"Tears for a tail-wagging free spirit"

Such was the headline of a front page story today in the Kansas City Star. It tells the "tail" of what we will call a homeless pup, rather than a stray, who was dubbed with the name "Reba" by a wonderful and loving lady. According to the story, Reba was a dog "who in life was never petted, never touched. Yet one who touched many with her death." Here is Reba.

Her story is heart-wrenching but at the same time heart-warming. If woo would like to read about this "glint of red fur in the brush," please click here.

Such a sad story. We cannot even begin to imagine what life must have been like for Reba. Here at our home, we always have food, shelter, and lots of fun. Stories like Reba's really make us understand how fortunate and loved we are. As Thunder will show woo below, we always feel someone's loving touch.

Thanks, Mom, that feels sooooooo good.

Woos, the OP Pack

  8. Oh yes, my mom says all the time that I don't know how good I have it since I demand food and such. I really do know, but I just like to keep her on her toes.

  19. Thanks for sharing the story, OP Pack! You know, I was a runaway until the CatcherMan got me and took me to the shelter. I was there for 3 months until my Mom found me and gave me a good home. It was scary because I am still scared of storms, and the dark. We who get rescued are the lucky ones.

    Kisses,
    Stella
