You might be wondering why we are woeful these days! We will explain.
Remember this playset that the little grandbipeds used to enjoy so much?
Well, look now!!!
Mom sold it! Since the twins and big sister are now in school all day and here less often, she decided that it made more sense to sell it now while it was in great shape rather than let it deteriorate and become unsellable. Another family is now very happy to be swinging and sliding away.
Now some of you might be thinking we would be very happy to have this added open space to run zoomies around. BUT that would not be the case right now.
Look what SHE did next!!! We have been imprisoned in this little small area so that, can you believe this, the new GRASS will have a chance to grow.
She put up another no-Sibe fence. Look at all that green space there - do you think that is OUR space???
And don't miss all that brown spot in the yard way behind us. It has been that way for over three years and they don't seem to care. Their property begins where our green grass ends. Why can't our yard have some brown too?
NO, this is our part over here. It is sort of hard to see how this maze works, but basically we have about 25% of the yard for US.
See where the new fence sort of cuts to the right in the back there? It used to go straight back. That's where Mom had to re-route her barricade to the right a bit after SomePup started digging at the new fence line. Of course, she didn't even appreciate that he was digging to show her that there was a whole bunch of grubs there. So she moved the fence to the right so she could seed that dug up spot.
Here you can see a little better view of OUR part way off in the back and right of this pic. Pretty measly, don't you think?
And that part around the patio is a little section that is completely blocked off from us, because that is where we like to help water the lawn as soon as we get outside.
We get this little narrow pathway to get out to our little play yard. Can you believe she has the nerve to tell us that next spring she is going to block off this side of the yard to renovate it????? Yep, this no-Sibe fence is staying up until next April (or so she thinks:)
Will you join us in our sit-in of protest?
Guess this lends new meaning to the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence:)
Guess this lends new meaning to the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence:)
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning (even though Phantom doesn't really care about the big yard, he just likes one particular spot next to the patio.)
Note from Mom: The grass is growing but we have been told it needs until next spring if it will have any chance of surviving the paws of the pack. There are several other areas that had to be reseeded too. I really am trying to make it up to the pups by getting in lots of extra walks.
Um, guys, for a bit of perspective, we live in an urban townhouse and our "yard" is about 16 feet x 18 feet.
ReplyDeleteSure, we're cats, but we zoom around too! We'd LOVE to have the space you guys have, we think it's amazing!
And our mom says what a gorgeous, gorgeous property!
P.S. Why don't any of you just jump over the fence? It doesn't look that high. If you don't know how to do it, Nicki will pop over and teach you! ;-D
Oh You guys, My Vickie tried that a few years ago but the second the fence caem down we messed up her pretty new yard. She gave up and we have fake grass now.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, that is a long time to wait to be able to play, but it will be worth it. Grass is so much cooler than fake football field greass.

He he he, good luck Sibe peeps. Our Mom and Dad did the same thing a couple years ago, but Miss Bailey Wonder Dog somehow got over or under that fence every time we went outside. Then she'd pretend she couldn't get back and they'd have to move the fence to rescue her. They never did discover how she got in the forbidden part, but she showed us and then several of us started getting past the barricade. The peeps finally gave up. Who needs grass anyway?
ReplyDeleteMorgan, Sebastian and the Porties
All you guys can come over to my house. I have a half acer of wonderful yard that we all could play in. And tons of toys and all the sticks you want.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Well, that is soooo unfair..Jump the fence..dig under it..We did like the the kids play thing..That was great :)( Pee-ess we'z understand Mom..but don't tell the pack we'z on your side ) ! :) xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
We bet the four of you can do a number on that fence! :) Hope it comes down when there's snow on the ground so you can run all over in the fun white stuff!
ReplyDeleteAww, we're sorry guys! I think your mom is taking you on some extra walks, though, right?
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Got it. I knew there's a good reason for it. Don't you worry. Happy Wednesday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteI will join you. There is unity among us. This is a complete injustice!
ReplyDeleteWe've given up on a nice back yard. We've got one straggly rose bush left and a tumbleweed...
ReplyDeleteSam
Well, you guys know you can JUMP THAT FENCE! It took me a year to figure out the one around the garden (that looks just like that).
ReplyDeleteGrass is SO OVERRATED! SO SO SO SO much. Mud is cool. Tell your mom that all the cool dogs just have mud in their yard.
Nora
OK, CALL SARGE, this is just terrible doggie treatment, we are staging a sit in here in support, we are demnding action!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Support Pals

