Saturday Showing

Today we are going to show you another of the new items at our home.  

Mom has always used a plastic runner to protect the edge of the carpet and the floor from our muddy feet.  But that runner had pointy teeth that scratch the floor.  We had to use the one with the pointy teeth so that the runner would stay put on the carpet or else Mom would slide and fall.

Now we have this new carpet runner that was custom made.  It is four feet wide and 18 feet long.

 When Mom was selecting the new carpet for the rest of the house, she met the man who does the binding on area rugs.  Guess what?  He has a Siberian too.  He told Mom he could make her a custom-sized runner with a special binding that would hold the runner in place on both the carpet and the floor.  He has muddy feet issue at his home too:)

 So Mom found a salvage remnant of carpeting that wasn't too dark or too light and that was the right size.  The best part is that it was very reasonably priced.  The nice man and his wife cut the remnant into two pieces, seamed them together, put on this special backing, and then bound the runner.

 We all think this new runner is very comfy.  Phantom can often be found napping on it.

 Here we are showing you the special backing.  If any of you ever want to do something like this, the backing is called Teebaud.  Mom is very excited about her new runner.



 We like to think of it as our runway.  Ciara is going to model for us today.

AND HERE SHE IS - - - - MISS SIBE-AMERICA!!!!!

Mom, you are just being silly.  But I don't care as long as the grand prize is some yummy treats.

One last thing - Ciara wanted to show you that she has had no problem mastering her maneuvers under that table we showed you the other day.
