HAPPY TUESDAY

One year ago today we did the happiest happy dance one could ever do. And here is why:

Our sweet girl came home after being away from us for five months.  Five months of misery for her and five months of sadness for our family.  Our sadness was infinitesimally worse once we found out in May what had actually happened to her.  If you want to read the story, you can go back in our posts and find the details in posts from 6/22 and 6/23 of last year.  We have moved beyond the nightmare that occurred. We are just thankful that a lot of effort, pleading, prayers, and money finally brought our baby girl home.  And today we ask you to join us in a day of joy and happiness as we celebrate the one year anniversary of her return home.

Happy Days are here again seems like a good earworm to get going:)

Misty has done incredibly well after undergoing surgery last summer on both of her back knees for CCL repairs.  She returned to a healthy weight after dropping 14 lbs. in the five months she was gone.  She is the sweetest girl and has been so happy to be back home. I (Mom) am the first one up here in the morning, and when I come into the kitchen to let the dogs out, without fail, she is at the gate with her tail wagging away and ready to smother me with kisses.  I get the same greeting every day, and it so warms my heart.

Always happy to be back on the deck with the caged flowers:)
