Dad says my name is Lightning since I am Thunder's creation:) Mom likes Flash better, but it is Dad's choice. There have been lots of names tossed around - Skyler, Shiloh, Ryan, Berrin, Bannon, and Fergus (the last three courtesy of Stella's Mom). Up until Saturday I was going to be Shiloh, but today it is Lightning. Personally I like Bolt.
So I really like it here, lots of really cool toys to play with and three big pups. Ciara is lots of fun until I pull her tail, she doesn't like that even though she does it to Thunder. Phantom seems to want to play with me, but Mom says he only wants to play when he wants to play, and not when I do. Thunder isn't sure about me yet. He has been very nice to me, but for the most part, he is not paying any attention to me. Mom says it will just take time.
Oh, I am supposed to tell you a little about me. I come from the same line of pups as Thunder and Ciara Huricane Sibes. My mother was a pup from one of Mel's litters. And Mel is Thunder and Ciara's father. So I guess that makes Mel my grandfather, and Ciara and Thunder must be my aunt and uncle. All in the family.
I was born May 4th, so I guess I am almost 14 weeks old. Everyone tells me that I look like a mini-Dakota, but I don't know who Dakota is and I guess she was pretty special. And my first human Mom, the Momster here, and Ruby and Penny (Mayor Frankie Furter's wives) think I look a lot like Thunder did as a puppy. Mom says she thinks I am going to be a big boy like Thunder. Oh, and I have one blue eye and one brown eye. And one ear that seems to want to curl backwards a lot.
Today I got to go on my first walk and since Dad was home too, all four of us went together. Mom said it could only be a very short walk because I am still so young. But it was a lot of fun and Dad said I did a good job.

Lightening, we like your new name! It was fun seeing you on your walk and also playing with your furblings! Was that Phanthom crying when you were playing with Thunder and Ciara? He sure seems to like you! Thunder will come around. He's probably thinking "oh no, not another puppy! The other one is still velcro!". BOL!

Stella's Mom thinks it would be nice to tell the readers WHY she suggested Berrin, Bannon or Fergus for this pup's name.
ReplyDeleteShe was told at the time that this boy needed an IRISH name. So she went to some trouble to find an IRISH name on the 'net.
If she had known he needed a
meteorlogical name, she might have come up with one or two of those too.
I'm glad he is here, and having fun, but I like BOLT too, like DK does.

P.S. My the Mom's first Golden was Comet. And she always dreamed of having Donder and Blitzen... These names mean Thunder and Lightning... Of course, out of reverence for the Luke, we will never use those names... but we think they're awesome!

The way Thunder acted towards Lightening is how I expected that Phantom was be towards him. Don't know why I thought that since I've never actually met your dogs and don't know their personalities, as much as I like to think I might. I'm sure Thunder will warm up in time.
