Lightning reporting here today.
It was a beautiful day here in OP.
Thunder and I headed out to take Mom for a nice long walk.
But WAIT!
STOP, Thunder, we can't go this way.
Thunder: Why not, Lightning? We always go this way.
Lightning: Look ahead, don't you see what is ahead - there is some new monster up there!!!
Thunder: You mean this stuff????
Thunder: There are no monsters here, but maybe some good sniffs.
Yikes, I just can't bear to look.
Thunder: Hey, Lightning, come check out this smell - I think some critter was here recently.
NO WAY. My feet are firmly planted right here. I am not getting anywhere near those orange monsters.
Are you crazy?
C'mon, TD. Let's get going before those monsters get us.
And by the way, Mom, you need to find another way home. I am NOT going back that way.
Woos - Lightning and Thunder
Momster here: Sigh, what am I going to do with this silly boy?
Oh Lightning, you goofy guy, you're missing out on new smells and maybe some great adventures. Trust your Mom and Thunder, they'll watch your back. You may want to be more careful with Ciara though, she might play a prank on you.
ReplyDeleteMorgan, Sebastian, the Porties, Syd and Mac
Wow, Lightning, I don't blame you! Those things look pretty skeery. But some things just LOOK skeery and aren't so bad if you give them a chance. You can follow TD's lead on that. He wouldn't steer you wrong!
ReplyDeleteI think maybe the monster that lives in our road drain got out and came to your neighborhood! He is big and bad and scary and I also WILL NOT walk by him. It's too bad there's only one way in and out of our cul-de-sac.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry pal, I'm with you.
Nora
Lightening and Denny have A LOT in common :)
ReplyDeleteSilly Lightening...at least you had Thunder there to show you it wasn't that scary.
ReplyDeleteMillie
OOOHHHH...skeery!! We don't blame you for staying away!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
MOL! Prancer Pie and Princeton are the same way. One doesn't scare and the other is scared of everything (Princeton). Have a great day, furriends.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that nice weather, you know it will change soon! XOXO
Hmmmm...some buddy doesn't like orange cones!
ReplyDelete:)
Hi, Better to have him wanting to head the opposite way than to have him charging to fight. Looks like you've got wonderful weather.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen & Hunter
BOL! When our home management company put stakes in the ground so the snow plows wouldn't hit the curbs, Finn was so afraid of them! Tis reminds of that so much!
ReplyDeleteOh dude, just another way we are like bruthers from another muther!! I don't like 'changes' on my routine walkies either! Ya just never know, ya know?! BOL
ReplyDeleteThou, i usually just start barkin', and if it doesn't move, I know it's probally safe...try it out next time!
Your black and tan twin,
Ruby
Lightning, we like that you are a sensitive boy and well aware of monsters in your neighborhood! You're so sweet!
ReplyDeleteLightning! You're a goofball!! Relax. TD knows what he's talking about!!
ReplyDelete-Bart
BOL poor guy!
ReplyDeleteNola
Sometimes Mom we just out thing a situation!
ReplyDeleteyour Pals
Susie & Bites
Lightning, I think Thunder was trying to teach you something. Listen to your elders...sometimes they know what's right and what's not. That's what my Toby taught me!
ReplyDeleteLightning, I think Thunder was trying to teach you something. Listen to your elders...sometimes they know what's right and what's not. That's what my Toby taught me!
ReplyDeleteOh how funny!!! I've met dogs like that but I've never had one!
ReplyDeleteHuh??
ReplyDeleteI guess this is the first time I see something scares you, Lightning!
I hope you will feel confident going close to those thing to investigate them!
Take care
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
I am afraid of monsters too!
ReplyDeletelove
tweedles
Lightning and Stumpy both have funny ideas about monsters
ReplyDeleteIf only Lightning were Pip's size, you could just pick him up and carry him home ...I've had to do this many times when we encounter "monsters" on our walks.
ReplyDeleteBOL! Kuster isn't afraid of anything -- except the vacuum when it's quiet! If it's running, there's nothing to fear, but when it's quiet, it's untrustworthy! So, don't sweat it, Lightning!
ReplyDeleteBunny
You guys get sooo goofy over ordinary things! TD knows what he is talking about so just do what he says.
ReplyDeleteStella sees a cardboard box between our fences and the wind blows it a little. She has to warn it not to come any futher or she will get the garbage guys to pick it up!
Jo
Don't worry, Lightning! You are always safe whenever TD is with you.
