It seemed like forever since we had a walk, so we just stared the Momster down in hopes she would get the message.

Pee Ess from Mom: Some of you have asked how Phantom is doing - overall pretty well. He gave us a scare when he refused to eat for almost three full days starting last Thursday. He ate nothing despite my many attempts to entice him with all sorts of tasty bribes. Finally on Sunday he started to eat. I will never figure him out.

Oh yes...woo sent us YOUR weather! Mom MADE me khome in and she's already told me we won't be going fur a walk until after 7 or so!
She took some pikhs last night after Merdie and I got bakhk from our walk - she looked at them and saw some BIG tongues!

oh you kiddos, we're glad that your mom took you for a walk, even though it was really hot. you have a lot of fur to be hanging around in the heat. you are lucky to have a cool air machine in your house.

it's awfully hot here too!!!!!! When we got in on Saturday I dropped on the cool hardwood floor right where to cool airs were blowing and I didn't move for hours - Mom got worried that I was sick - but I was just tired from all that work I had to do to make her look good. I'll tell those UT gals to watch out for U Conn - but........well, you know I gotta pull from my Lady Vols - even tho daddy is a Bulldog!

Wow, I don't know how you can stand the heat with those heavy fur coats on. I prefer to see you napping in the A/C house :) It just looks more comfie.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Phantom started eating -- that would have scared us too! When we drove out to California in 2002, Trixie didn't poop for the entire trip -- three or four days at least. In Dallas we stopped to get her checked out and the vet said she was probably just holding it because of the traveling. Sure enough, as soon as we got to California, she went out in our new backyard and christened it!

It is way too hot here too and Mommy only lets me out outside when she gets up in the morning adn after dark at night. We got NO shade in the backyard at all so it is so nice when we can go to Aunt Judy because it is si cool there.
ReplyDeleteMommy's cried & cried when she first read the story. It is very true that not all dogs in rescue groups came from bad situations, thats why its so important to get them into forever homes quicky. Most owner surrenders are tramatic for both the owners & the dogs.

ReplyDeleteI don't get to go walkies until after supper, when the sun goes down a little. Its 81 right now and forecasted for the 90s tomorrow. That may not be a big deal for you southers but its waaay hot up here!

Tsar is part Husky and has always been a picky eater. My vet tells me that a lot of Huskies are. Have you found this to be a problem?
ReplyDeleteok so we would have to wait til November if we had to wait til it wasn't hot. its getting pretty tiring but we love our winters so it is worth it. glad to hear the overall status.
