Change of plans
Today we were planning to tell you all about a fantastic treat that Chewy.com sent us to review. BUT our plans had to change, and our hopes were dashed as poor Ciara has had three seizures since midnight.
Lightning is taking good care of her, and you can tell by the look on his face that he is not happy with that evil "S monster.
Mom had another conversation with Ciara's neurologist. She has gone 8 weeks seizure-free since we added the zonisamide to her Keppra. Mom was worried for the past few days that she has been showing signs of building up to one again, and unfortunately Mom was right. Dr. C. is hopeful that this is just a glitch and that she will go back to another long stretch of being free from the monster. He is ordering some valium for Ciara that Mom will give her after she has a seizure and continue to administer it per the instructions ongoing until she is 24 hours seizure-free. We hope it works, but we sure aren't happy about having to add more medication. Please keep Ciara in your thoughts as Mom is pretty sure she is going to have another one before the day is done.
Woos - Ciara and Lightning
