Indoor Surveillance by the Woos.
Are you wondering what we are all watching?
We want to show you, but first Lightning has to sit down. At least he still has a good viewing spot.
We have an intruder!!!
Look at that cheeky tree rat!!! He has been trying to take over our deck. He has been munching on all Mom's flowers and tomato plants. And to think she thought is was US!!! Then when he hears us coming out, he jumps on the deck rail and races up the big tree.
What happened, Mr. Pesky? Did you lose a seed or two?
Just you wait and see!!!
He LOVES the taste of our million bells, and even managed to kill one of the pretty begonias in the center. Mom had to pull it out of there. Next to that pot is one of Mom's tomato plants. So far he has not eaten any of the tomatoes, but Mom is working on a plan to keep him away.
This is the other tomato plant. If you look closely, you can see some red stuff on the leaves. Mom sprinkled some red cayenne pepper on it. Today she is going to get some hot pepper sauce and mix it with water and Dawn dishwashing liquid. She read online that misting the plants with that mixture will deter the squirrel without harming us.
These two planters have penta and lantana plants in them. They started out with lots of beautiful flowers, but then Mom noticed the flowers were all disappearing. Shame on her for thinking it was us. Now she KNOWS who the real culprit is.
Only a few flowers on this one.
And almost none on this one.
Lightning, tell Mom to let me out there. Timber to the rescue!!!
Misty says she will keep watch from the window.
Sheesh, now if only I had my restrictions lifted, I could chase that bugger away for good!!! C'mon, Mom - let me go try!!!
For now, we are going to keep watch from the viewing window. Hey, Mom - who are those three Sibes we see looking back at us?
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You sure were having a fun time watching that tree rat!
ReplyDeleteI would let you get him :)
ReplyDeleteWe can't believe that pesty squirrel is eating all those things and you all were getting the blame. If your mom just let one of you stay on the deck we bet he would never come visit your deck. Unfortunately it's probably too hot for that right now. If you bark from the window does that scare him off?
ReplyDeleteThat pesky little squirrel on your deck. How dare they do that. As long as all of you have a good view of Squirrel tv. Good job with scaring them off to protect your mom's plants. Thanks for the share. HAve a great weekend.

Between the Sibe Security patrol and mom's cayenne...I think the patio will be safe from those rotten tree rats!
ReplyDeleteOh My Woos what a pesky tree rat with the gall to get on your deck then get in your face shaky his tail.....Oh if he only knew the danger lurking behind the glass. Your deck is very colorful with veggies and posies.
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Thanks so much Woos for making the Mom smile big time. Our kitten, Sissy had to go back to the vet today because her eye that had to be taken out started bleeding like crazy. But she is home now and doing all right. So, you all have a great day and keep watching that squirrel.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe they all sit and watch like that. Keltic has a fit every time he sees a squirrel. I don't garden so there's not much for squirrels to eat in our yard, they do like to bury things though and I think they like pine cones.

ReplyDeleteWTD...??? The sheer audacity of that little tree rat!!! You keep focused you three (or is it six???) Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
He is a cheeky squirrel--one who thinks he's hit the mother lode! We think some outside Sibe duty would take care of things, but guess the heat is too much. At least the 'real' destroyer has been discovered.
ReplyDeleteStoopid bold squirrel! I hope you guys get his sorry butt next time you're out in the yard!
ReplyDeleteHow dare that tree rat eat the flowers and let you all take the blame! Eric and Flynn always kept the squirrels away from my plants.
ReplyDeleteHow dare he? And he is eating the flowers too. I say release the hounds and make that dirty critter pay for his misdeeds!
ReplyDeleteOMD!!! The Evil Squirrel Cartel really went above and beyond this time! Not only did he ruin mom's flowers, but he got you innocent pups blamed for it. Grrrrrrr! I cant wait to find out what happens when he gets a mouthful of that hot pepper spray your mom is making.
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely outrageous!!! I cannot believe that he had the nerve to eat your mom's plants and blame you!!!!!!! Evict him, Timber!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see that you are back :)
Well this Security Team certainly is keeping a close eye on that pesky intruder. I have this feeling he knows you can LOOK but you can't TOUCH. He's taking advantage and having a "deck buffet" !!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
I'm thinking that squirrel picked the wrong yard, one of these days that door will open and …
ReplyDeleteWe all know that squirrels are evil little buggers. I'm glad you're keeping an eye on them.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof day you three. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥
The squirrels get into all sorts of trouble around here. They even chew on the deck. Mackey and Sydney do their best to keep them under control.
ReplyDeleteLulu: "SQUIRREL!!!"
ReplyDeleteWe don't get those pesky tree rats around us - I guess Todd has convinced them. But we do get gangs of marauding deer that we could use your help with. Maybe we could work something out? :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a naughty tree rat!! Mom's daughter was just complaining about deer eating her pretty flowers so she got some deer repellent
ReplyDeletehugs

Great surveillance job!! The nerve of that squirrel..!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Maxx
I hope your momma has apologized for falsely blaming you Sibes for eating the plants!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a tree rat that is eating all Mom's expensive bird seed. She put up a squirrel baffle and he just laughed at her. Cheeky squirrel!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Hawwwooo, little varmint there has some nerve,
ReplyDeleteNuk
Tree rat, hahahaha! Mom is going to start using that expression too! I hope some of the tomatoes and flowers survive!
ReplyDeleteYour friend Kiki
Wow, that is a terrible trail of destruction. Is there just one tree rat or a whole plague of them?
ReplyDeleteOMD...Seems like squirrels across the country are conspiring against us!! We can't believe he tried to frame you for flower munching!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
What great pictures! Fingers crossed the tree-rat concoction works.
