Thankful Thursday

Today we want to join Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  It is important to take the time to remember and be grateful for the many blessings in our lives, small ones and big ones alike.

We can't say enough times how very thankful we are to be a family once again.  It is so good to have Misty home, and we hope that the love we all have for her will help her and us move beyond the misery of the months of sadness and difficulty she and we had during her absence of five months.

We are also so very thankful that Misty has now had both of her knees repaired. It will be so good when she has fully recovered from this second surgery and can begin to really enjoy life again.

We are happy to report that Misty is doing much better today.  No new drainage!!!  Her tummy is still off, but we think it is all the medications she is on.

Recently we mentioned that our human brother, Mom and Dad's son who lives in Texas, was going to have a very serious surgery.  That surgery happened on Monday, and we are so very happy AND most thankful to report that he is doing very well. For the past four months he has been dealing with a stubborn abscess in his intestines.  After many tests, medications, more tests, and more meds, the decision was made that a section of his intestines would have to be removed.  He had 13-14 inches removed, and after the surgery the surgeon said there was a massive hole in the intestine that was "stuck" to his abdominal wall.  He is one very fortunate and blessed man - this whole situation could have turned very ugly without warning.  He will be going home from the hospital this afternoon and will then have a 6-8 week recovery period.  God is good.  We are very hopeful for a successful and uneventful recovery.  Thanks to all of you too for your good thoughts and prayers.

We hope you all find reasons to be thankful today and every day.

  12. We are very thankful that everything is going well for you. POTP for continued healing. Poor Fenris, he has joined Misty in being a Conehead, but as he only had hotspots on his tummy and inner thighs should have a much speedier recovery. He is also sporting a shaved look.

  20. We are so very happy that Misty is perky and doing so well - nothing could have made us more happy than when she came home again but now we're even HAPPIER that she's had surgeries to fix up all of her issues. Hoping for smooth sailing now. Same for the Woos human brother - that is one major surgery and so happy that it's DONE and he's doing well. I know that had to be very difficult times until the surgery was done. We will hope for fast healing for him too!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy
