The Trials and Tribulations of Phantom
First it was this thing.
Then last week they tried something new to stop me from scratching my face.
Think it worked? Not really, I am a sibe, and I can figure things out very quickly. There was no way that sock was staying on my foot no matter how much tape she tried to use.
But as you can see, my face is healing. After I roughed it up a few more times (well, OK, a lot more times), I finally decided the pain wasn't worth it, so I stopped.
Here's my better side.
And the somewhat better side.
Not so bad this way.
One of the Pack
Two of the Pack.
And you guessed it, Three of the Pack.
And so you might be wondering, why so somber?
I have a new ouchie:( And that meant another trip to the vet. Somehow I managed to cut myself without anyone seeing it. By the time Mom found it over the weekend, she was convinced it was a nasty hot spot. It was really ugly so I will spare you the gory pics; this one is the good one with things really starting to heal. The vet said it is not a hot spot, but it looks like I snagged myself on something sharp and it got infected. Now they have shaved me in a new spot, AND I had to get two injections, AND now I have to deal with the Momster ramming pills down my throat for two weeks. I know, it would be a lot easier to cooperate, but that's just not me. At least they aren't making me be a conehead again (so far).
So I don't have any smiles for you today and Mom isn't very smiley either. But I do have a few other smilers around here to perk this post up a bit. Enjoy.
Some of you know why TD has a big smile on his face.
What? What did I do? Just doing what comes naturally.
Is that my dinner you have there?
Just keeping an eye (and a couple of paws) on my gardening.
Ha - how is this one for some happy faces - the twins do try hard to cheer up the Momster.

Oh, you Sibes are driving us humans crazy. Couldn't you cooperate just a little when it's for your own good? We had a run to the vet this morning for Mr Tsar's infected nose. It's not going to stop him from poking it where it doesn't belong.

Oh Phantom. Muzzer says you seem to be even more injury prone than I am. We always have a good relation with our vets...people who leave lots of green monies with them are welcomed, and told to come back often.
ReplyDeleteWe hope you heal up quickly. And we do thank you for the smiley faces..we came to visit you right after we read that Petey's cat-bro Mica had crossed the bridge, and muzzer needed a few flickers of a smile.
kisses on the owies from Teka and best of luck with the pill stuff from Gussie.
pee ess...I am a pill pro...but I do like a bit of peanut or cashew butter. Oldest trick in the book, and muzzer falls for it every time!

Phantom, you have as many shaved spots as Quinn does! Glad that the new infection isn't hot...and that your face is finally on the mend. Don't change a thing about your stubborn unique self...it is what we love about you!
ReplyDeleteCiara, Quinn wants to share his first ever just for him award with you. He says you will understand how important firsts are. When you get the chance, please visit our blog.
Thunder, thanks for your happy balanced nature. You make momma smile.
Oh poor Phantom, you really are in the wars aren't you? I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling after seeing those smiles at the end! Phantom, I think you like to just keep your Mom on her toes, but I think you need to find a better way to do it! One that's less painful and lets your mom keep more treat money around for you.
ReplyDeleteBunny
We were so happy to see you without the cone and out with the pack and then oh noes! Another ouchie? Phantom, we just want you to get all healed up - and stay that way!
ReplyDeleteThunder, Ciara and little beans - you all have very cute smiles!
The twins are very cute. We loves their smiles.

Guess what the GROOMER refuses to cut my nails ever again!!!!!!! I liked the bath though, so she can do that again. ~Fenris
Mom saw your comment and is sorry momster is in a funk but totally understands. For her Fall is kind of a bittersweet happy/sad time.
ReplyDeleteAnyway we DID see yesterday's comment but mom is MAKING me share the good news about Quinn's award with all the friends he wants to share with...something about it being good for me to be gracious and humble and let my brother shine...go figure!
Oh Phantom, I am so sorry you are going through all this discomfort! Just take those pills so you get well soon! And keep looking at those smiling faces, they will cheer you up!

peeess: I want a little boy playmate so could I trade you Ali Z for the little twin boy. I would take good care of him and we would have lots of fun.
Phantom, you certainly have had a rough go of it lately.
ReplyDeleteI am getting about ready for bed, so when I go I am going to cross my paws for you to get totally well and owie free !!!
You surely do have darling twins. I'll bet they are making your momster smile all over the place.
Laughing - we were all set with a comment and scrolled down to enter it. What is our word of the day? bowma.
ReplyDeletePhantom - Just bow, ma, and I MIGHT consider taking the pills.
Oh dear. This really needs to stop, wouldn't you say? How about you stop hurting yourself and turn that frown upside down? Oh, I know you're not really frowning, but I don't know if "somber look" rhymes with anything.
ReplyDeletelotsa healing licks, Lola
Oh dear! Phantom please get better! You are having such a time of it and I know your mom is too. Please get better!!! The three of you are so beautiful and the twins are so very cute!! We are sending you lots of love and healing vibes Phantom! Our friend in Florida that reads your blog just loves you and is sending you vibes also. She tried to write but it wouldn't go through for some reason. She's not a blogger but has a website. We loves the pictures and Phantom...you just stop it please get better!!!! Lots and lots of love, Debbie and Holly

Those are all very beautiful smiling faces! Phantom, you're a rockin' bad boy getting yourself in all kinds of scrapes! And yes, your scars are going to be way cool for the ladiez! But now your mom needs a little break, so please please just let yourself heal and take your meds with a healthy side of cheese like the very good boy you truly are. :)

We is so furry sorrys 'bout your boo-boo. Handsome dudes don't need to have bad boo-boos. Our momma would like to know how come your yard isn't full of holes that you digged. Scout digs lotsa' holes and he ain't no Sibe. So, we would like a bloggy post about Sibe holes to China or are you one of those Sibes who doesn't dig - yeah, right...
ReplyDeleteOh Phantom, so sorry you got hurt again. Feel better and heal quick! You are handsome with or without the cone, but no more injuries!
ReplyDeleteThe twins are beautiful!
So many ups and downs for you. I was so happy to see Phantom with the pack early in the post. He looked happy! But then that terribly owie. At least he doesn't have to be a conehead. My fingers are crossed that he heals quickly.
