Flower Friday
Today we are joining Dory for the last Flower Friday of the month of April.
On our last Flower Friday, we showed you Mom's pretty orchids. There was a BIG one and a little baby one. The baby one was just starting to bud.
So today, we want you to see how pretty it is with four gorgeous blooms. Hmmm, looks like there are some new flowers there too.
Mom loves Calla lilies and spotted these pretty pink ones at the garden shop yesterday. Of course, she HAD to have them. But when she got home, she checked online to see if they were OK to plant where we play (and might try to taste them). AND she found out that they ARE indeed toxic to animals. So the lilies will have to be planted in the front flower beds where we don't get to go.
Thanks, Mom, for taking such good care of us. And we promise not to go out through the front door:)

I love calla lilies too... and I ernjoy them in the yards of our neighbors, seems we have the perfect climate for this flowers, they look wonderful :o)
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful! (As are both of you!) Your mom is smart to put them out front! That's part of the reason our Lily of the Valley are in our front yard!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend!
Cammie!
Oh, such pretty pretty calla lilies!! Momma LOVES callas too. We have some yellow ones in our front flower bed, and we can't wait for them to bloom.
ReplyDeleteOh they are gorgeous and the color is breathtaking. It is too bad you can have them in your area but just think how pretty the will be when folks walk up to your front door.
ReplyDeleteI love that last photo of you two!!
hugs madi your bfff
Happy Friday to you. We are having snow today, so I won't be out taking pics of my tulips. If I hadn't already posted, I'd be joining you by posting photos of my four orchids that are blooming. I've never been able to keep them alive before, though we did have Cymbidium Orchids outside year round in Ca. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

Lovely :-) since we moved here in Cali, its great to see flowers blooming all season. Happy Friday Golden Woofs
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your mom checked on the flowers. It's good she'll be able to enjoy them in the front yard while you get the whole backyard all by yourselves! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteCollie Lilies and Or Kids.... what a Grand Combo THOSE are.
ReplyDeleteOh they ARE pretty - Mom has resisted getting any of them (the calla lilies) since they are poisonous and I am outside but I doubt I'd be interested in them since I'm basically a GREEN GRASS EATER! Anyway, best to be safe.
ReplyDeleteLove, Sammy
those are soooo beautiful!

What pretty blooms! And that's good that your mom spread the word that they are not good for our tummies!

The pink Calla Lilies are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThat's some good advice about the calla lilies. Thanks. Oh, I'll tell you a secret: ghostwriter can grow all kinds of stuff in the outside garden. But forget about indoor gardening. Fail epic!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I wish I had a green thumb, but I sure do love looking at flowers! And Ciara and Lightning - you both look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are so pretty. The orchid is really pretty. And you two Woos sure look good too. Hope you all have a fantastic week end.
ReplyDeleteThey are really beautiful - But I had no idea they were toxic to pups, thanks for passing that along!

Love calla lilies, too. Our tulips are just starting to bloom. Hurray!
ReplyDeleteCrikey .... they are very pretty, aye?? AND ... they do look good enough to eat so I s'pose it's a good idea to put 'em somewhere that you can't get at 'em?? I'd eat 'em for sure.
ReplyDeleteOMD, Ma loves the lilies too! And that is why they are in 'jail' behind the doggie gates! For SOME REASON, she just doesn't trust me! the nerves!
ReplyDeleteAnyhu, you guys are lookin' mighty fine in front of those blooms!
Kisses,

Beautiful flowers and two beautiful huskies!! We have to be so very careful of what we plant...both of the girls love to hang out in the garden and I am always keeping a VERY watchful eye to make sure they are not getting in to anything...or chewing on anything!! Happy Weekend!!
ReplyDeleteOur #1 thinks that pretty much all lilies are toxic to pets, which is a real shame.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful orchids!
Woofs,
Tommy
Mom wishes so much that she had the knowledge and patience for orchids. They are such beautiful flowers and so are calla lilies!
ReplyDeleteNo lilies here either.
ReplyDeleteEllie and Allie say thank you for stopping by their Birthday Party!
The Florida Furkids
You mom is smart to check to make sure that plants are safe for you. Our pawrents are careful with that too although we have never tried to eat anything other than the grass in our backyard.
ReplyDeleteOhhh such beautiful flowers!!

Your mom has a green thumb! What pretty flowers. I'm glad she takes such great care of you two. We all love you!
ReplyDeleteThe Runner brought home cut tulips and irises today, to help me think of springtime. But it was a day too late for flower Friday :)
Oh no! We didn't know lilies are toxic to animals. Mom loves lilies and always get some from the florists, but she just promised she won't get them anymore.
ReplyDeleteWhen the pups were born, we had to move several plants to a dog restricted area. Now I check before buying. Lats week I saw a gorgeous tree that I wanted with big beautiful flowers. I read that all parts of the tree are toxic, so I passed and will have to just enjoy it in pictures.
ReplyDeleteScary how many things are toxic to our fur babies!!!
