Rut roh? What is happening here?
See, TD, I told you a nap wasn't a good idea!!!
According to the weather guys, it is just going to get worse. We have warming temps, and we may even hit the 50's (F) next week. Our silly Mom is exuberant because she says she might actually be able to take in the outside Christmas lights. Lights? Who cares about lights? We want our snow back.
Meanwhile we need to give thanks today to the pups and kitties at Jan's Funny Farm for passing along this great award to us. Thanks to all of you at JFF from us.
This award was created by The Scholastic Scribe to celebrate their 200th post, in 2008. To read about the Superior Scribbler Award, go to their award information page.
Of course there are rules to follow with this award:
1. Each Superior Scribbler (SS) must pass the Award on to 5 deserving blogger friends.
2. Each Superior Scribbler must link the author and name of the blog from whom he/she received the award.
3. Each Superior Scribbler must display the award on his/her blog and link to the post which explains the award.
4. Each Superior Scribbler is asked to visit the post which explains the award and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List.
5. Each Superior Scribbler must post these rules on his/her blog.
OK, we did follow some of the rules, but as for the rest, we have already seen this award at lots of blogs, so if you haven't already received it and would like to have it, please take it and make us happy to be able to share it with you.
And while we are on the topic of giving thanks, the tragedy in Haiti reminds us of how fortunate we are to have the wonderful life that we have. Our hearts go out to the families of all who have suffered in any way from the horrible earthquake. Right now, we are watching rescuers try to dig a little girl out by hand. It is heartbreaking to listen to the young child crying in the background. If you can find a way to help, we encourage you to do something, anything, to help these people. Even a little prayer would be wonderful.

Your snow is leaving? How rude, it's still the middle of winter.. It's getting warmer here, too, but still nicely below freezing. Maybe your should make your mom get yourselves a freezer and stock up on snow? (Mom keeps telling me that's not MY freezer.. she's got no clue.)
ReplyDeleteBajas
The horror, the horror!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award.
That situation in Haiti is heart breaking. Congrats on your award.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award!
ReplyDeleteI have lots of the green stuff over where I am, and none of the white stuff. Maybe the hot air from my area is spreading out to the world? Oh no! What will happen to all the white stuff when it all disappears???
Sonic
Our weather is warming up here too, but we can't see any green yet. I hope you get more of your favorite white stuff soon...but don't send it over to me :)
ReplyDeleteWe're listening to the news about the earthquake, and it's very very sad. I hope the help can get to the people (and animals) soon.
I can see your snow is disappearing but I am sure it will come back soon!
ReplyDeleteThe weatherman told us to be careful too because we will have temps below zero!
And that does not sound good to me!
We are so sad for the people in Haiti. We made a donation through the Red Cross.
Take care

Oh no...your snow is melting! That'll be a nice mess for taking walks in. Congrats on the Scribbler Award. Nice complement.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the Haiti earthquake. It sure puts things in perspective, as any such disaster should. We have many blessings to be thankful for. There is a non-profitgroup on facebook called "Causes" that our mom went to to donate to Samaritan's Purse for Haiti.
X-BabyRD & Hootie

It is warming up here, too - 30s. Can't see grass but our lovely, white snow is getting all gray and icky looking...sigh. BUT, I know we'll have more snow before this winter is over because I know this part of Michigan and spring is NOT just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the horror of Haiti and feeling truly blessed. I looked around my home and felt overwhelmed by all that I have compared to those that live in such a poor country.
I thought the only color snow was supposed to be besides white is yellow! What's up with the green snow. I sure hope it goes back to white soon.
