My Special Boy

THUNDER
April 28, 2006 - July 1, 2013

Run free, my very special boy.  And wear that silver harness proudly!  We all love you and wish you didn't have to leave us so soon.  Our hearts are broken and the tears keep coming, but we will never forget you.

We will present a celebration of the life of Thunder Dunder at another time.  Please go hug your pets and tell them you love them.

  9. Kathie, we were so heartbroken to learn from Ann today about the loss of Thunder. He was such a special boy ... loved by all who knew him through your words and photos, and he will be deeply missed. Sad as we are, though, I know that our sorrow does not compare to yours. I know from experience that there is nothing anyone can really say or do to ease the pain of such a loss as this, but I hope knowing that others are thinking of you, and sending lots of hugs and good thoughts, will help just a little bit.

Love from Tucker and the gang.

  119. Dear Kathi and sweet pups,
I saw a post on Facebook and was devastated to hear about Thunder. I understand how difficult it is to lose a young dog...I have been through it myself. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.
With sincere sympathy from all of us here at Moondance Huskies.
    Love & hugs,

  120. Sweet Thunder,
We are so sorry you had to leave us so soon. Wear your silver harness with pride as you run North of the Rainbow Bridge. You can play with the members of our team who are waiting there...I know they will love you and show you around. We will light a candle and watch for your star and and your silver harness flashing in the light of the next full moon.
I know you will always watch over your family. Let them know that you are around them....our angel dogs ring the wind chimes in the kennel on a still night!
Run free, Thunder, and know you are surrounded by love!
Skye and all the Moondance Huskies and mom

  122. Ma had to come back twice to comment cause she was cryin' for you. I was hoping your Sweet Boy would start feelin' better before you had to write this. At least you know he is now free and eating up a storm and rompin' in the snow and free of Lightning jumpin' on him.(BOL)
I will howl at the wind tonight just for him (okay, maybe just bark, I don't howl too much...), and Ma gave me special hugs and said it was from Thunder Dunder.

    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  123. Dear Thunder - I am sure you know you will be missed by so very many-
most of all by your family. You left this world way to soon but I know you are now running and playing with other doggies and kitties pain-free and that once voracious appetite.
    Mom Kim, Shiloh'n Diva Shasta

Kathy and family - I have been offline and my time here has been sporadic at best - I last heard what the possible diagnosis was but Thunder was still with you. I was checking my email tonight and was shocked when I saw Ann's email. I too have lost a young dog - two in fact and it is so hard - it is difficult at any age but when they are young it is a little harder I think. I am not very good at this-
I wish I was there to hug you and listen. I am just so very sorry for your loss - I will give some extra hugs and kisses to Shiloh'n Diva Shasta but please give Lightning, Ciara and Phantom extra hugs and kisses from me.
    Mom Kim

  153. I tear recalling how naughty Thunder was to nom a squirrel, how clever to wiggle through the fences (but caught red-pawed), how loving and patient he was with Ciara... When I first chanced upon this blog through Ginger Jasper's a few days ago, Thunder was already 'ill' but I couldn't help noticing how beautiful, handsome and majestic this Prince is. To me, he remains the best of the OP pack's Woos. My deepest and most sincere condolences to you, Momster and Dadster! Thunder will be missed and remembered and I hope Ciara is coping well with her award winning big bro...

Thus, we can say that Thunder had a whole and perfect life - a wonderful life full with joy, pals, loving and caring pawrents and harmony. He was very-very lucky with his family. He was special and I'm sure he knew and knows it.
