Silly Mom, taking my picture with the sun in my eyes!!!
Mom, you need to remember my shades if you want a photo when the sun is shining so brightly.
There!!! That's much better.
Some of you have been wondering how I am doing. I am OK. There really hasn't been any change in my condition. Mom says she thinks that my second knee injury is now healed about as well as it it is going to get. There is a lot of popping going on in that joint when I walk, not all the time, but when I am too tired to walk any more, it sounds like there is a Fourth of July celebration going on inside my knee. I don't put a lot of weight on that leg, but I do try. I lost three nails on the other leg from dragging my feet. Mom made me wear socks for a while when I was outside so my paw could heal. It is better now, and the nails are very slowly growing back. The dragging is still there so the nails will probably break again. I don't like to walk very far when Mom takes me out on my leash, but she says I have to keep my joints moving. So she takes me out 8-10 times a day. I know it makes it hard for her with her busy schedule, but she says I am worth it. I continue to take my pain medication and joint supplements. Misty and Timber do a good job of keeping me company. I just wish I could go out in the yard to run and explore with them. I keep trying to sneak out with them when Mom lets them outside, but even as old as she is, she manages to keep me inside. So that's the scoop. Time for me to go rest up for my next stroll outside.
Woos - Lightning

ReplyDeleteHi Lightening, you have wonderfully caring Mom. It must be frustrating for you, but Gail and I think you should try to cooperate with her efforts to keep your aches and pains to a minimum.

You and your Mom are both in motion.

You look GREAT Lightning - even with the sun in your eyes. It's nice to see you and we're glad you are getting around but don't overdo it. I know your Momster is keeping your activity well monitored and that's for your own good dear boy so "keep to the plan" !! Happy to hear you're taking your supplements and meds too - it all goes to help keep you moving, happy, and loving life. BE GOOD!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
You're looking very 'fur-bulous' all the same. 😍
ReplyDeleteGood to get your news, Lightning. We are just wondering whether there is a facility anywhere around you that would have a aquatherapy pool? Would that help your joints and to get exercise without risking further injury?
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Ollie
Of course you're worth it! You do need to walk. Glad your mom is working hard on getting the walks in. There are worse things than socks, hope they work for your nails and paws.
ReplyDeleteLightning, sending POTP and your Mama rocks!

ReplyDeleteOh Lightning, we are so glad you are getting out for some strolls. You are looking mighty good. We know the Mom is exhausted but happy to go for little walks with you. Sorry we are late, but two cats had to go to the vet this morning and and they fine. Sissy got her stitches out from the eye. You all take good care.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your mom is doing a wonderful job taking care of you. XO
ReplyDeletewe want to send some pug kisses to your mom for taking such good care of you Lightning. Glad you are hanging there. Things have been pretty busy here, what with extra classes and then baseball and softball tournaments with the grands, we are late getting around.
