But in our home, all canine residents are considered siblings. So today we thought we would show you the interaction between another set of siblings.
Phantom has always tolerated Ciara, but he has always kept her at bay as far as closeness goes. You also know that Ciara is very strong-willed and likes to get her way. It has taken a while but as you can see below, she has succeeded in winning over Phantom.
Phantom: I am keeping my eye on you. You stay on your blanket and I will be right here on the floor.
Ciara: You can't fool me, Phantom, I can feel your toesies touching my toesies. And part of you is on my blanket.
Phantom: Stop looking at me, Pest. This one is MY blanket.
Ciara: Are you sure it is your blanket, Phantom? What is that saying about possession being 9/10ths of the law. Seems to me I am possessing a bit more of it than you. Does that mean you are trying to get closer to me?
Phantom: Half on, half off, just don't look at me.
Ciara: Don't worry, I still have my other brother:)
Ciara: So there, Phantom.

Tucker the Harlequin Great Dane from Maine is having a contest- Dogya!!! Here is Thunder's entry.
The Downward Facing Dog
Adhomukha Svanasana
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Awww, we knew Ciara would eventually win Phantom over! She is just too cute and cuddly to resist! Seeing is believing - and we saw those feety-feets touching!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your doga pose - woo show splendid form!
jack & moo
The Cyber-sibes took our comments....so what they said, from us, too.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Great Dogya entry!
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd win him over Ciara, just a few inches mroe and you'll be downright snuggling!
hehe!
~lickies, Ludo
Hi guys, we can see Ciara has lots of charm!
ReplyDeleteWe have to compromise in this house too - Bailey is not the cuddly snuggly type and likes her own space - she really is not into sharing!
Thanks for stopping by - we are missing all of our blogging buddies and trying to stop by now and again.
We may do the odd update in the future blogwise but for now are enjoying this 'no pressure' style of blogging!
Take care
xxx
I saw it coming, I did!! Ciara is too adorable for any pup to resist! Go ahead and deny it, Phantom, but you won't be able to fight her charm for long! Hehehe.
ReplyDeleteGreat dogya entry, Thunder! Very niceee.
Woofs,
Pepsi
Ben and Pip are half siblings as well, as they have the same mum - but the don't get on as well as Thunder and Ciara!
ReplyDeleteGirls SOOOOOO know how to woo and win the boyz!
ReplyDeleteAs fur TD's entry: INKHREDIBLE!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Yup, a respectful distance. That is how little Dex is with Mango. They like each other, but not total snuggle buddies.
ReplyDeleteMango Momma
Sis used to do that with Mugsy - our now-departed very alpha male Jack Russell. She'd somehow know whether it was a time to just strut her puppy self up and snuggle or whether she needed to ease into it, inch by inch...
ReplyDeleteDownward Facing dog is one of our favorites too. I also do a pretty good Three Legged Dog! And me and Teka share things, sometimes, but not without some nipped ears for me.
ReplyDeleteWe still don't know how that white carpet manages to look so good, but thank you for the tips.
kisses
gussie
(do you know how hoomiliated the muzzer is for missing the last post....hahah)
Ciara and Phantom seem to get along a bit like myself and "IT" to be tolerated - especially at a distance. But you guys still look so cute trying NOT to share the blanket.
ReplyDeleteAloof can be fun, too, Phantom - Queen Natasha.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet. Phantom is to cute. He sounds a lot like Starr. He will not admit he really likes the younger one in the house. :)
ReplyDeleteProgress. That's the main thing. To tell the truth, Franklin and I don't really snuggle either. We love each other, even though he is something of a pest sometimes, too, but we save our snuggles for the peoples. It's just the way we are. We to share licks sometimes, however.
ReplyDeleteI have learned this semester in Property that the law allows someone to claim ownership of something if they openly possess it and the true owner doesn't put a stop to it. It looks to me like Ciara is making a play at all the blankets in the house!
ReplyDeleteI try to make sure that I am always with Mom, preferably touching her, so that Steve can't make a claim of ownership over her.
Kat
FANGtastic Dawga pose. A Winner fur sure!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the Slow Sneaky approach too. Nice work on gettin up close and PAWsonal. hehehe
Ah...Very nice!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's my favourite Doga pose too Thunder!!
Cheers,
Maxx
Too cute! Sometimes with Sam and Monty we just accept that both in the same room is a bonding moment...

Ciara, you're just too cute to not have won Phantom over! All three of you are such sweet SIBElings!
ReplyDeleteCiara can win over anyone's heart! Love the compromise!
ReplyDeleteGreat dog-ya pose! Happy Saturday!
Good luck in the contest, Thunder.
ReplyDeleteCompromise is good, but they're wasting a lot of good blanket space. :)
I love their compromise! Great Dogya pose.
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Ciara is so cute! Good luck with your dogya pose!
ReplyDeleteThor and Jack
Here Tsar is the only one that gets to have his space. The others respect it or he makes cat noises and hisses at them. As for everyone else they use each other as pillows. It's like a puppy pile.
ReplyDeleteIt was a matter of time, right?
ReplyDeleteSure is pawesome to share the blankie!
Aaaaand pawesome doga position!
Happy Saturday!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Little sisters can be such pests but ya know what happens when somebody trys to hurt them. Big brothers watch out for them and I'm sure Phamtom loves Ciara.
ReplyDeleteLove the dogya pose!!
Weenie
Ciara you are making your way right into Phantom's heart! Clever moves, there darling.
ReplyDeleteOh brother, my mom is squealing again! Your downward doggie is perfect. My mom does some yoga, but your form is much better.
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Oh Ciara I dnew that you would eventually get under Phantom's skin!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!
I just love your Doga pose!
woo woos, Tessa
A long time ago, we had a pair of littermates who we adopted at the same time. It was uncanny how they mirrored each other, like Thunder and Ciara do. We've never had another pair of dogs who were such complete soulmates as those two were.
ReplyDeleteI love the series with Ciara and Phantom. I do think that Phantom is starting to like her, just a tiny bit!
We love watching another family going through this beautiful period of adjustment and acceptance! Give us hope and makes us smile at the persistence of love. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat so reminded us of Arty and Scylla when Arty first came to live here. And now it reminds of us Arty and .............Fenris. She is perfectly willing to lay next to him as long as he is STILL.
ReplyDeleteCiara knows that it's all about small victories. I love the touching toesies picture!
ReplyDeleteWe're all siblings here in the holler too! Have a great week.
Oh I likes that pose. I usually follow it up with a big toot!
ReplyDeletewoof - Tucker
I just LOVE these pics. So true of siblings with the ol' "here is the line", while the line is most assuradly wider on one side. Looks like Ms. Sassy is gaining momentum!
ReplyDeleteCoco (also the annoying younger sis)
Awwwww...I always knowed dat you luved each odder.....jus like I luv my brudder Max (DaOdderWeenie)....oops...did I jus say dat? Hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteYou show him, Ciara! You know us girls always win in the end! *wink*
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
