Tuesday's Show and Tell


The Momster has FINALLY finished her latest projects (begun last summer).


Did you make this for us, Mom?

We didn't think so.  Mom crocheted two different granny square afghans for the two girl grandbipeds.


This one has soft pink and rose colored pop-up flowers in the center with a mixed "sherbert" trim on a vanilla background.  It is for the girl twin C.



Here is a close-up.



This one has grape and rose colored pop-up flowers with a pistachio trim on a vanilla background.  It is for the big sister K.   Each of the girls selected their colors to match their bedrooms.

We think they came out very well, but Mom says never again - they took a really long time to finish, not to mention a few glitches with them AFTER the pieces were all joined together.  We think she is putting those crochet hooks away for a while now.



That's OK, Mom.  That just means your paws are free to give us more walks and more treats.

    Wow! Very beautiful afghans for the girlies. How nice she asked their advice so they would go with their rooms!

    I am no chrocheter so I have to make things on the machine or knit.
    But I love things like this.

    I doubt very much she would make one for each of you guys. Don't hold your breath!

    Beautiful afghans! We bet the girls are going to love those. How special to have something handmade for them! We still have some ooooooold quilts that my great grandmother made for my mom and grandmother years and years ago. I love them!
