So yesterday Mr. Lightning was on the prowl for some mischief. Many of you so graciously offered to help him out. Are you wondering if there was mischievous activity here yesterday and did Lightning find it? Read on and you will find out.
Mischief????? From me????? Are you totally off your rocker??? I usually sleep in until at least 4:00 p.m.
Well, yes, once upon a time, it could have been me.
I remember well many exciting adventures involving mud, holes, critters, gardens.
But now that I am seven, I have left those puppyish behaviors behind (heh heh).
Now you KNOW I have the face of innocence.
HEY, wait a minute!!!! Why are you all looking at ME????
In fact, I am quite proud to tell you that I was INSIDE when all the fun began. Want to see what happened?
Well, we don't have any photos of the actual event because the Momster was too freaked out to think to grab the flashy beast. But here is a post-mischief photo.
"Somepup" had found this hissing critter and was flipping it up in the air. We don't know our snakes very well, but we are pretty sure this is a harmless one, but STILL . . . That rake is just a little biped one, not a full sized adult one. And do you know who that Somepup was?????
Yep, it was ME, Ciara - I found him in the grass and I was having such a great time tossing him up in the air. He didn't taste very good, but it was still fun UNTIL the Momster spotted me through the window and came out shrieking at me to LEAVE IT!!! Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.
See, you were all wrong. Now let's get this post done so I can chomp on that sweet potato cookie.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
OMD!! Oh Gurl!! You Rock!! Now that is my kind of funs!! (well, everythin' is my kind of funs, butts this is FABulous!)
ReplyDeleteThat musta been so much fun. Too bad your Moms had to spoil it for you...they always do, huh?!
Lightning ~ where were you?! Inside??? I would have expected you to have at least joined in on the funs!! Well, next time....
Kisses,
Ruby
Sure, Right, because your seven the mischief stops, Barharhar. Ciara, a SNAKE, did you say SNAKE, Bites run!!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
SNAKE! EEEEK! OMD that is too much mischief for me!
ReplyDeleteCiara! You are so brave! We have one of those snakes that lives in our garden (totally safe but ultra freaky) and I had a show down with him last year...Couldn't bring myself to chomp him though!
ReplyDeleteI did catch a vole this morning though and while Mrs. Master was taking Ollie in, I ROLLED IN IT!
Nora
Ciara, you are very brave! If our mommy had seen you with a snake she would've screamed so loud they would have heard her in Omaha!
ReplyDeleteDear Ciara, you are a girl I could fall in love at once! You are so brave and dangerous at the same time! I'm very impressed, really!
ReplyDeleteLove
Arno
Oh Ciara,,,don't you ever, ever do that again! I hate those things,,,in my humble opinion,,,there are no "good" ones. LOl...Lightning did have a bit of a guilty look though.
ReplyDeleteEEEKKKKK!!! Snakes in the real furs? My mom would have been screaming to!
ReplyDeleteIt runs in the blood! If it isn't Ciara, it has to be you, Lightning. If it isn't Lightning, it most probably is Ciara.
ReplyDeleteWHOA WHOA.... HOLD YOUR SQUIRRELS here... WHAT??? I (Frankie Furter) am soon gonna be SEVEN and I am not one bit happy to hear that I am gonna have to give up ANY of the FUN STUFFS that I Love... ARE YOU SURE we have to do that when we are SEVEN?? If so.. I am just gonna stay SIX.
ReplyDeleteNow about that SNAKE... CIARA you were really BRAVE. Snakes kinda SCARE us. Never tasted one though.
OMD Mom would have freaked! She HATES snakes.
ReplyDeleteNola
We've never played with a snake before. Our mom would be freaking out! She hates snakes!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
we agree ----eeeeekkkkk snake!!! Well done Ciara for finding it - not sure playing with was a great idea.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's quite the mischief, Ciara! You were only having fun. Mom remembers one of her kitties running down the hill behind our house (when they lived in Boise) with a 40" garter snake in her mouth. Dad was always 'releasing' snakes back up the hill.
ReplyDeleteWe KNEW Ciara was NOT over the mischief stage.
ReplyDeleteOur snakes are 99% poisonous...only the pythons aren't, so we have to stay away from ALL snakes.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Oh, I can hear the shrieking of the human pitching a fit when you were just having fun. Well, it was good while it lasted.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Dexter
Hi there, So very thankful that the snake was just a garden variety and not something that could make you very ill. We got a lot of rattlers in our yard when we lived in northern Ca. but I'm thankful we don't have them here-at least not in the yard. You were so obedient to "leave it"-well done.
