The Woos' Working Wednesday

Before we get started on our "work" this Wednesday, we finally got a good shot of our new neighbor pup. This is Layla, maybe a relative of Maggie Mae? She was a Christmas puppy is about six months old now.

She likes to sit and watch us and bark at us. We haven't had a chance to play with her yet because the gate to our compound is securely locked. But isn't she pretty?

Now on to our story for today . . .

As you can see, the no-sibe zone is now fully enclosed with that fancy schmancy fencing. The Momster is feeling pretty smug because we have so far respected the barricade.

So there has been no work in the garden this week, right, Ciara?

What do you think, TD? Should we let our readers see how hard we have been working this week - after all, we are a working breed?

Ummm, you might want to bigify this picture to see what has been going on in the underground level of the playset condo.

This side too, TD. We moved our work zone to the back corner of the yard where there are no Momster no-sibe zones. I have been doing my best to check up on those freeloading critters invading our space. I made the hole a little bigger so I won't miss them when they try to get out.

Yes, the silly bunnies have returned. We think Mom and Pop Rabbit have been working on something under there. We can smell them, but so far we haven't seen them. But we are hard workers and we won't give up.

Hi Mom. What was that? Oh, we are just being good sibes and relaxing here in a nice shady spot. (To be continued.)

Phantom decided to take a day off from any yard work. He has had a rough week and hasn't been feeling too perky. But he is doing a great job of resting and relaxing.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

Momster's Note: Looks like a second project is in order in addition to the painting of the swingset - time to figure out a way to create a new no-sibe zone.

  1. You mean you guys also have those furry creature invading your spaces? And you have to protect the fort?? We have been busy doing the same thing!! Maybe we need to get our paws together so we can outsmart these crazy varmits!!

    Hope Phantom is feeling better.

  5. TD is such a momma's boy! He's all "No Mom, I didn't dig ANYTHING, it was Ciara. She THOUGHT she heard bunnies under the swingset!!" And Ciara says, "Bunnies!! There's a WARREN down there and we gotta get them all!!" Both making a thoughtful effort to give Phantom some 'alone time.'

    Nice pack!!

  7. Shame all your hard work is not appreciated. Note to mom, no rabbits have gotten inside the estate, thanks to the fearless guard dogs. There, hope that helps.

  8. Ya know, maybe walking them six times a day isn't as bad as staying one step ahead of them in the garden.

  10. Those pesky rabbits have a nest with babies in it about 10 feet from our pen - when we go out there, they hop around and taunt us!! If Mom would only let us loose one time, we'd show those varmints!!

  13. Sorry to hear that Phantom has not felt like Working... butt EVERY job needs a SUPERVISOR. RIGHT???
Your mom has created No Sibe Zones??? I'm not sure that is a good thingy. Have you shown her how you can JUMP???? I'm just hintin'. hehehe

  14. I think the no-sibe zone for the flowers and shrubs are just fine, but don't you think they deserve something in the yard to call their own? Like the play equipment, for instance. Seems like a small trade-off for me.

    Kisses,
    Stella

Hugs for Phantom and good wishes for feeling better!

  36. We use to have ground squirrels under out patio in Nebraska - they would drive me crazy and I was always trying to dig them out. I did catch one once and bought it in for mom and laid the dead little critter at her feet. Maybe you try that with your Mom - hmmm then again maybe not - my mom wasn't very happy when she saw it for some reason.

  37. Layla is very cute !
I had a bunny brother for some time but I was too rough with him and so now he is at my human's sister's place where he is ALONE far away from the trouble I used to give him .... But that's OK I still get to see him sometimes !
    I love bunnies !!!!!

  40. We hope Phantom gets to feeling better!

The fence looks nice but we are trying to grasp the concept of a no-Sibe zone and can't quite understand what that means unless the momster plans on fencing off the entire backyard! :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh Lord...please don't tell us you have rabbits! Riley caught (and ate half of) a baby bunny when she was about 3 months old...I had only had her for about a month at that point. Still gives me shudders!

We hope you three Sibes are MUCH nicer to the furry little things in the yard than Riley was...!

I was wondering where Phantom was when I was reading this blog, but then you showed him resting at the end. We hope he feels back up to par soon!! :)

Also, your grass is SO green. I'm jealous.

  70. Wow, every dog's gotta dig! It's in the rule book isn't it?!? Sometimes peeps just forget this. The fence is an agility thing isn't it?!? I think this is all just to challenge and amuse you. Go to it!!
