With all the rain the past few days, we can't walk on our trail because the creek overflows onto the walkway and leaves lots of very slick muddy spots. We love to trek through the mud, but Mom says it is even worse than ice - she can't seem to keep her footing in the mud:) So we crossed the big busy street and went to visit Phantom's pals.
Right away I spotted this one. I asked him if he knew Joe and Smoke but he was too busy grazing to pay any attention to me.
Lightning, do you think we could woo up a song together to get that donkey to come talk to us?
Look, Misty - that donkey has a few buddies over there.
Oh, I see them now. Let's call them over.
I think it is working, Lightning - here they come.

Whoa!!! Let's GO!!! I am outta here right now!!!
Woos - Misty and Lightning
We had some bad storms last night and today our yard is all muddy. We like it but Mom isn't thrilled with it. She's talking to herself and that's not good.
ReplyDeleteOh that is so cool! Did you find out if they know Smoke and Joe?
ReplyDeleteThat donkey had quite the story to tell! Mom totally agrees with your mom about mud. It's slick!
ReplyDeleteOh my Cod, that was funny. Don't blame you Misty for being scared. The donks have very loud voices. But at least they came to see you. Our Mom laughed and laughed. Those donkeys probably would try and chase you. They are big protectors of their herds. That is probably why it was doing it's Hee Hawing. Bet Misty won't want to go back there. Actually people with cows and sheep use donkeys to protect them. I had a stray dog get in my pasture, before Joe and Smoke, but had a donkey named Sweet Pea and Sweet Pea went after that dog big time. I had to go chase the donkey away from the dog.
