So what happened here? Why does Mom have all the pots and pans and stuff out on the counter and not in the cabinet?
Last night we had a power outage at 3:00 a.m. When Mom got up later after the power was restored, she discovered that the cooktop wasn't working at all. The serviceman came and discovered that the unit is "fried". Even though we have an all home surge protector, somehow the cooktop's board blew when the power was restored. It needs a new board which may take weeks to arrive. That was NOT what the peeps wanted to hear.
We tried to tell them that we are willing to share our kibble, pumpkin, and green beans with them, but for some reason they weren't too keen on that idea:)

Another wordy Wordless Wednesday for us on the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop sponsored by Comedy Plus.
OH no on the cook top...thank goodness the Woo-Food is not in need of cooking and how kind of you to offer to share green beans and pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed the replacement comes in sooner than expected.
Hugs Cecilia
We have to say, that really stinks! That is the stuff that happens to our mom at the worst of times. Hope they can find a solution that doesn't take forever.

ReplyDeleteB*****r! Your generous offer may yet prove attractive if mum gets tired of builidng a fire every day... hugs and wags, YAM-AUNTY XXX
That is awful. You are so sweet to offer your food to your folks though. XO
ReplyDeleteOh no. That's awful. Hope it doesn't take to long. You two are most wonderful to share. You did make me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. Scritches to you both and my best to your mom. ❤️
I'm glad that's the only thing that got fried and at least all of you are safe! Love you sweet Woos!
ReplyDeleteAw, you two are so sweet to offer sharing your kibble and pumpkin! That really stinks that the cooktop blew. Hope it can be restored soon!
ReplyDeleteAwww that stinks!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet of you two to offer your parents your food. We bet there will be a lot of take out ordered until the cooktop is fixed. Hopefully you two will get a taste now and then.
ReplyDeleteUh-oh. That's not good. Who would have thought a fried stove was a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry! What a hassle.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad when one's generous offers of help are turned down.
ReplyDeleteToodle-oo!

Oh no - what a bummer but you and Timber were so sweet to offer your foodables, Misty.
ReplyDeleteso sorry, I would look at it as an opportunity to NOT COOK the entire time it took to get the part since cooking is something I truly despise. for me I would be thinking of the COST and fretting over that. I have been trying to find microwave frozen stuff that I could feed bob and everything I have tried taste awful. so far nothing decent has appeared.. I hope it doesn't break the bank and comes sooner than you thought. I wonder if there is a dog food for bob?
ReplyDeleteWe didn't know there was a recipe for fried cooktops -
ReplyDeletewould there be a dipping sauce for that ?
Paws khrossed for a quicker than expected shipment!

Oh my! That sounds crazy and very inconvenient for your humans---nice of you to offer to share your grub! We are sorry that you all have to deal with this!

Java Bean: "Ayyy, that is going to make it hard to cook! Surely the power company will reimburse your Mama and Dada for all the restaurant meals they're going to have to get now, right? ... Right ...... ?"
ReplyDeleteUgh! That is no fun!! We hopew the stove gets fix faster than expected!!

Even with a surge protector, weird stuff can happen. I hope you can get some kind of temporary replacement, maybe a "fifth burner" you plug into the wall to at least cook some.