You guys can all come over to my house to play. I have one acre of fenced in play ground here. We would have so much fun.
ReplyDeleteMillie
"SomePup"?????? NO! Couldn't be MY soul-mate!!!! NEVERS! (it was, wasn't it....hehehe!)
ReplyDeleteOh, man, I'll be right over to join the protest! Run Free, Woos, Run Free!
Kisses,
Ruby
We just took our swing set down last week! It was falling apart and just not safe anymore so in the garbage it went! The dogs are so happy to have the extra room!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the grass! I know all to well how difficult that is!
It sounds like your Mom should go for it and make it an official maze!
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Tommy
Jump the fence!! Bol
ReplyDeleteWe are so there with you Woo pals. We are joining in your sit-in protest. Free The Green we say. Mum relent or we will fuzzbark a trash the green pawty and all us doglets will turn up and cause mayhem. Have a wonderful woeful Wednesday pals.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We are on your side! We have a garden that is the size of a postage stamp, it is not fair at all.
ReplyDeleteAt least you will have a nice big garden when your grass grows, cross paws it grows quick!
Dip Bridge and Elliot x
Oh goodness, that is too bad your yard has sorta been taken away but just think how much fun it will be to run in when you are back to your big yard.
ReplyDeleteLightning, Two Two would love for you to come over and help chew the box up. It is almost totally gone so you could finish it off. Have a great day.
We will join your sit in - what is the point of a BIG yard if you can only use a bit of it - and who needs lots of grass anyway - it is just more to mow :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteWoo have been wobbed - we mean robbed!!
ReplyDelete-Bart and Ruby
The Corbin part of my brain says HOW IN THE WORLD! But the momma side of the brain says, well, you've gotta give up a little to get something much better in the end! BOL! Munch on that a bit and let me know if it stings any less ;-)
ReplyDelete-Corbin
Awwwwwww, you just gotta be patient. Just think how lovely and lush it is going to be by Spring time. It will feel so lovely and tickly on your pawsies :)xx
ReplyDeleteIn Solidarity with the Siberian Sufferings
ReplyDeletegussies and Teka
We are with you. This is a travesty--although extra walks have to be good.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
We'll join your sit-in. Can we lay-in, though? We're really lazy like that. Happy Wednesday, furriends. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWOW that looks really nice and your grass is growing too. May I come over to play in your new playspace
ReplyDeleteHugs Madi your BFFF
Since I've only gotten a fence about 4 months ago, I'm not joining the sit in!
ReplyDeleteNola
THE VERY NERVE of HER... after ALL that YOU DO FUR Her. THIS is just horrid..
ReplyDeleteErnie and I are lending OUR BACKSIDES to Your SIT IN!!!
Solid DAIRY AIRY is what Blogville is all about. She will see the light... SOON. Once she sees all the support you are getting.
The Horror, that is worse than my haunted front yard!! My poor Woos, I will join you in your sit in. I am on my way and Mommy will send treats. Can you get some water ready, I might be thirsty after the long trip. See you soon. I am kind of like Phantom, so if its ok, I will sit inside with him.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Doesn't your Mom ever ASK you what you WANT??? I mean it is your yard, right, so the playard coming down was fine, but all that fence stuff. Thats just plain silly. Just probably have Phantom tell her to lose all that fence stuff and just leave your yard alone. He is the senior of the pack, isn't he? Have him take care of it. I'm sure on your side. I have a puny little yard but my Mom doesn't come in tearing things up. Whats mine is mine and whats yours is yours!
ReplyDeleteTogether,
Stella
Oh my woofie friends I will join you in your sit in for sure. Mum says your mum will be super fit with all the extra walks she is getting.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteI pawsonally do not care wot your momster says (excuses, excuses, excuses...) but I do beleef PETA has laws against this. I think it be unner "cruel and usual" punishment hasing to LOOK at 75% if YOUR yard without being able to put your paws on it. Shameful.
ReplyDeleteOh my...the HORROR!!! I am sure that the winter will zoomie by and you will be running around there in no time!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory
Oh da nerve of hers. What ever is she thinking???? Quick...go poop in her shoes!
ReplyDeleteMore walks beat yard space hands down! (at least for the White Dog Army). But we do have to admit that it is a crazy zigzag you must wind through...and the concept of a grass lawn covering the yard is pretty foreign here in ABQ's desert.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with some other readers who say that more walks absolutely makes up for less yard space.
ReplyDeleteYet, we can see why you'd be upset. What would you like us to do? We can come and sit-in with you. Would you like that! I bet that if all the blogville dogs showed up, we could take down those fences!!!!
PS Good luck with the grass, Mom.
As you know... there is no yard here in my house but sure yours look very complicated right now!
ReplyDeleteHmmm....
Thankfully you are enjoying nice walkies!
Take care
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
I hope lots of doggys do a sit in!

