Do your peeps ever wonder what you do when they are not home? Well, we play the waiting game.
Not very exciting, eh? Lightning is guarding the back door that the peeps come in. Timber waits close by. And Misty gets comfy as she too keeps watch. Yep, this is exactly how Mom and Dad find us when they return from their outings.
Hey, Lightning and Misty - is that a bag of jerky I see up on that counter? Hmmmm. . . Maybe it is time to change things up a bit. We can always get back to the waiting game before they get home.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Yes, they are always thinking about the peeps when they are gone. That waiting game is no fun at all. They are also thinking about getting into things they shouldn't.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof day. My best to your peeps. ♥
We are usually watching out the front door windows or standing by the garage door waiting to hear the automatic door go up. Our pawrents never find us lounging around like you all are because as soon as we see them or hear them we get all bouncy by the back door.
ReplyDeleteWere you successful in reaching the jerky?
ReplyDeleteDogs spend so much of their lives waiting for us to get home from work, or running errands...doesn't seem fair.
MOL MOL MOM AND DAD ARE SURE I DON'T MOVE FOR 87 HOURS SOMETIMES!! WELL THAT MIGHT BE TRUE AT NIGHT BUT NOT AROUND DIN DIN!
ReplyDeleteWHAT A LOVELY SIGHT TO BE WELCOMED BY YOU TRIO!

Waiting isn't much fun, might as well have treats!
ReplyDeleteThat would be fun to have a little treat while playing the waiting game. Go for it. Have a super week end.
ReplyDeleteWe're wondering if, just maybe, there's a scramble to get back into the 'waiting' places when you hear your pawrents coming home...BOL!
ReplyDelete...Wait, Momma told me that puppies have to wait in their crates when the mommas aren't at home. Why aren't you in YOUR crates??
ReplyDeleteI always wonder what Ruby does when we are not at home. Pretty sure she sleeps on the chair and stairs at the front door waiting for us to come home. LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh we keep ourselves entertained. We always have a sing-a-long. Sometimes we fix ourselves snacks if the peeps left anything within reach. Sometimes we shred a stuffy. We often rearrange the beds and blankets and one of us (Norma Jean) plays in the water bowl. We don't like to get bored.
ReplyDeleteGood eye Timber...We think you'll have plenty of time for waiting AND doing a bit f counter surfing ;-)!

I'm jumping and barking as soon as I hear a car door slam ( even if it's 3 blocks away.)
ReplyDeleteOnce in a while if I didn't potty when I went out midday, and Mom has to do an errand the leaves me in her office with some "pee pads" (though I've never had an accident) and baby gates me in. Otherwise, I am waiting at the door to the sunroom as soon as I hear her truck come down our long driveway as that's where she comes in.
ReplyDeleteMisty is waiting for Santa
ReplyDeleteWaiting for humans to come home is never fun but you guys look cute.
ReplyDeleteI figured you would take turns playing with one on watch duty :)
ReplyDeleteI patiently wait for mom near the back door that she comes through too. I never thought about helping myself to the cookie jar, Timber. Thanks☺
ReplyDeleteAs soon as the key enters the door, my guys are nuts turning themselves into furry pogo sticks! Nice to see calm patient pups.

ReplyDeleteKiki and Nala
We do that, too! We usually play it by the door they leave from. I don't like them going out without us!
