Some of you may remember the "no-sibe zone" fence that the Momster put up this summer. You can read about it HERE. She had to take it down when the roofers were here in July, but she did manage to put it back up again when they were finally done cleaning up the mess she made. The fence is made up of a whole bunch of sections that she laces together with these cable ties.
She uses one at the top and bottom where two sections join together so that it makes the fence sturdier and prevents us from knocking it down. Well, since we hadn't even tried to go in the no-sibe zone, she thought she would skip putting the ties back on after the roofers finished because she knew there was more work to be done. There were going to be workers installing new gutters and downspouts, some repairs to the landscape areas, and a new paint job for the whole house. So rather than waste her time putting all those ties back on, she just set up the fence, knowing she would have to take it down or at least parts of it a couple more times. All was going quite well for her, and not so great for us because we couldn't figure out how to get in there. Well, not until ONE of us decided there was a way to do it.
Yep, Mr. Thunder Dunder has breached the no-sibe zone, and he has done it many times. He is the only culprit, and he has been caught red-pawed many times. Just in case any of you doubt this, here is video proof.
Pretty clever use of the body, eh?
"Where there is a will, there is a way. Yes, I could have easily jumped the silly fence, but I needed to conserve my energy for my hunting expedition."
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Pee Ess, please ignore the dead shrubs you see and the patch of dirt. Those trees were totally fried by our summer heat as were many in our area. They will all be removed and replaced in the next few weeks as a new patio area just for us pups is going to be installed. Mom keeps saying something about no more muddy feet.

Thunder, are you part rottweiler? In our language NO means something like, well, see if you can do it without hurting anything... You could be an honorary rottie. We give nice kisses...
ReplyDeleteYou guys are some pretty wise puppies...
ReplyDeleteWoof!! Great
ReplyDeleteJob thunder!! Way to
Goo!! Love how u manage
To get out of there and exploring ard! :)
OH. MY. FREAKING. DOG!
ReplyDeletesigh. (shaking head.) I'm not surprised. Sibes laugh in the face of barriers. I leave juno out at night while i watch TV and now and then i get the urge to "check" on her because i know she's capable of escaping anything.
Thunder, you do your breed good with breaching like that!
Oh that's funny. A little squirty fence to keep you all off the garden. Actually we only have a squirty chicken wire fence to keep us in our whole yard. Don't tell mum but we like to stay in the yard. Its more fun. Hehehe.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, and love, Stella and Rory
That was one slick move, Thunder! What a great spot for nap time when you don't want to be bothered!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
Too funny and very very clever! : )
ReplyDeleteGood job figuring out how to enter the no dog zone because seriously, who is going to do daily inspection if not you?
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
That is one smart move Thunder.
ReplyDeleteLove Ruby & Penny
TD looks mighty proud of himself!!
ReplyDeleteThunder we are so proud of you, we thinks you must be part cat. There is no such thing as a no cat zone. ~Socks, Artemisia, & Scylla
ReplyDeleteBeing an obedient pup I would never go where I wasn't suppose to, unless the cats knocked the fence down first, then it is their fault. I stay in the kitchen and dining room with the baby gate just laying across the door until Scylla knocks it down BOL ~Fenris
It sounds like this (BAM) Mommy: Scylla!!! Hi Fen, did Scylla let you out? (Then Mommy is usually to lazy to put me up so I get to sit in the study on the carpet by her.)
Way to go Thunder Dunder.
ReplyDeleteGussie
You are very, very clever...
ReplyDeletepawhugs, Max
Didn't I tell you it woz just a matter of time, hehehehehe.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! He's acting like he does this all the time. I was so sure it was Sweet Ciara who found the breach in fencing.
ReplyDeleteWe use those zip ties lots.
OH,,,it did it again, they blinked at me. It must be the way my browser loads the picture or something.
Smoothly done :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, isn't young Lightening growing fast, what are you feeding her on :-) ? What ever it is, she's looking rather beautiful.
That will teach her to skip a step!

Love the use of the body, and the way that the fence snaps back into place so that the momster can't even tell how you got in! Now, if you could just figure out a way to clean those red paws, you could sneak in without a trace!
ReplyDeleteWho'd have thunk that Ciara would be the goody-four-paws?
Sissy actually has a command "Problem-solve!" I think SOMEONE could teach the class...
ReplyDeleteGood job Thunder, BOL
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Seriously, that fence is 'chicken feet'. Escape artist is our middle name. Wahahaha!
ReplyDeleteThunder - that was one smooth move!
ReplyDeleteStewey
Hey Thunder!
ReplyDeleteWow, great job of breaching the zone! I think it's important to remind the peeps that we can go where we want, when we want. You didn't dig up any shrubs in there, so what's the harm in visiting?!?
