Awww Monday

Today we want to give a shout out and big thank you to the wonderful peeps at Chewy.com.

Last December Mom bought one of these "nest" beds for us.  She thought only Misty would like it, but since she got a good deal on it, she bought it for all of us and said she would get more if we all liked it.  Misty did really like it a lot, but surprise of all surprises, Angel Lightning LOVED it.  Misty was always good about sharing it.  Lightning spent almost all of his last days in the nest.  It must have been so soothing to his achy bones.

Unfortunately as his condition worsened, he had several accidents on the bed. Mom was able to wash the exterior cover and get the odor out.  But the inside has two sections that are made of a very thin gauze-y material and stuffed with lots of fiberfill .  It really can't be washed in the washing machine without having it disintegrate. She tried spraying it outside in the yard and rinsing it with the hose.  But that didn't work well for the odor and all the fiberfill clumped up. She reached out to the Chewy folks to see if she could buy two replacements for the inside.  She couldn't find them on the website so she wasn't too hopeful.

BUT . . .

Look what they did!!!  They sent us a brand new complete nest bed at no charge!!!  As you can see, Misty is happy to have her bed back.  Mom had put another kind of bed in that spot, but neither of us would go near it.  It was Lightning's last resting spot and that was NOT the right bed.  Now that we have the bed back, albeit new, it is making us feel so much better.  Many thanks to a company who has the best customer service ever.  They asked us to donate the old bed to a shelter, but Mom says she can't do that with the condition it is in.  So we are going to donate the food that only Lightning ate to one of the shelters in our area.