ReplyDeleteHappy Paws,
Noreen & Hunter
OMD!
ReplyDeleteCiara!
Sure you are brave!
My mom remembers a close encounter with a snake... and she says it was Take care
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
What mischief! I think that's a garter snake, but I'm no snake expert either. Is it ok?
ReplyDeleteCiara the snake wrangler. hahahha. I get snakes sometimes in my yard too. But now for the most part I let them alone.... for the most part.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your treat. It is well deserved.
Blessings,
Goose
You're one brave Husky, Ciara. Girl power rules!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you caught it while it was still small.
I can imagine that flipping a snake around would be a very satisfying feeling. I can also imagine being like mom and freaking out.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note...Twinkie is our kitty! Bet you didn't know we had a kitty. She's 17 years old and doesn't get much blog time. I'm going to update my post because I forget that a lot of folks don't know about Twinkie. Thank you for asking.
OH! ICKY SCARY!!! I HATE snakes. The only good snake is a dead snake!
ReplyDeleteI do a "snake dance" when I see one that involves running by kicking my legs high in the air (Think drum major style) while shrieking in a high pitched voice: SNAKE SNAKE SNAKE!
Oh I am afraid of snakeys!
ReplyDeleteBut I do like sweet potatoe snackys.
love tweedles
Oh Ciara what a good find. We know you must have had a blast til mom ruined the fun
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
We would never have guessed!!!
ReplyDeleteSnakes are not us...our mom would go nuts!!
Wirey love,
Jake and Just Harry
Woof! Woof! Oh NO ... You sure got that look. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteCiara we think playing with a snake looks just like playing with a rope toy. Too bad you couldn't get one of your brothers to play tug of war with you and the snake.
ReplyDeleteMillie & Walter
What fun Ciara! Not only did the snake hiss but your mom shrieked. Way to go, girl!
ReplyDeleteOMD!!! Snake!!! My mom would have screamed her lungs out. Anyway, I'll leave that slimy thing alone.
ReplyDelete~ Eva
Oh my cat, we can't believe it's time for those critters to be out and about! Scary! Your poor Mom.
ReplyDeleteMomma reacts the same way when Puff and Nuka go lizard hunting...the snake game sounds like they would join right in. Me? I prefer the sweet potato cookie idea!
ReplyDeleteOMD Clara you found a sneaky snake. Bet that was great fun playing catch with it. What can we say but the peeps always spoil our fun and yes it usually involves lots of shrieking. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Our woofies will chase a snake in our yard sometimes. Mom is very grateful that the snakes are faster than the woofies because she would freak if she saw them playing with one.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Ciara the only girl and fearless!!!
ReplyDeleteYour brothers must be very proud of you.
PS Mom says all snakes are dangerous 'cause no matter whether they are poison they would scare her to death same result as being poison
Hugs madi your BFFF
Oh gosh...I would have FREAKED! I freaked out about the frog I found in the flower bed last week. You sure are brave, Ciara! I bet you were having tons of fun flipping that snake up in the air! Yuck.
ReplyDeleteElyse and Riley
Be careful Ciara, that's a dangerous kind of air streamer ...
ReplyDeleteWell, well, we take it all back - it is Princess Ciara who is the mischief maker, BOL!
ReplyDeleteDip Bridge and Elliot x
I would have shrieked if I was your mom, too!
ReplyDeleteHow can I translate a loud shriek on a comment??? OMG! Snakes are a four-letter word here...Ciara, really? You? Wow...I would have so guessed Lightning (sorry, boy, bad rap, I know)...sounds like Ciara was having a grand ol' time...eek...shiver, shudder....
ReplyDelete(glad every pup was OK and it wasn't a biter). Shiver, shudder, shriek...
Oddly, timid little Gg is a snake-hunter. It makes me CRAZY.
ReplyDeleteSissy likes sand crabs and was very upset that none were spotted at the beach.
Been away for a while so got a bit to catch up on but we thought it was Thunder Dunder the snake charmer!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE this post - your Momster is very good at blogging!
Bow-Wow I have never met a snake before, it sounds like you had such a fun time playing with him until your Momma spotted you, such naughtyness, I think your brave, I would never have gone near it! Love and Hugs from your Furiend Frank XxxxX
