Phantom loves to visit his friends, the mini donkeys.
C'mon, Mom - let's get closer.
I wonder if they know my blogging pals Joe and Smoke from Marg's Animals.
Mom heard you calling me, and now I see you looking at me!
Awww - sniffs kisses through the fence.
These donkeys live about a half mile from our home, but they are on the other side of a four lane busy road from where we usually walk. Every time they are out in the big field, they call to us as we walk by. We don't often go to say hi because it is tough to get across the big street and Phantom isn't exactly Speedy Gonzalez. But last night they just kept braying and braying and he had spotted them. So with a break in the traffic we crossed over. The one at the fence is very comfortable with him while the other two keep their distance. If we stay too long, one of them jumps on this friendly one's back, and then we have to leave because they all get too excited. And then we have to get back across the wide street. Phantom really enjoys seeing them so Mom thinks it is worth the challenge.
And now it is time for me to rest:)
Happy Saturday to all our pals out there!
Woos - Phantom
Phantom really enjoys his Donkey pals. It's so nice to see the pictures of them together. And that Phantom made that one mile walk to see them and get home. :) Way to go, Phantom!
ReplyDeleteSo darn sweet. We know so well about crossing streets as Pip was forever in our arms and luckily she was small as there a lot of streets here and traffic. Glad you got to say Hi Phantom. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
it is wonderful the connection dome dogs have with other animals. Years ago I had a dog who just adored one of our bantam chickens - they would sit together, go around the yard together, eat together. Looks like Phantom has a donkey buddy and he obviously loves to say hi.
ReplyDeleteOh Phantom, we are so so glad you made it across that busy street to see your donkey friends. That is just so exciting. Bet that made for a good day for you and we know the donkeys were glad to see you. You all made the Mom smile big time and we are sure that Smoke and Joe know those donkeys. Well done. Now you just rest up Phantom for the next trip.
ReplyDeletePhantom! You are SO brave!! I'm totally scared of those "big dogs!"
