I have a secret - shhhhh!!!
Misty and Lightning don't know my secret. If you come close and promise not to tell them, I will share my secret with you.
I am too skinny, or so the Momster says. We all get fed twice a day, at or about 6:00 a.m. and at or about 5:00 p.m. Every now and then Mom catches me having the horka horka right before dinner - and I hack up a small pile of bile. She says I am like Angel Phantom in so many ways, this being one of them. She is hoping I am not going to be prone to pancreatitis like he was, but she thinks my tummy doesn't like to be empty. So now for my secret - I get a small bowl of kibble at lunchtime out on the deck all by myself. Mom thinks this might help stop the horka horka thingie if I get something in my tummy midday. I ate it up so quickly that Mom couldn't get a pic of me eating. Remember it is a secret - hush hush!!!
And Mom, while you are busy there snapping photos, how about adding a bit more to my very small bowl? After all I AM a growing boy!!!
Don't let Timber make you think we don't know something is going on - we can smell kibble on his breath!!! But as long as Mom doubles up on our "nice posing" treats, we will be OK.
Woos - Timber (and Misty and Lightning)
Happy weekend to everyone!!!

I hope the extra kibble helps you, Timber! shhhhhh - not a word!
ReplyDeleteIf it keeps your tummy happy, then it's OK!
ReplyDeleteThat's are pretty nice and yummy secret, we won't tell either!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow bile is usually a sign of an empty tummy. Good for you. Enjoy you food.
ReplyDeleteThat bile thing happens around here with Rosy...and it also happened with Angel's Dory and Bilbo...so Mama gives us small meals through out the day....Unfortunately a certain Shih Tzu(Arty) is getting a little chubsy wubsy, and Mama is having to rethink things....
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Lucky you Timber! An extra bowl for an extra special love.
ReplyDeleteWe won't tell you secret Timber. Hope that extra meal helps your tummy

That's why we get yogurt at bedtime. Porties vomit up yellow bile if our tummies go empty. Mom doesn't like hearing that sound in the early morning hours, so she makes sure we have our bedtime snack.
ReplyDeleteAbby was super skinny when we got her and didn't gain weight like we hoped for. We found feeding her grain free food (Blue Buffalo) and giving her a 1/4 to a 1/3 cup of yogurt (vanilla, sweetened only with sugar, not sugar substitutes which can be deadly for pups) every evening a couple hours after her kibble really improved her digestion and she's at a healthy weight now.

Your secret is safe with us too! We've had the same issue from time to time, and I think it's a great idea that you get to sneak a meal. I hope it works! Let us know, okay?
ReplyDeleteI won't tells!!! IF.....you gives me 87 TJ PB cookies! I will take them in installments, so your MOms won't notice them missing.....BOL!!!! Seriously, I gets that sometimes too, butts it's usually in the morning, and I try to tell Ma that she needs to gives me more evening snackies, so my tummy isn't empty, butts does she listen....NO! sigh.

Oh Timber your secret is safe with me!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
This is the exact same thing that Pierre does!!! I feed them at about the same times you do but it is the mornings that make his tummy grumbly. I changed back to Dr. Harvey's Canine Health and cut out fish. His tummy is doing much better. I still give them both a little something when they get me up at 5:00 a.m. to pee. That seems to hold him until breakfast.
ReplyDeleteOh Timber, so glad you You all have a great weekend and Timber you feel better. WE have our paws crossed for you.
ReplyDeleteI won't tell :)
ReplyDeleteWooo....we've been away a bit, but couldn't wait to come back and visit you all! I hope that midday snack will help! You sure are a cutie pie and certainly do not need that horka-horka nonsense!
ReplyDeleteWe won't tell your secret. We see some home cooking in your future! Fresh chicken and rice with some lovely veggies. What time is dinner?😋
ReplyDeleteCrikey ..... you get lunch???????? How good is that?? I'm going to start having a horka, horka episode just before tea too and maybe my Mum will give me lunch. I won't tell the others ..... honest!!!
ReplyDeleteOur mom says one of our Angel Sisters had that same problem so you aren't alone. You are so lucky to get a third meal though.
ReplyDeletehello timber its dennis the vizsla dog hay do not wurry i wil never tel!!! i hope yore tummy feels better tummy truble is no fun!!! ok bye
ReplyDeleteYour secret's safe with us! Guess what? I get the horka hork in the morning if I don't get a bedtime snack and a piece of cheese. Oh. And there's something about Mom putting a Pepcid in the cheese, but I couldn't care less about that part. I just like the CHEESE! Maggie gets a placebo in her cheese! We also get fed three very small meals a day, which helps, too --- but Mom said not everyone can fit that into busy schedules.
ReplyDeleteCammie!
No worries Timber, I promise I won't let on.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Best of luck with the weight gain. Gail and I have fingers and paws crossed that there's nothing badly wrong.
Your secret is safe with Daisy Mae And I. We won't tell.
ReplyDeleteMum's the word...er lack of it. Hope the extra snack helps the tummy out.
ReplyDeleteOne of our angels had that same issue! I love your secret. I hope that it helps.
ReplyDeleteI also love that you have some Phantom in you, Timber (but skip the pancreatitis part!).
You are a growing boy and you need a little extra to keep you full! We won't tell!
