your back so you don't get red feet prints all over, BOL
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
BOL - your momma is lucky that isn't all overs the carpet! Just wait until it rains....
ReplyDeletewoof - Tucker
Oh Ciara, Sweetie...we need to get you some socks to hide the evidence!
ReplyDeleteYour a cute little stinker for sure!
xoxo
That looks like it could be bad with that carpet!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
You're so silly Ciara! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Spring? It SNOWED here yesterday!

ReplyDeleteOh Ciara. You make Teddy so proud.

Wow, there's the proof of a job well done! Someone has to make sure there are no ground moles or chipmunks down in that mulch. I think you did a great job! Your peeps should be very happy...just remind them that they don't want critters tunnelling in the mulch!
ReplyDeleteGrr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
Kind of hard to protest your innocence, Little One! But your red "gloves" do look very ladylike. Can the carpet be saved? And the mulched areas?
ReplyDeleteRed slippers! So beautiful! Is the garden still beautiful, sweet Ciara?
ReplyDeleteI've missed you all.
Could you maybe send those worker over my way when they're done there? I could definitely use them in my yard.
ReplyDeleteI never cared much about the back yard and haven't taken care of it like I should because I don't do anything back there other than let the chi's do their business back there. Only now I have a neighbor whose backyard links to mine. I can see she's been doing a lot of work in her yard and it looks like she's got lots more plans, if all the wood and bricks and things are any indication. So now I feel like I need to do something with mine.
That red soil really does look nice with Ciara's coat.
Hehehe. You should see my yard! I don't have red bark, but my feet still tell on me every time. Darn feet, huh?
ReplyDeleteYou know, Ciara, the peoples at your house all laughingly call you the little canine gardener and thats fine. But give it a try, red up the feets a little and they get upset!
ReplyDeleteWhats the deal??
Kisses,
Stella
We have red clay here. Jan just hates red paws. :)
ReplyDeleteHaaa!
ReplyDeleteCiara! I guess there is no way you can say... "No... I didn't"!