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
That is too funny!! That is totally Haylie - she kept breaking through my temp fence with zip ties, I saw her do it one day and was shocked! They are so smart.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show you that no barrier is totally "sibe proof". Welcome to the Houdini club Thunder!
ReplyDeleteMy....you are amazing, my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so glad I'm not the only one that has a "bad" dog!! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that muddy feet thing!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed what a small space Tsar can squeeze his big body into. Of course, Tsar is 60% hair, but still.
Ohhhh.......... Thunder you are so smart! but you went and got caught! darn it!
ReplyDeleteThunder, you are so clever to find a way into the supposedly No-Sibe zone! We can't wait to see your new patio area just for you!
ReplyDeleteWe certainly were not shocked at the security breach, but we were shocked, shocked, shocked at some suggestion of no more muddy paws. What is the point in that?
ReplyDeleteOMD!
ReplyDeleteWell Thunder, I thinks you need to change your name.
Yep, I do believe that the name...
SLICK suits you much better! BOL
woos, Tessa
How nice of the Momster to put a little mental puzzle out there to challenge you, Thunder! I figured Lightning was going to be the one who had breached the No Sibe zone, but I should have known better!
ReplyDeleteBunny
Way to go Thunder! You are so clever and we must say, smooth!
ReplyDeleteYou just had to inspect the no sibe zone, right?
Love,
Piappies Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Pai, Wai-Max & Forgie
Way to go Thunder!!!!! Very good form.
ReplyDeleteRemy and Flash
MOL Mum and I laughed at how easy you made it look and your expression saays it all. Clever woofie indeed.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteWho knew that sibes could be as slinky as kitties?
ReplyDeleteFence?! Fence!?! We don't need no stinkin' fence!! BOL!!
ReplyDeleteAnd good thought mom, but there will ALWAYS be muddy paws!! MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! :)
Thunder, I just love how you did that without wasting any of your valuable energies!
ReplyDeleteSuper JOB THERE Thunder!!! I am very much PROUD of YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteMom says she knows first hand that those Sibes are HOUDINI dogs!! There is no keeping them in or out of where they choose to be!!
ReplyDeleteThat's telling 'em, Thunder!
AROOOOF!
Boondocks & The Love Shack Pack
Sorry, but I had to laugh...I gave up w/ fencing a few years ago. :)
ReplyDeleteYour Barberries look better than mine....I didn't trim them this year and they are a dried up mess!!!
Hugs and belly rubs to all!
Go Thunder!! That was great use of energy conservation!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory, Jakey and Bilbo
Where there is a will, there is a way!
ReplyDeleteYours,
One day, your mum will learn. One day.
ReplyDeleteThunder....can you get any more sneaky? You got through without even knocking down the fence!
ReplyDeleteBOL
Thunder.... BOL!! I've been catching up on blogs, finally! After some sad posts, it was great to see your smiling, mischievous face! Love the new (to me!) header photo!
ReplyDeleteWags,
Zona
Very, very clever Thunder!! We love it!! We would have thought fur sure that that Ciara would be the culprit!!
ReplyDeleteLove that Sibe innocence!! :)
It doesn't surprise me to see TD doing the NSZ checking. After all, he is second in command and Phantom probably gave him his permission.
ReplyDeleteThey get their OWN deck? All to themselves? Some spoiled pups is all I have to say.
Kisses,
Stella
OH OH!
ReplyDeleteSomeone got caught! I wonder who???
love
tweedles
The problem was that momster challenged you with "No" instead working proactively as your team coach to accomplish a mutually desired goal... at least that's what the speaker at the seminar dad went to on motivating students would have said.
ReplyDeleteJust look at that sweet innocent face! Besides, someone had to make sure there were no critters hiding under those bushes!
ReplyDeleteBravo Thunder! You showed them there's no such thing as a Sibe-free area.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Thunder is VERY smart! But HOW could anyone stay mad at that cute face??? xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
ReplyDeleteJust look at you, Thunder, strolling along as suave as you please! I think the CIA should recruit you! :-)
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Well, if they're gonna follow you around with a video camera, might as well give 'em something to tape, right? And if they think it's cool enough to capture on camera, then it must be okay, right?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your new private patio! Hmpfh... maybe you should make it a no-human zone. Just sayin . . .
The Road Dogs
Hi, my comment is not on, so with me arthretic paw I will do it again.
ReplyDeleteThat was Phantom on one film playing with puppy
Lightnig was'nt it.
Such great photos as always, they are beautiful looking dogs.
Thunder you are such a naughty boy. I love how he just takes his time and acts like he isn't doing a thing wrong, haha.
