My new best friend Tramadol Treat has had me in La La Land for a couple of days, but I am bright and alert now. Well, at least for some short periods. I spend a lot of time sleeping, but Mom says that is a very GOOD thing. I can keep company with TT for 10 days:)
I was very uncomfortable the past two days, more so than the last time. But I still manage to find a cozy position for napping:)
Mom says she is surprised that I find this to be a comfy position for my newly-repaired leg. That would be the one up against the cabinet.
Here you can see me outside on the front lawn for one of my mini-walks. I get to go all the way to the closest spot of grass from the front door. You can see I am quite the patchwork Siberian now. My left leg is now shaved in addition to the right one. I have a small shaved spot near my tail where the epidural was done. And I have a bigger patch near my neck where they removed a whopper of a cyst. Some incision photos follow if you are squeamish.
That's where the nasty cyst was.
And here is a look at my leg. Actually it isn't too bad to look at. Although I am pretty bruised there and there is some swelling, at least there is no drainage this time. The last time there was a lot, and that slowed up the stitch removal. I hope things stay looking good so I can get those staples and stitches out at the two week mark instead of having to wait three weeks.
Here is a very short video of me walking in from the front door and back to the kitchen. Slow and steady, but looking pretty darn good.
And now if you don't mind, I think I will go back to sleep for a while. I made it all the way to my cool tiles in the laundry room. Mom has foiled my attempts to get on the hearth by covering it with all sorts of things. But I told her I will soon be ready to grace the hearth again.
Thanks AGAIN for all the good thoughts and wishes. I think I am FINALLY on the road to becoming a REAL Sibe once more.
Dearest Warrior Princess Misty...THAT is not THUNDER you hear it was me jumping with glee...as I watched your video. MY WORD other than the shaved leg I would never have guess that was the surgical leg. You are doing so every very well. I do 100% expect the meds especially pain med is messing with you tummy. I'm wondering if the position at the cabinet with you leg up feels good you know like humans elevate their legs after surgicals too. Sending loads of hugs to my Woos, their nurse and Dad and to Human Brudder Chris...as he too recuperates. Much love and many hugs dear girl Cecilia
You look GREAT in the video, Misty! And we are glad you have TT to help you through the rough first days! We can't wait to se you running around again!
You're looking good Miss Misty. I'm so happy things are going well for you and that makes all of us happy and especially your wonderful mom. Keep up the good work and do what mom says.

You are moving really well already. Misty. I am glad you have good pain relief. Don't worry about all your bald patches, they will soon grow back once winter is on the way.

Misty, you are walking well. Things are looking most promising despite the patchwork of incisions. Just hang in there with your new friend TT, and you'll be back to full Sibe before too long. Toodle pip! Bertie.
BOL and MOL at least you were keeping your leg elevated (which is suppose to speed recovery, you smart girl you) and your sleeping position looked comfy to us.
We are so glad there is no drainage, healing purrs and POTP.
You are looking great Miss Misty! It's wonderful to see you walking. We are keeping our paws crossed that your incision heals quickly so you can get that cone off soon.

Her incisions look really good considering how soon after the surgery was performed. Impressive movement too! Well done, sweet girl. Keep up the pawsome progress!
Wow, that was quite a cyst! We are happy to know you are on the road to recovery, and that the road doesn't seem to be too long! Very nice walking video, Misty. Keep calm (has new meaning for you :) and carry on, pretty girldog!
Momma says our angel Cinderella was a Frankendog for a while but not to worry -- the scars tend to linger a lot longer on our pawrents' hearts than on us!
