Yesterday was the most beautiful day here in OP, Kansas - temps in the 60s, little wind, blue skies, and low humidity - what more could we want other than maybe some snow? Today we are going to share a few photos of our fun outside.
The family patriarch, clean paws, no digging, just supervising the pack.
The resident pest - how can she still do this - she isn't THAT small!! And yes, that IS a piece of the mulch that she is trying to get.
The duo checking to see if the rabbits were visiting while they were inside.
Why are you looking at me like that? I am just relaxing here surveying my garden. See, my paws are still white. Looks like the hosta might be trying to make a comeback. (I really thought I had removed that last year.)
Hmmm, still smells like that same one.
Thinking really hard what my next step will be.
See, Mom, it's not ME, I am way over here in the grass being a very good boy.
No worries, Mom. I have my eyes on her. I will defend the hosta against the pest.
**********
It truly was a gorgeous day - hope those skies return tomorrow.
The sun has set - here I am at my favorite spot - a cool night with the door open and the breeze passing through my furs.
And TD - well, he is very tired from his day in the sun.
And the Un-Gardener - zzzzzzzz - who knows what is passing through that furry head.
We just realized this is our 600th post.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Thank woo for sharing such a beewootiful day wif us! I thinks the "Pest" has the right idea....harooo!!

Ciara, we are very disappointed that you had no inklings to dig in the mulch. Maybe Phantom's guarding was too much for today. Next time. Next time.

ReplyDeleteOK, Teka suggests that Miss Ciara get some gardening gloves, that way her paws will stay clean when she gives into temptation and digs up the Hostas!
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful to see the green grass again! We had a beautiful day on Friday, it was almost too hot for the dogs at 80 degrees, but we did our best to speed as much outside without getting overheated! The warm weather only last for a day and now it is back in the 40's! Oh well!

How did that mulch escape the yard? I hope that Ciara brought it back to heel.
ReplyDeleteAnd, maybe Ciara has grown up enough that she was actually guarding the hosta?? :)
Speaking of snow, more than a foot fell overnight here with more on the way. We can send you some if you'd like!
600 posts. Congrats! Lucky us!
A lovely day indeed....will you pls come guard my hosta from the pesky deer?
ReplyDeletexoxo
It looks like everyone enjoyed your lovely day. Spring is definitely here. I love your pack. The more I see of them, the more attached I become. Congrats on 600
ReplyDeleteWow! Congratulations on your 600th post! We always enjoy visiting, to see you beautiful sibes and so Moma can return to more OP memories. We hope your gorgeous day and sky returned on Thursday. We woke up to white ... ground and sky. A thick cloud hung over us for hours, and now the sun is out, the sky is blue, the snow is gone and the grass is BEGINNING to resemble your lush thick lawn. (No hostas, though. Only a few daffodils poking up here and there.)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day. We're sure you will.
Jake and Fergi
600 posts... wow that is a lot...
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all these nice posts with us ;)
By the way, how can you be surprised if Princess Ciara is such a great gardener... she is a woman after all.. she adores flowers :)!!!
Well, the point is that... a garden has to be fun, one way ... or the other!!!!
I make the most of it myself too!!! specially because my garden is all spotted....like pois... but not with paint... well you know... ;) something I do makes the grass disappear and it takes ages to grow again!!!!!!!!
Let's see what happens in the new garden... eh eh eh
Ciao Lucille
Happy 600th!! What a beautiful post to celebrate!!! Even if you didn't have snow. ;)

Mazel tov on the 600th post! What a lovely day to celebrate the occasion. Does Ciara ever try to dig under the fence to get out of the yard? Abby would dig through like hot steel through butter. That's why our far less attractive chain link fence is ever uglier due to the inner lining of concrete blocks held down by iron rebars, to stop her digging. Beautiful house, beautiful yard! Sigh.
ReplyDeleteJed & Abby
Congrats on hitting #600. I don't think you should turn your back on the lady gardener. She seems to be too interested in those hosta buds.
ReplyDeleteWow! You have such lovely GREEN grass! Can you come do that to ours?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 600 posts! Wow! That's a LOT!
The Road Dogs
What a wonderful day! I think there's always those one or two perfect days of the year that seem too fleeting. Wonderful pics of your gorgeous babies. Congrats on your 600th post - that is an amazing milestone. We can't wait for 600 more :)
