What did I do wrong, Wyatt? Maybe you need to come give me some gardening lessons.
Some guy was here Monday and put two of these green weeds in MY exploration patch. I really didn't think they belonged here so I decimated them!!! BOTH of them. Mom says they were two new liriopes or something like that, but they sure looked like weeds to me. NOW she has put two other new ones, day lilies, in cages - you can see one behind me to my right. I think those day lilies need to be eradicated too. For some reason, the Momster is not too happy with me.
Oh, and I think there are four new shrubs around here somewhere - I think I am going to be a very busy gardener.
Woos - Lightning
Pee Ess - I didn't even get my footsies too dirty - Mom hasn't quite figured out that one.
Hi Woos! We're your newest follower. You are quite the gorgeous pack of huskies.
ReplyDeleteLightning, you don't look pleased with your mom's attempt at prettying up the garden. I think my dogs would do the same and think "these do not belong here!"
Happy Wednesday!
Yikes. Hope Wyatt comes through with some good advice. I think you may be in trouble, Lightning.
ReplyDeleteUh oh, we see a new 'Sibe Free Barrier' being constructed soon.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & roxy
Oh, and well spotted with Roxy's wonky foot. We're going to blog about it next week.
LOL Lightning your have some pawsome digging and shredding skills pal. Mum should be proud. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I hope you're getting treats for all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteYou just have to keep those weeds at bay or they will take over and you will have no where to dig :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear I bet your mum is so not happy but if you didn't help then there would be nothing for the gardener to do MOl.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteGardening is a very hard work. Frosty, the Husky was always peeing on people who changed something in the back yard :o)
ReplyDeleteYou should think about this, Lightning as your Mom may decide to move to things with THORNS!!!!
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Tommy
If anyone can help you it's Wyatt. But I say you are off to a good start in the gardening department. You gotta get a little dirty when you garden. And things sometimes have to be moved around and even removed.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Oh boy...Wyatt should surely know what to do!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe had some potted plants on our patio when Riley was a puppy...she destroyed them! My sister wants us to plant a raised bed in our backyard this year, so we shall see how that goes...!
Elyse and Riley
Hey Lightning, I know you just wanted to help your mom.
ReplyDeleteWyatt is an expert; hope he can give you some very good advice soon.
You and our Dad would make a good pair - he can never tell plants from weeds either and is always being told off by Mum, haha!
ReplyDeleteDip Bridge and Elliot x
Charley's been munching on our new flowers too. I don't get it - why won't the peeps let us check out their new plantings? Hope you can find those new shrubs!
ReplyDeleteHummmm, weed removal pawty hey, looks like and outstanding job to us! Now about that little stinky cage thingy!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
OH MY WORD LIGHTNING!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. I was out and just casually picked a tulip to munch and Mrs. Master was SO SO SO MAD. What's her deal?
Anyway, you guy were right about Ollie keeping his lasers on Mrs. Master. He actually never takes his eyes off her. What you can't see in the photo is that Master is in the kitchen making pop corn and that's why I'm looking the other way.
Ok...one more thing to my very long comment. We have a TON of lirope and please let your mom know that Mrs. Master would be happy to dig up a clump or two or four for your mom.
Nora
Lightning you did absolutely nothing wrong. Look who's in jail! The Lilys not you
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
You better get some advices with Wyatt, Lightning.
ReplyDeleteThor and Jack
Oh Lightning,
ReplyDeletei think that you don't have the "green thumb" as we say here, I do not know if from you it says so.
Have a nice day.
Woof, woof,
Chicco
Bawahhaawaa, I try helping with the gardening and I keep ending up in the Dawg house.. Can you send Wyatt to me too :) xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
Oh my Brother from another Mother....I don't understand the peeps either!!!! As you can tell from my yardie, all Ma's plants are in 'jail'. Something abouts me 'sampling' them as I walk by.
ReplyDeleteI understand. You were just helpin'!! That dirt just looks too good not to touch, too! Oh, that looks like TONS of fun!! hehehe
I have my eye on a new plant, you could join me!! It looks like it needs to be 'relocated'! BOL
Kisses,
Ruby
Uh oh... Lightning. We hope Wyatt gets this message quick and give you advise. We need help too especially Wai-Max and Frappie. They always try to help Piappies Mama to clean up the garden but she doesn't seem to be happy when they pull out greenies.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Piappies Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Max, Wai-Pai & Forgie
Oh no Lightning, did you kind of dig up those new plants. Maybe someone else did that, like a rabbit of some sort. Those were way too tempting not to dig up. Have a great day. No more digging.
ReplyDeleteIf your feet aren't dirty you can always blame "Some doggie". We think you're doing a great job. Mom doesn't appreciate our gardening advice either.
ReplyDeleteMorgan, Sebastian, the Porties, Syd and Mac
I think the fact that your footsies aren't dirty is all the evidence we need. You are clearly innocent of these crimes!
ReplyDeleteI think they were really TRIFFIDS and you did an excellent job at protecting your family from them!
ReplyDeleteYou should enter this pic in my contest:-)
Oops....I'm sure he slipped and didn't mean to pull it all the way up.
ReplyDeleteLightning,
ReplyDeleteFor inspiration, you might want to check in on Bob and Sophie's new blog - -- if you haven't been already, they're the new puppers who are helping fill the heart holes left by Wilf and Digby in southwest France.
Sophie -- at less than two months -- has succeed in demolishing all kinds of vegetation: bulbs, peonies, irises, etc. Watching her dig is awe-inspiring. (Don't tell the Momster!!!)
Wirey love,
Jake and Just Harry
Such beautiful eyes, onsuch a beautiful dog, thats a double truth!:)
ReplyDeleteWe would think that your mom would be thrilled that you're helping her out with her weeding, Lightning! Your job looks beautiful to us!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Lightning, we're proud of ya mate. We help in the garden too but mum just doesn't appreciate it at all. Keep on gardening. You might even find some flowers to pick for your mum! No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteThe only good plant is a plant destroyed by Huskies. Good job Lightning.
ReplyDeleteRemy and Flash
Aren't all plants weeds?
You look so proud of yourself! As you should!
ReplyDeleteWell, clearly if your feets are clean it wasn't you so maybe some weed hater sneaked in in the middle of the night and decimated them!
ReplyDeleteOh boy Lightning! I bet your Momma gave you an ear full when she saw what you did!
ReplyDeleteTypists dog did that yesterday too - were you in cohorts?? And he's eaten all the flowers in a tub they planted!
ReplyDeleteWe think it was rude of that guy to put those green weeds in your patch! Of course you should get rid of them.
ReplyDeleteWe are curious about how you did it and kept your paws clean. Are you being framed?
The Florida Furkids
For some reason, all of our decorative plants are outside our fence. Total mystery.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, all of our decorative plants are outside our fence. Total mystery.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Benny and Lily. If the plants are in jail, they're the ones in trouble. Start worrying if you end up behind bars.
ReplyDeleteCocoa
We love watching spring come to your place. You guys always have such beautiful flowers and bushes and trees.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that can live here is pee resistant plands and apparently holyhocks are very pee reisitant
Love
Bert
you are verry good.
ReplyDeleteLike you work in my garden?
Wuff Tibi
why Lightning, those are very tidy whitey paws you have...surely those paws were never ever doing anything naughty...heh...heh
ReplyDelete(Sigh) you has to ask before you eradicate things and the answer is usually NO. ~Fenris
