An Ussie for you from US:)
It is a beautiful day here in Overland Park, KS, although a bit warm for us. Our temps are still in the upper 80s. Our Chiefs are playing a home game this afternoon against the Baltimore Ravens. We sure hope our team gets their act together and doesn't leave all the work to Patrick Mahomes. He is good but he can't do everything. Shoutout to June and her Mom for the best team to win - we know they love their Ravens as much as we love our Chiefs. And here is a Selfie from Misty who has some news and a request.
Hi to all my friends. Take a good look at me today because I am going into hiding after Wednesday. I am going to be sporting the dreaded cone AGAIN as well as some bare spots on my body. I have a very large and very firm mass on the back of my front left leg that appeared very quickly and grew very fast as well. The vet aspirated some cells to take a quick peek and he thinks it might be a tricoblastoma tumor. These are typically benign, but it could also be something more sinister, like a trichoblastic carcinoma tumor or a mast cell tumor, neither of which would be good. He said we could wait and see what happens with it, but the bigger it gets, the harder it will be to do a successful surgery. At the same time he is going to remove a cutaneous horn from the base of my tail that is really ugly. AND if all goes smoothly, he is going to remove a small growth from my eyelid. I have had lots and lots of lumps and bumps removed, mostly all sebaceous cysts. Mom says it has something to do with my auto-immune system. She is also hoping that the stress of the surgery and the pain meds they may give me don't aggravate my already difficult inflammatory bowel disease. I don't do well with ANY kind of meds at all. So maybe you could all send me a little bit of the Power of the Paw. I will let you know how things go, but I may not show my face:)

That is a lovely Ussie. The temperature has dropped to low 40s, but is nice and sunny. I am sending lots of good wishes for you Misty, for your surgery to go well, and with good results.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Sending prayers that all goes well. Getting old sucks! May the best team win!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fabulous Ussie. We're sending purrs and prayers out to Misty.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping the vet kicks this benign tumour (paws crossed) out of the park and into the Gulf of Mexico and beyond!!! You can do this. You and Mom and everyone will be FINE. OK?
ReplyDeleteWe weren't too far behind on the temps - my workmate said she saw 84 on her phone - she pitied the poor Iggles for having to go to H&H Florieduh - but they won - AND so did The Phillies!
ReplyDeleteWoo know you've got The Power of The Paw - and a Wiggle of my Willow end for you ALL -
We just checked the score - looking a bit better for your Chiefs!
BTW, we got two surveys because we had two transactions - rumor sniffed it that today's snack was Pumpkin Spice!

Well, kinda-sorta don't want to say this, but seems like the "best" - or at the very least, the "better" of the two teams did win yesterday. So congrats to y'all, a friendly (and loving rival). We couldn't see the game, everything blocked out, so weren't miserable over it ... meanwhile: many paws together in the days ahead for our beautiful Misty Girl. Trust she'll come through well, and handle her follow-up meds okay, too. Take care ... luv, meows and woos from Ann and June
ReplyDeleteLove your ussie and we will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers, Misty♥
ReplyDeleteWe are sending tons of POTP your way Misty!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
PeeEss...Your Chiefs played GREAT!
Dear sweet Misty Girl, Beaus sends paws of power, and crossed front feet and Mama sends prayers and hugs that all will go well and you will be your beautiful self soon
ReplyDeleteI don't follow NFL but here's hoping the Chiefs and the Ravens played their best game.
ReplyDeleteMisty I'm sending lots of purrs and hugs to you and your household as I know all are gonna be worried and I Timber will miss you.
Hugs Cecilia
We are sending you lots of healing thoughts, purrs and hugs, dear Misty xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful ussie!
Lulu: "Hello, my fluffy cousins! It is so good to see you!"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Sí, it is! But we are sorry to hear about Misty's troubles! We dogs send lots of tail wags her way!"
Chaplin: "And we cats send lots of purrs!"
sending you prayers and love good buddy
ReplyDeleteWe see you beat our Ravens, but Mom doesn't care because she doesn't follow football here in Baltimore!
ReplyDeleteBut we wanted to say good luck with the surgeries---we know how scary it can be. Rosie has a large mass with the same diagnosis on her back leg, but since she had a very bad experience years ago with anesthesia so she cannot have surgery without so much risk, so we are just hoping that it is benign. Praying that it is that way for your pretty Misty.
Your Friends Rosie and Redford
Just dropped in to see how Misty's surgeries went...sending healing hugs to her and You Kathie
