Monday Mischief with ME again????
Why am I always the one who gets called "mischievous"? Well, check this out and see what you think.
The following photos were not staged in any way. This REALLY happened.
Last week Mom was upstairs putting away laundry while the twin grandbipeds were enjoying cupcakes. The girl twin C only eats the frosting on her cupcake, silly girl.
When Mom came downstairs, this is what she saw.
Yep, I spotted the remaining cake and had my eye on the goodie.
With the way I am always portrayed here as the bad boy, I bet you are thinking I dove right in for the prize.
You might be surprised to know that I just sat there like I do for my dinner and waited for Mom to give me the "OK" release.
Anytime now would be good, Mom. I have been sitting and waiting for a long time while you put away all that laundry.
Now??? C'mon, Mom - I have been so good.
Wait, where are you going? The dishwasher can wait to be emptied. I need to fill my belly.
Maybe if I just close my eyes and make a wish, I will taste that yummy goodness.
Well, it took a while. but I did finally get a taste - AND I had to share with my siblings. But we all ate it so fast, Mom didn't get a pic - serves her right for making me wait so long.
Woos, Lightning
That doesn't look like mischief at all! I'm so impressed with how well you waited. I would've sneaked at least a little taste first.
ReplyDeleteLightning - I am super impressed with your self-restraint!!! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteStewey
Would you believe my sissy only likes the cake not the frosting! I am very impressed with your patience. I would have grabbed that cupcake (if it was in my reach).
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Well deserved bit of cake for being so patient. Have a happy Monday Woos.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
wow! i was gonna be really bummin' if you didn't get that taste as a reward for not snagging it w/o politely waiting! Way to go mumster for rewarding good behavior! at least woo got a quarter... better than nothin!
ReplyDeletenow... why do they call you a pest or mischievious? i can't imagine why!
Very impressive, very impressive indeed. I would have been sitting in a pool of my own drool if I had to wait that long.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
I don't see any mischief going on there. You did a great job guarding that cupcake from all your siblings and making sure everyone got their fair share.
ReplyDeleteCindy
I would have inhaled the cupcake right on the spot. Like the poster says "Life is short, eat dessert first!"
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Stella

Hi Lightning, I am so impressed by your stay/wait. What a good pup you are! Your mom must have spent hours on your training; I really need to start working with Hunter. I would love him to be as well trained as you.
ReplyDeleteGlad you did get to enjoy at least part of the cupcake.
Wags, Noreen
I wouldn't have been able to wait if I saw a piece of cake around! You definitely deserved a big piece!
ReplyDeleteLightning! You are such a good boy!!! So glad ya'll all got a bite!
ReplyDeleteTell the girly to break the bottom half of the cupcake off and put it on top of the icing... evens things out! But WAIT! If she did that, there wouldn't be any for YOU! Never mind...
Lightning! What a good, good boy!! We never, ever would have been so good!!
ReplyDelete-Bart and Ruby
You showed her, Lightning!
ReplyDeleteNola
Oh Lightning, those pictures of you sitting there looking at that cupcake is sooooo cute. We think you are a very very good boy to not take the cupcake. Great pictures. Try to stay cool.

OMD! You are such a good pup. I, too, have the sit and wait for my dinner, but man, I don't know if sniffin' that yummy cupcake goodness, if I could have waited! What a good boy you are.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby
You actually waited? Whoa Lightning! You are a very good boy! Nobuddy here would have waited but then again, frosting is our favorite part so we would have had to beat the bean to that part!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Angel & Isabella
You are such a good dog. How could your Mom possibly put this in a mischief post? You behaved like an angel
ReplyDeleteNow that showed a lot of self control Lightning! I am very impressed!!
ReplyDeleteGracie only likes to eat the frosting on the cupcakes too!

Puddles
Wow, you are so good to wait patiently for that piece of cake. I know I couldn't do it. I can't even wait for it to go in the oven to be baked before I try to get some. You deserve a big treat for being so good :)xx
ReplyDeleteLightning, I don't think we can call you mischievous ANYMORE! What a GOOD boy you were not to snarf down that cupcake before Mom said it was ok, and how nice of you to share with your siblings!
ReplyDeleteHiya Lightening! I just hopped over from Khyra's Khorner...I am so impressed with how much restraint you showed. And you did it while looking so handsome! What a guy! Mom and Dad used to have 3 Sibes many years before they got me...Mischa, Crusty and Rose. They are on my bloggy page called AniFamily Remembering, they were really pretty and oh so fun! Mom trained and showed them and Mischa was an obediance champ!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good boy! We just kind of help ourselves around this place even though we are supposed to wait.
ReplyDeleteBoy, you were good, Lightning. Was it because you were being watched?
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
What a good boy!
ReplyDeleteYou are the best boy, Lightning, and you should have gotten to eat the entire cupcake all by yourself for being so good!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
My boys have absolutely NO self control when it comes to food! I'm thinking I need to send them to your house for a bit of (ok, a LOT) training. bol
ReplyDeleteWhat a GOOD boy you are! This post should have read, "Good Manners Monday"!
ReplyDeleteLightning!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you did not get it!
I know I am not able to resist a treat so very close to me!
Good boy!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza

I can't believe you waited so long Lightning!! Food on any tables doesn't stand a chance around here. We are always testing and keeping the humans on their toes. Hee Hee!!
