Awww Misty Monday

Timber and Lightning decided it was time to do something special for their sister since she is so very special.

So they decided to let HER wear the silly Santa hat - wasn't that so nice of them?

Seriously, we want to take the time today to say how very thankful we are every day for this sweet girl to be back home where she belongs.

Misty is fully healed from her two knee surgeries and as healed as she can ever be from the terrible experience she had earlier this year.  But as all dogs that are loved know, she seems to have put it all behind her.  She makes Mom smile every day.  When Mom gets up in the morning and comes to the kitchen where we all spend the night, Misty greets Mom as if she hasn't seen her in months. AND she does this EVERY morning.  How special is that!!!

Although this year has been a tough one for so many reasons, all the problems have been overshadowed by the joy of having Misty home, and we mean that with all our hearts.  We are so thankful to all our readers who worked their magic with the POTP and prayers, and especially to KB from Romping And Rolling in the Rockies and Kim from Golden Pines for all their behind-the-scenes encouragement and guidance through the whole process of getting Misty home.  We will be forever grateful to all.

Are you talking about me???

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

Note: We also want to thank River and Pocket of Small Tales and Angel Foley Monster for the beautiful tribute they wrote for our sweet little Piper.  Mom was hoping to have a new canary join us for Christmas to help with the caroling.  So far she hasn't been successful.  But thanks to our friends from Small Tales, we will still be getting that Christmas song.  Click HERE if you want to read their sweet words.

And of course, it is time to join the Awww Monday Blog Hop sponsored by Comedy Plus.

Getting Misty back was one of the good news stories that helped to balance the year... but wait, clearly I have missed some news about Piper... Oh dear, I checked back and it was on the days when things were otherwise here. So very sorry to hear that Piper no longer sings - here, at least. Heaven will be a little cheerier for his warbling! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  8. Thank you. We are glad you liked the blog. I know it has been a terrible year for you, and ended on a bad note, but we know you will pull through. Misty doesn't look real happy about the hat.

  11. We are also grateful Misty is home and know that soon the trauma of her separation will be but a distant memory. Lady also says the hat issue could be solved by getting 2 more hats - we told her this wasn't helpful!

  14. This is a special Christmas for Misty and all of you. Her return is the bright spot in a dark and frightening year. We're all thinking about you this holiday and sending you big hugs.

  15. Misty wearing a hat is an itty bitty priced to pay for all the love of your family and brudders and Wooful friends. Oh if we humans could learn the art of letting go of the past.
You wear the hat well. Hugs to you, Timber, Lightning and Mom. We hope you have a new Canary maybe by the New Year.
    Hugs Cecilia
