Sick and Silly Sibe Saturday with a touch of Caturday Art

Poor Timber thought he was a TimBird and ate a bunch of berries from the neighbor's barberry bush:(  He had Mom worried when she saw "pink and red" stuff in his vomit (sorry for the graphic description).  But then she realized it looked more like red berries than blood. She made a tour of the yard and found some branches sticking through the fence and the red culprits on the ground.

According to the vet, the berries aren't poisonous to dogs, but they can be big irritants to the tummy.  Thankfully a day of fasting, a Pepcid or two, and some TLC from Mom, Misty, and Lightning, he is doing just fine now.  Mom went out to pick up all the berries left on the ground and off the branches hanging in our yard, and then she cut the branches back.  Needless to say, her fingers are sore from all the prickles even through gloves.

But in the meantime, the Silly Sibe sought some comfort from his Big Brother Lightning.

What WAS he thinking??? :)

And now for a little Caturday Art with Misty:

  13. Poor Timber. We have lots of barberry in our yard but we've always left the berries to the birds. Lightning does make a good pillow but we think Timber's head placement could be hazardous if Lightning had a little gas. BOL! Misty's picture is cute too.

  23. Years ago, when we lived in a subdivision, we had Barberry bushes all along the edge of our property in the common area - and I worried about the dogs "foraging" in the berries because I thought they were poisonous. All that time worrying, and pulling the dogs out of the bushes, and I didn't have to! 😊

But I hope that Timber continues to feel better. Show him Misty's Caturday Art, that'll help too!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend - Sibe weather again in Virginia, MORE snow is predicted for tonight.