*gasp* That is an outrage! I can't believe you're being treated like that in YOUR OWN YARD! We'll protest along with you!

ReplyDeleteBunny
what is momma up to!! She is outta control
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
The grass is greener on the other side! Do you want me to come over and help dig you a tunnel, so you can go see? I'll bring Stanzie, she is a super digger!
ReplyDeleteWyatt
WHAT! That sounds like discrimination! I'll join ya!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Woos, totally unfair mates. We reckon there is nothing wrong with a few, well quite a few actually, brown spots in a backyard. Just makes it more interesting we tell our mum. Hope you get your space back Woos. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteThe four of you need to pretend you're football lineman. Charge that fence and body slam it! Ready, set, go!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Wish i have a yard or garden to run around in!
ReplyDeleteBut i understand what woo mean, seeing from your pawspective. ;-)
Good thing is you're getting extra walks! ;-))
Cheers,

PROTEST! Make your point! I am certain you will get your way....
ReplyDeleteThis is an OUTRAGE!! I am totally joining in on your sit in. No more anti-Sibe fences! Yards for all!
ReplyDeleteBut, um, guys, I think you could totally jump that fence. Do you need some lessons? I know some boxers that can jump 8ft wooden fences, and they'd be happy to share some pointers.
We are with you, guys. That´s not fair!
ReplyDeleteThor and Jack
Oh no! Who cares about grass?!
ReplyDeletehey Woos,
ReplyDeleteO.K., my head is going to explode from that confusing description and photo essay of your mazed yard. I don't understand. Dogs rule. You are leaders of your Pack. The yard is yours by default - all the yard! I stand with your protest. Who needs grass? A dog in a yard is so much more important than grass. Fences down! Yard freedom!
Suka
The more I look at it, the more I am seeing a maze...Let me see...grass versus Woos...by the way, we don't have a backyard.how long will the sit in protest take?
ReplyDeleteHuggies and Cheese,
Haopee
She is NOT NICE!

Poor puppies! That is one heck of a maze that the Momster set up there! Hopefully you all know how to get around out there...we would be completely lost! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!
Elyse and Riley
Guys, your garden is HUGE!!! ..but we do think you should jump the fence in protest ;)
ReplyDeleteSlobbers
Well, it's good that a new family is swinging and sliding, but we understand your sadness. Mom said that her mom, our grandma, said that our grandpa is going to take down mom's treehouse because the wood is rotten and they don't want our cousin to get any ideas once she gets bigger. It makes our mom kind of have woes too.
ReplyDeleteKat
This seems wrong on so many levels! I'm with you on your sit-in!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Oh no, it's so unfair!
ReplyDeleteUnity is strength! I hope some part of the fences are already down. Good luck!
~Eva
SERIOUSLY!!! IS THERE ANYWHERE ON EARTH..ANYWHERE...THAT IS MARKED AS "NO SIBE"???...come on, even I, a cat, know that Sibes RULE!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMommy said you could come visit me. I have a huge fenced in backyard for you to play in. ~Fenris
ReplyDeleteMy the Mom says whee are yard challenged here... wif the prior harsh winters followed by eckstream drought... our yard looks terrible, and whee are drooling ober yeurs!
ReplyDeletewif lubbs from Little Reufus
I don't have much grass to play in either, guys, so I'll join you. But I know what you mean...I'd be itchin' to get on that new stuff too!
