May the 4th - be with you!!!

Let the celebration begin - LIGHTNING is Three today, May the 4th (Sorry for the Star Wars pun).

Today I am THREE!!!  Mom says it is time for me to be a mature and responsible guy!

I promise to try, but I am a fun-loving pup.  I love to dig, and chase rabbits, and uproot the grass.  That's all part of being a dog, right?  Today is flower planting day, one area I know I need to work on.  Maybe lots of yummy treats will help get me on the right path, Mom.

Speaking of yummy treats, look what Mom got for me.  A special trip to Trader Joe's for my favorite peanut butter treats.  And  I see some chicken and rice chews, and super scrumptious chicken fillets.  And way in the back is a can of the most terrific turkey dinner.

Here is a closer look.  This is one of the many different kinds of canned food Mom keeps trying to get Phantom to eat.  Ciara and I get lucky because Picky Boy won't eat it, so waste not, want not:)  It is filled with juicy turkey, yummy broth, and good veggies.

Here is a closer look at my peanut butter treats - aren't they just so HUGE!!!  Mom usually breaks them in smaller pieces, but today she said I can have a whole one or maybe even two.

We all know how important it is for us to have great toys.  We don't get many new ones because they don't last long enough:(  SomePups are always destroying them - I'm just sayin".

Here is one very cute and special toy I received in the mail from all my husky furiends at Holly and the Huskies - he looks a lot like Curious George - and I am just like him, very curious  Thank you, friends.  (Mom told me that there will be a birthday celebration at my pals' house too - I share a birthday with a cute gal over there.)

Now are you wondering if Mom and Dad got any new toys for me?  Take a look!

Two brand new Kong wubbas.  I LOVE wubbas, and they are one of the few toys we have had that don't disintegrate in five minutes flat.

I think this blue one is the perfect color for me.  No worries, I didn't lose a paw, just tucked it away for comfort.

I want to play with my wubba, Mom - put the flashy beast away, please.

Oh, OK, I can give you one more shot of me with a big smile.

Were you wondering why I got two wubbas?  Well, you know, it IS nice to share:)

I didn't forget about Phantom, but he isn't really into wubbas:)

Hey, Phantom - wake up, it's my birthday!!!

Did you say something about tasty treats?  That might really interest me.

Party time - let's have those treats, Mom.

And in a little while, the grill will fire up and it's steaks for everyone!!!!
