Mom calls this cheap entertainment.
BUT Layla, our boxer neighbor, is NOT supposed to be at our fence. There are about 15 feet between her property line and ours. She is on invisible fence, OR is she? She has her collar on, but for the past three days she has been keeping us company. So either a broken wire or a dead battery. We do like Layla, but Mom says this is one of the reasons she doesn't like invisible fences. No one is paying any attention to Layla and she could wander off and get lost or hit by a car.
Meanwhile, what is going on inside?
A rare moment to see Phantom actually eating his kibble! |
Time to relax! |
I sure hope that boxer tires the pest out! Hope you all have a great weekend! |
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Hopefully Layla's parents fix the broken fence or better still that they get a real fence!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Lightning was having fun. Glad to see Phantom eating. It is better to do it when it is peaceful inside and all the ruckus is going on outside.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Lightning was having a great time, that's for sure! I have a Layla behind me too (not a boxer, though). Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteStewey
That Boxer reminds me of a boxer at Bert's place- always running the fence and barking at everything.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
we is hoping Miss Layla's pawrents wake up and check the battery.
ReplyDeletegussie
ps...I like to eat when it is quiet too. That is why we feed Teka Toy in the baffroom.
gman
Uh oh, hope someone checks the battery next door! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI hope they fix the fence before she gets hurt. Glad Phantom ate his food and love his expression in the last picture.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteI soooo knows what ya'll is goin' throughs but just be glad it ain't in your yard likes da Stoopid's dogs.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't hoomans follow da rules?
I could sit heres and watch Phantom eat alllllll day!

GMTA fur Mom was thinking 'boy, he should sleep tonight' when I read her the khaption ;-)
ReplyDeleteMom and I are both ready fur a nap after THAT workout!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Happy Paws to you today! I also agree with invisible fences and bark collars-if the owners aren't responsible enough to check on a dog that is barking, they need to figure out why the device isn't working. We have a German Shepherd who lives behind us, usually has a bark collar on but then his owners don't stop his constant barking-hum! When we get our new furbaby, he won't be allowed to be near the fence where the other dog is.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Hugs, Noreen
Our Mom agrees. She says other aggressive dogs could come into out=r yard if we had one of those no see fences. She also said Porties usually will take the shock to get where ever it is they want to go, so we can't be trusted without a high fence.
ReplyDeleteMorgan and the Porties
Mommy doesn't like those invisible thingys either. My pal Maverick has one and he gets out a lot. We find him in our yard and he is so happy to be free, but it scares Mommy. I love seeing Phantom eating and I know the rest just wanted to play with the doggy pal. What a fun game of chase , they just kept going and going and...
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Lightning is going to be dreaming of running back and forth and back and forth! Layla is going to too! We hope Layla's parents get her a real fence so she doesn't get hurt although Lightning is a really good dog sitter for her. We're very happy to see Phantom eating!
ReplyDeleteWe love running up and down fence lines with other dogs. Looks like Lightning really enjoys it, too.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
I feel bad for Layla!
ReplyDeleteDachshund Nola
That's a whole lot of exercise you're all getting there! I do hope someone was looking out for Layla since the electric fence wasn't working!
ReplyDeletePoor pup needs some supervision! Although Mr. Lightning seemed to be having a high old time.
ReplyDeleteCheers and hugs,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat
Arrgh we're getting an error message. Will try again later.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about that kitty, Woos, we live in tropical Malaysia so it's warm 24/7/365 and we will feed him twice a day. I saw him this morning and he HISSED at me :-)
So sad about Layla, but what a great workout for the pups. Lightning was sure into it!!
ReplyDeleteYour rightr- no one is paying attention to Layla, and she could get hurt. I hope the owners discover there is a problem before she gets hutt.
ReplyDeleteEveryone sure got some exercise!
I am happy Phantom is eating some nummys- it must have tasted extra good tonight.
love

