I spy with my pretty copper eye that nice man in the big brown truck. I bet he is bringing us our October selection for review from Chewy.com.
Oh yes, Ciara was right. Here we have a package of Solid Gold Tiny Tots jerky treats for dogs. Tiny tots??? We are not tiny, but the package says they are great for use as training treats. Hmmmm, we are most willing to be trained if we can taste those treats.
Well, the print is sort of tiny, so here is what we found on the Solid Gold website about this product:

As you can see, they are a little small, but we can guarantee you they are delicious. Smell and taste just like yummy jerky.
And Mom says she can still smell them on her hands:(
Sheesh, you can see from our expressions that posing for photos is not our idea of training. Just hand over those treats, Mom.
Phantom has that worried look of "is she ever going to dish out the goodies?"
Please have pity on this poor old senior and give me a fistful of yumminess.
I can almost taste them.
Here is a half smile - now please let's have the treats!!!
Finally we got to test taste the Tiny Tots - sorry, no photos of that - Mom isn't capable of operating the flashy beast and dishing out the prizes. But we will all agree - they were very, very good. Thank you, Chewy.com, for giving us the opportunity to do this review.
Note from the Momster: I always check to see where any product I give to the dogs is made. The packaging from Solid Gold only indicates that they were "Manufactured for" Solid Gold in California. I could not find anywhere that said they were made in the U.S.A. I checked the packaging details on both the website for Solid Gold and for Chewy, and there was nothing. So I contacted both companies. Chewy, as always, was extremely responsive, replying to my query almost immediately. They found on the FAQ section of the Solid Gold website that their products are all made in the U.S.A. Later that day, I also heard from a Solid Gold representative who confirmed that all their products are indeed U.S.A. manufactured. I told him it would be nice to see that information right on the package, especially in the light of the recent concerns over products made in certain other countries. He replied that Solid Gold expects to change their packaging in the near future to add that information. Once I was able to confirm the source of the treats, I was ready to share them with the dogs.
And I am VERY thankful that she did:)
Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

THANK YOU SO MUCH fur going to the work of CHECKING the Source of these treats... We are suspicious of anythingy that doesn't PROMINENTLY Say were they are "MANUFACTURED"... and WHAT they are made from... and WHERE THAT stuffs COMES FROM ALSO...
ReplyDeleteLOVE that Chewy was so responsive to your query. THAT is the kind of Customer CARE that we all love about them... They will NOT put $$ before US. WE come FURST ALWAYS at Chewy.com
Excellent investigative work their Mom - you have to be careful when they say 'made for' as you can never be sure where they are made. But those are just way way to small - even my guys who half the size of your would inhale them in one breath and never taste them :) :)
ReplyDeleteOh we agree, it is so important these days to know where things come from. We are so glad your yummy was good in the tummy!
ReplyDeleteThat sure was a good idea to find out where the treats were made. Ciara, that first picture of you is so pretty. And Phantom, we love your face saying PLEASE, hurry, I got to have my treat now. Great pictures. Love seeing Phantom. You all have a great evening.
ReplyDeleteIt looked like you guys were being tortured before getting those treats. BOL! Your mom was good to check where they came from. Those treats looked worth the wait though.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmm. Our first reaction was TINY TOTS....very small treats. But sounds like they're BIG on taste. We think you just need MORE.
