You may have heard that it is wild and windy here in eastern Kansas today. We have had 40 m.p.h. winds all day and gusts may get to 65 m.p.h. in the next few hours. It was trash day for us, and the neighborhood is littered everywhere. Just when Mom goes to pick up some litter, it gets blown away, and then something else arrives. Everyone, including Mom and Dad, have been busy battening down everything outside that could get blown away.
Wait a sec, Mom. Don't forget to bring me in or I might end up on the other side of the country:)
Last minute update: severe winds headed our way now.

Stay safe, guys. Paws and fingers are crossed!
ReplyDeleteWe had two windy days here too and it was awful. I'm glad you're all okay, but I'm sorry about all the garbage that got blown around. I hate it when that happens.
ReplyDeleteWe had a neighbor that put packing peanuts in their trashcan and they got blown all over the place. What a mess they were.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. ♥
Y'all hold on tight and be safe sweet Woos.

ReplyDeleteThose pesky winds are everywhere in the world... I am just glad the Hutch is sandwiched in two other layers of stone! Be safe you lot. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
It has been windy a lot here lately too.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting those winds too. Top gust last time that I checked was 93 mph. I rode my bike trainer indoors today, and I saw a very heavy metal patio chair go flying past. Then, our wheelbarrow headed east. Somehow, the power is still on, and no serious damage for us (yet). I hope that you fare just as well.
ReplyDeleteWe had some wild windy weather this past weekend. Our paws are crossed that you all stay safe from those crazy winds.
ReplyDeleteWe had that problem a few weeks ago. We are still finding trash.
ReplyDeleteoh we hope you were inside before the hard wind came... it's summer in Oz and you would miss da snow season. we cross our fingers and paws for all who have to meet that nasty storm....
ReplyDeleteStay safe from those winds!
ReplyDeletewe have had several bloggers report that those winds did come and most had only minor damage, I hope you are all ok and no damage to things or people or sweet wooos...
ReplyDeleteStay safe Woos. I thought I knew all about wind here in Scotland, but Gail tells me it can be even stronger in your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
We had those 40 mph winds yesterday, too. Plus it was 75 degrees so we prepared for tornadoes. We lost power for a couple hours but the worst weather stayed north and west of us. Still I'm operating on only two hours sleep today and hoping for calmer weather.
ReplyDeleteWE are crossing all paws that you will stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Ollie
I heard about the winds and the sand storms
ReplyDeleteI hope and pray they have passed
Hugs Cecilia
Did you send that wind special our way? We got it today, lost power too. The wind is still kicking here, hopefully it dies down soon. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteWe have been purraying for you guys!
ReplyDeleteIt has been super windy here too. Last weeknd we were 21 hours without power - luckily we have a generator!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "I hope you didn't blow away, Misty! We had a windy Tuesday here, too! Nothing like the Midwest, but we were missing a garbage can at the end of trash pickup day, and Dada eventually spotted it down at the corner of our road and the next street!"
ReplyDeleteWe hope you all were safe from those awful winds....and I'm SURE you Woos won't be blown away because your Mom would NEVER let that happen in a bazillion years!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
We had all paws crossed for you and the Woos ... (and many others) ... hoping you'd not wind up in the
ReplyDelete"land of Oz" ... such awful weather everywhere, and so destructive, stay safe good friends, hugs,
Ann and June

ReplyDeleteyesterday the panhandle looked more like the 1930's Dust Bowl!
stay safe and cozy. XOXO
We are expecting windy stormy weather tomorrow, too.
ReplyDeleteThose winds were something else, weren't they? I hope that's the end of that for a long time. We're still picking up blown trash but at least the rubbish bins didn't roll down the alley. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is crazy! Hope the storm passed without too much damage...
