Timber: I like to cool off on top of the a/c vent in the floor.
Misty: That's OK, Timber. I prefer the cool tiles of the laundry room.

We have a portable ac in the living room and the bedroom has a window ac, which hasn't been installed yet. We prefer the fans until the temps overpower us. Ugh for the hot weather! Bring on Autumn!
ReplyDeleteKitties like it warm and sunny, so I don't much look for "cool", though sometimes I do go hide in the closet, it is cool, quiet and dark in there! I just hope you two aren't getting all those badbad "boomers and rains" and "rain like rocks" and windies and all that other stuff mine Mommy sees on the news. Sometimes I hear her say "oh noes, that's in Kansas where it all blows away to the Land of Oz"!!! If you go to Oz anytime, please be sure to come back home.

If it is hot and humid, a/c must be on. Nelson likes to sleep on cold tile floors too.

ReplyDeleteBeaus plan is AC house and as little time outside as possible, we walk now at 6:15 to beat the heat.. odd thing about Beau is he has never laid down on the tile, our is just like yours, cold or hot, he only lays on the carpet. now that we had to remove all throw rugs, he can't play in the kitchen and watch me cook, the rug is gone. he stands, with back legs spreadeagled and moves to the carpet but hates it because he can't see me
ReplyDeleteWe have no AC here in France but our house is built into a slope, so the downstairs stays pretty cool, even when it's hot outside.

My first collie, Lad, used to sleep on the vent when the AC was on…he was the only one to do it. Great minds Timber!

We have an air conditioner in the living room, than goodness! Fans in the other rooms.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it terrible? Supposed to be in the 90s here today---we have AC and fans and Mom just bought us cooling mats! And it's only June! Us huskies don't like this one bit! (And don't get us started on thunderstorms!)

ReplyDeleteIf I knew how to make a Mint Julep that is how I'd stay cool. But in lieu of that I'll make lots and lots of Sherbet and Ginger floats.
