As many of you have also experienced, we have had lots of rain lately. But Wednesday Mom got phone calls one after the other from both of our human sissies getting all excited about something up in the sky. This is what we had the joy of finding in Overland Park after another round of torrential rain.
If you look very closely, you can see that it is a double rainbow. Mom isn't so good with the flashy box but it was just so beautiful.
Here is another view. It was really fun to see.
And speaking of fun, we have a new fun furiend who comes to visit us almost every morning at daybreak. Look!
This photo is taken from the back of our yard at the fence line. Mr. Fox is only about 15 feet from the fence.
He even looked right at Mom. He has no fear of us or humans. In fact if you listen in the video below, you will hear the Momster carrying on a conversation with a neighbor on the opposite side of the fox and he just continues grazing.
And more fun - who is this happy little guy?
And why is he so happy?
Yes, it is Brady Bear, the youngest of the grandbipeds, and he turned one yesterday!
He must be part dog because he just loves to play with all kinds of balls. Here he is with his Mom, our human sister.
It is so hot and humid here that we are spending lots of time inside. We have been spending a lot of time inside where it is much cooler.
Thunder decided to move away from his cool vent in the background there so you could all see how nice he looks since he had a day at the spa last week.
Ciara says she didn't need a day at the spa to make her beautiful:)
Phantom had his spa treatment yesterday and was more than happy to share the results in yesterday's post. But he knows there are thunderstorms somewhere in the Kansas City area and has retreated to his cave for most of today. This was the best photo he was willing to share today.
This is about the best thing to do now while we wait for dinner.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

Hello Phantom, Thunder and Ciara :D
ReplyDeleteOh look at that likkle hooman! such a beautiful smile! Babies are lovely!
We have never had a Spa treatment! Should we be happy or sad about that?
your pals,
Digby and Delta
Happy Birthday Brady!
ReplyDeleteI hope there was some Sibesnacks for the celebrations?
Looking pretty as ever Ciara, I sure am jealous of that cheeky Mr Yak!
I don't blame the hiding from the storms, we don't have thunder (not TD) very often and I think I've heard it about 4 times ever but it is scary.
Its chilly outside, so I am inside too! Although mum says I could use a day at the spa...
Happy weekend!
Spa day is just the ticket in the hot weather. Cool you right down and leaves you all clean and fresh.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
The canines are looking gorgeous! Thunder - wow, what fur you have. And, Ciara, you need to learn some humility :) even if it's true that you're so beautiful that you don't need a spa treatment!
ReplyDeleteLove the red fox. They are amazing critters. A study showed that it took only about 10 generations of selectively breeding super outgoing ones to make them behave a lot like domestic dogs. They seem to have a gene for being comfortable around humans.
In any case, GREAT photos!
Thanks for sharing your rainbows with us. That red doggy was eating grass like a cow! BOL My mom says she saw one of those foxes the other day when she was driving to Walmart. He was running along some train tracks after a rabbit.
ReplyDeleteWaggles,
Bijou
Wow, lots going on at your house!!!
ReplyDeleteDouble rainbows are special...hope you made wishes!
Mr. Fox looks sneaky to us, don't turn your back on him...

You must be getting all the rain, it's pretty dry here. It is hot though and we stay inside most of the time.
ReplyDeleteCiara is losing the puppy look and now looks like a grown up doggie.
Happy birthday to Brady Bear! What a cutie he is!
ReplyDeleteWe've seen many foxes on our walkies. There seem to be an awful lot of them this year!
Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
That rainbow was really so very pretty! And I can't believes you have a fox for a neighbor! I could tell that you guys sure did want to play with him but he didn't seem very interested. That must've been some GOOD grass he was grazing on.
ReplyDeleteAnd happy birthday to the little human bean. He's a cutie patootie!
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie

Hey! If you need a couple of fox terriers to flush out that foxy dude, let us know. We can try to route ourselves through OP on our way home. We've never chased a fox, but it'd be fun to try!

ReplyDeleteAwesome photos! And a full double rainbow - how lucky to see one! Wonder if there was a Frenchie at the end of that rainbow too... How cool that you have a fox visitor - we see them rarely, but only quick glimpses. They whelp babies in the woods next to us every spring, and the crazy noises those kits make - sounds like aliens are living in there!

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday dear Brady Bear. you must be a very special hooman pup. loved the pictures...so beautiful.
ReplyDeletewags and lots of licks,

My Momma said that rainbow was the bestest one she ever did see. I didn't get to see it, they left me at home. She was most impressed by the vibrance of it. Loved catching up with you guys. It is funny, seeing Ciara in some photos she looks so big but in others she still looks like a little puppy. Is she having the surgery soon? I'm sure she has no intention of wearing panties again!
ReplyDeleteSnuggles,
Twix
