Finis on Friday

Amazingly the carpet installation went very smoothly.  A crew of SIX guys worked all day yesterday and finished around 8:30 last night.  That would be removing all the old carpeting and padding from four bedrooms, a sitting area off the master bedroom, a huge master bedroom closet, a cedar closet, three smaller bedroom closets, AND the BIG family room and sunroom.  There will also be a new runner that matches the new carpet to run the length of the family room along our route from the kitchen to the deck - it helps save on the soil of the main carpet, but it won't be ready for another week or so.  The whole job was supposed to be a two day project, but Ronnie and his crew were just superb!!!

Yes, it is another light colored carpet, but it is actually darker than the old one, picking up more sand and grey tones rather than the ivory and beige of the old one.  The photo doesn't do the color justice, but trust us, it feels really nice under our paws and tushies:) We are so happy to be able to come back into the family room with Mom and Dad as we were confined to the kitchen all day yesterday.

The bedrooms are all done too, but we don't get to go up there:(  Mom still has a few more things to do to get all the stuff back into the closets and all the breakables back in place in the bedrooms.  We are pretty sure you don't really want to see those rooms anyway since we would not be allowed to be in those photos - BOL.

Now, Mom, how about some treats as rewards for our good posing and for our excellent behavior yesterday through all the chaos?
