Lightning Update

Mom just got the call from the surgeon's assistant. Surgery is over and went well, as was expected.  She said Lightning is awake and doing well.  As long as there are no complications, we don't expect to hear any more today. The plan at this point is for Lightning to come home tomorrow morning.

 We have a comment on our post from earlier this morning from "2SpecialGoldenDoggies" about their experience with similar surgery for "Neelie". We can't find a way to reach them.  If this person sees this post, can you please email Mom at theoppack@gmail.com.  You could be a very big resource for Mom as we deal with Lightning's recovery.  Mom is terrified Lightning is going to pop his other knee and really could use some encouragement about dealing with two tears at the same time.

 Thanks to all for all your support - it is so very much appreciated.

    Thanks for the update. We are very glad the surgery went smoothly, but now for the hard part. Do you know the blog Raising Addie at http://raisingaddie.blogspot.com/? Addie has just had TPLO surgery. Not sure if it's quite the same thing, but Stacie is really nice and might be a resource.

    All paws, hooves and fingers crossed for Lightning.

    Dearest Lightning...well done on your pawagraph from the Vet!! LOL LOL LOL!!
    I hope you didn't startled the Vet Clinic with your signature Wooful wake up call. Remember to listen to your mom...you are well trained and all that she tells you is for a very good reason. As for those two youngster at your house TELL them I said they need to listen to mom too and remember their training.

    YAY! Thanks for the update. So glad the surgery went well and the big guy is awake and fine. Happy he can come home tomorrow to recover with his brother, sister and Humans - that will be grand. Keeping him inactive will be a challenge but we're going to be hoping he just senses that's what he must do. Sending all of you hugs - with a specially huge one for THE BIG GUY!!!

    OMD, I am sooooo very happy to hear your surgicals went well Lightning! I am sendin' lots and lots of POTP and healin' vibes and maybe lots of margaritas to keep you calm while you heal ☺.     Thanks for the update. So glad he is doing all right. Good luck with the rehab. Hope it all goes well. We certainly send lots of good thoughts for the rehab etc. Good think Lightning has such a good human Mom.
