Tasty Tuesday - #ChewyInfluencer

It's Tasty Tuesday with your Chewy.com Chewy Influencers.  This month we decided to try something very new and different to us.  Mom says there is lots of nutrition talk out there about the benefits of bone broth (both for humans and dogs) as well as substantial health benefits from turmeric.  Mom always wants to do what is best for our health,  so she said, "Why don't we try this?"

Castor & Pollus Grass-Fed Beef Bone Broth (seasoned with turmeric).  Let's take advantage of the benefits of both turmeric and bone broth at the same time.

Some of the benefits from bone broth include:

    • supports joint health.
    • supports digestive health and soothes a compromised gut.
    • provides nutrients for a sick dog.
    • helps to boost the immune system.
    • offers relief from food and environmental allergies.
    • great for an upset tummy.
    • tempts picky eaters.
    • helps to detox the liver.

And there are a lot of very good reasons to add turmeric to your dog's diet.  You can read a good article about it HERE.  It has been shown to help as an anti-inflammatory for joint issues, as well as helping in several other areas of good health.  Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric and is found in the roots and bulbs of the Curcuma longa root. Curcumin has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and anticancer properties.  Mom has been making a paste from turmeric and coconut oil to help Lightning with his joint discomfort since his knee surgery.  With this product from Castor & Pollux, it will be very easy to add both benefits for all of us as needed.

We bet Angel Phantom would have benefitted greatly from the broth as he had joint issues, tummy issues, and cancer.

Chewy.com provides the following information:

This product may be fed daily along with a complete and balanced diet. Feed up to approximately 1/4 cup of PRISTINE Bone Broth per 10 lbs. of body weight per day. Close and refrigerate any unused portion and serve within 7 days after opening. Keep fresh water available at all times. PRISTINE Bone Broths are intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.

Mom poured some in a small dish so you could see what it looks like.  Each container has 8.4 oz. of broth, and there are 24 containers in the box.  Mom has been adding about 1/4 cup to our dinner bowl for a few days now.  We will probably use one box at a time, with a break in between.  She is always cautious about giving us too much of anything new all at once.  So we will get a bit more with each box.  We have the beef flavor bone broth with turmeric seasoning.  It is also available in turkey, chicken, and beef flavors without the turmeric.

So how do we like it?
 Lightning - clean bowl!!!

 Misty - ALL gone!!!

Timber - surely there has to be some more to be licked!!!

Let's just say that we lick our bowls clean - that bone broth is delicious.  We are ready for more, Mom.

We received this product at no cost to us from Chewy.com in exchange for a fair and honest review.  Thank you, Chewy.com - you gave us a chance to try something that not only tastes good but also provides us with some wonderful health benefits.

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  18. We ordered this too and the boys love it. I like it if they are hacking and I tell them to drink some water but they won't. I can pour some of this and it clears up their dry cough.