Love the video! So much fun at the fence! Phantom...you look so handsome as always!
ReplyDeleteOh No! Sumbody should be keepin an eye on Layla. (her hoomans!) It is entertainment fur a while, though. Bet ya'll needed a drink and a nap after that!
ReplyDeleteLayla's a beaut!
ReplyDeleteWe do agree though about the fence..
Ahh..Phantom! Always the sensible and so serene one!
Have a great weekend!
Cheers,
Maxx
Howdy Woos, hope they fix up the invisible fence soon. The boxer looks like a friendly fella. Phantom looks like he is enjoying the peace inside. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteI sure hope Layla's hoomans know where she is!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch
Arg! Totally not a fan of those invisible fences. Even when the collar is working it is frequently not sufficient to deter a determined pup. Then he or she can't get back in to their yard.
ReplyDeleteMango Momma
Hahah, i love the video :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend, dear friends.
Woof, woof,
Chicco
Hope Layla's pawrents fix their fence soon and paws crossed that Layla won't go too far away from her home. That's really dangerous!
ReplyDeleteLayla...is a very pretty name.
ReplyDeleteWe hope and purr her peeps get her collar battery fixed so she stays safe.
You all are having a fine time though.
Phantom was glad to have the young'uns being entertained while he
nibbled his kibble.
Hugs from your BFFF,
Madi
Lovely videos and funny clips and the character Layla is a pretty name with fantastic act.

I hope Layla stays safe, but it does look like a fun game of chase! I bet those pooches were tired after all that running back and forth!
ReplyDelete:)
Lu
I wrote about those invisible fences and they just aren't reliable. I hope that Layla stays safe but for now everyone is getting some play time in.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like you had great fun! But I'm already worrying about Layla.
ReplyDeleteMommy doesn't like invisible fences either. She says even when they work like they are suppose to and keep the dog inside they do not keep other things OUT. which can be just as important. We have our paws crossed Layla is safe.
ReplyDeleteWe has a doggie visitor today named Chloe. Fen is jealous cause Eldest Boy Bean let her in his room on HIS BED.
We have a VERY MEAN dog with an invisible fence on one of our walks. He jumped his chain link fence and gave Mrs. Master a heart attack one day but then stopped at one point in their yard. (It had happened before with me and Master but I didn't tell Mrs. Master that he would stop and she was VERY scared).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, people need to be more responsible!
xoxo,
Nora
I'm glad that your dogs and Layla get along... and it's all in good fun, possibly wearing out the pest. Funny, Ciara used to be the "pest" and now I think that Lightning has taken up that role!
ReplyDeleteMy brother has a fence just like yours, and K got her nose bit by a dog on the other side of the fence. The dog bit right through K's nose, leaving a tooth-sized hole!
My mom person doesn't trust those invisible fences either. Too scary.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Thunder is eating.
Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Mom says there's no way we'll ever have an electronic fence! When we finally get a fence, it will be to keep the neighbor kids out of our yard as much as it is for us to enjoy our yard.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you guys get along with Layla, though! I hope she did wear the pest out, but I doubt it!
Bunny
We like to run up and down the fence to!
ReplyDeleteGood boy Phantom, eating all your kibble. :)
Oh dear...we do hope Layla's owners reralise their invisible fence isn't working properly!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have a conversation with you over a fence too! :-)
SLobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
I wish OUR fence was see-through like yours! It's too bad that Layla's mommy and daddy don't know that she's out playing with friends -- I hope they realize sooner than later.
ReplyDeleteWoofs & hugs, <3
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
Oh dear. Boxers do NOT do well with invisible fences. I hope Layla's parents pay better attention to her.
ReplyDeleteHa! That was a lot of fun cheap entertainment :D Great video! :D Mom's not too wild about invisible fences either. One cause it's shock based and two cause they can fail :( You all have a beautiful fence! :D
ReplyDeleteWaggin at ya,
Roo