ReplyDelete~Eva
Pssss: There is something wrong with my Blogger as I don't see your new post out and now I just found out that I've missed so many of your posts. Got to read them right after this.
How terrifying! Those new monsters are scary
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Bawhahhahha! You can never be to careful. I sure hope you found another way home.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
It's always good to vary your route. Well done, Lightning.
ReplyDeleteLightning, I do understand how you feel. I don't like change either, but I bet Thunder would protect you no matter what. Still, it is always better to be safe.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
This is so funny because Chloevwould have totally reacted like Lightning...and LadyBug would have just plowed right through!
ReplyDeleteMy Lightening we feel for you. I don't like balloons or anything that flaps in the wind. Some things are just scary? Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
That should not have been there on your walk. You are right not to go up to dangerous things. We do that and we've always been safe! Caution is good.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Aw Lightning, we do the same thing but mum MAKES us walk by and she touches the monsters and sings a happy la la song (so embarrassing for us!) and then we realise the monster isn't a monster at all. It always pays to be careful though doesn't it. Lucky our mums are so brave isn't it hehehe. Take care mates. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteOrange cones aren't so bad. Don't be afraid, Lightning.
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Dear Lightning,
ReplyDeleteyou are right! I can feel with you! You never know! Better to be carefully once more than to risk your life with strange stuff lying in ambush for you! And Thunder, you are a real hero!
Nice regards
Arno
Neeeeeeighs, Lightning! We are writing the comment because we are convinced that you are part horse. That is how a lot of horses would behave on seeing such a thing. We of course are different because we are fearless steeds!
ReplyDeleteNow be brave, White Lightning!!!
Neighs,
Vidock and Violette
Don't worry, Lightning, Riley would be skeered too!! Thanks for the birthday wishes for Riley yesterday! :)
ReplyDeleteElyse and Riley (the 4 year old)
Lightning you are right to be afraid of that big orange hat, I hear that Gnomes hide under there!! Mum says that they dont eat doggies though they eat CARS!!!
ReplyDeleteThunder you sure are very brave sniffing there! Lover, Licks and Hugs from your Furiend Frank xxxxxx
You're right - that's a bad, bad monster ... you should deploy your yellow water gun to beat this orange guy!!! Your first picture reminds me about an event as my dad tried to invent "huskie-operated" in-line skates... the result was a disaster, but after 3 weeks he was like new :o)
ReplyDeleteOh Lightning, you are so silly. But we can't say that we blame you one bit. That was pretty scary stuff. But we did get a good chuckle. Hope all of you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteLightning - just look at it this way... those cones are MUCH better than the cones of shame :)
ReplyDeleteRight?!?
Stewey
pee ess... mom calls me a "silly boy" too ;)
I'm with TD on this one. Now if it was a digger or a cement mixer then I'd be heading in the other direction, those ARE scary!
ReplyDeleteWe know just how you feel. Everyday we go to the park and there are cones there warning people about the flooding. Everyday we bark at them but the next day they are still there and we have to bark at them again - Mum says we are idiots, pfft.
ReplyDeleteDip Bridge and Elliot x
BOL, don't worry, I hate those Monsters too...Have a wonderful Tuesday xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
MOL MOL MOL
ReplyDeleteAll you were trying to do was protect Mom!! I know you two are the bravest of brave.
hugs madi your BFFF
Lightning,
ReplyDeleteDose orange things wont hurt you, but we is not so sure 'bout dat big wired, wheel thingy! ;)
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae and Max
Oh Piper does the same thing...garbage cans especially! Hehe
ReplyDeleteOh Lightning! You need to be brave like your handsome brother Thunder. You should pretend you're a super hero Siberian and you can zap anything that tries to scare you. I mean, after all your name is Lightning!
ReplyDeleteKat
Take him to see donkey's :-) :-) ah... nutter x x x
ReplyDeleteLightning-
ReplyDeleteI like the orange cones, but that big roll of wire is SUPER scary!!
Wyatt
I think that this might be the first time that Lightning commandeered your blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that seeing TD be fine with that stuff didn't help... Our dogs also get scared by "out of place stuff" like those cones (I mean our other dogs, including past ones, besides Shyla). I hope that Lightning can learn to follow his big brother's lead.
Lightening you are soo cool! I just want to take a zillion pictures of you!
ReplyDeleteI am like that with some things too! Jen never seems to know when something will evoke fearful reactions from me.
ReplyDeleteI think I am one with Lightning and I would avoid those huge monsters for sure!!
