Wednesday Words with the Woos

We have been posting a lot about Misty and Timber together.  They have a great relationship and spend a LOT of time playing.  There is only a 10 1/2 month difference in their ages.  Misty still has a lot of puppy in her, and she so enjoys her time with Timber.  Some of you seem concerned that Lightning might be getting left out.  No worries, he does very well with Timber too.  But he is 6 1/2 now and not as into puppy antics 24/7:)  Even with just Misty, he limited his time for lots of playing.  He is much more content to sit together with his furamily and watch all the action.  This is part of why we decided to add Timber to our family so that Misty could have a more active playmate.  Lightning gets time alone, time with just Misty, and time with just Timber, and of course, time with all three altogether. Our silly boy Lightning has matured a lot, especially since we lost Ciara, and we do believe he still misses her a lot.  But he is a happy pup and loves his life.  Just keep those bikes away from him.

Here he is very content to lie next to Timber while Timber "quietly" gnaws on a ball.  And Timber does like to be in close proximity to his BIG brother during those times.  We walk in shifts here now that there are three.  And we mix up the pairing all the time.  Lightning and Misty, Timber and Misty, Lightning and Timber.  Whoever isn't in the pair gets to go solo with Mom, a great time for working on good walking techniques.

It is a very common thing to spot the two boys together on the coolaroo cot, just being together.

Hey, Timber here, Lightning is teaching me how to do the dangle. But he says I might need to grow my legs a bit more:)  I wonder if one day I will be as big as he is.

So to sum it up, we are a happy pack.  Just like humans, we all have our unique ways of bonding with each other.  Lightning doesn't want anyone to be worried about him at all:)

  1. Oh we weren't worried here - Mom and I knew with all the experience you guys have with the Sibe Troop, everything was as it should be. No doubt Lightning is loving having the little 'bro but enjoys just watching the play with the youngsters too. You have a "little bit of everything" in WOO-VILLE now with your dynamic threesome! We love hearing about them and seeing them.

    Hugs, Teddy and Mom too

  3. We totally understood that Lightning would enjoy more alone time because we would too if a puppy came into our house. We're glad everyone has fun together from time to time though!

  4. I bet Lightning does still miss Ciara. He probably is enjoying having a little down time to himself. Sounds very busy at your house but a fun time. Have a great day.

  5. We weren't worried at all, we know that each pup bonds different with their sis's and brothers, mags was a little pup when gussie came so i think that is why they are really close, plus maggie has a bit of the high school mean girl in her soul...lol.....they are all so beautiful. Also thank you for saying those nice words about moms wreath. That really made her day. stella rose

  7. First of all, we're in shock. Lightning's 6 1/2??!! How did that happen. We thought he might be enjoying some uninterrupted alone time, and wasn't bothered by the two 'wild ones'. But 6 1/2? Sheesh!

  8. I understand the not wanting to play all the time, Lightning. You boys are so handsome together and the three of you are the perfect team!

  14. Jakey seems to be following Lightnings lead...While Arty and Rosy have a great time doing zoomies around the back yard, Jakey is content to watch on from the back porch.

  22. Kinda sounds like our house we all enjoy each other but those kittens have lots more energy then the rest of us. Sometimes us more mature ones like to just watch them. And hey alone time with the Mom is always nice.

  23. That is a good looking family! We understand about "rotating" time spent with the young ones. It takes the entire village to deal with a young dog😂.
